OOC: How are a hare and a squirrel going to fight? Are they not on the same side?
BIC: Hampin walked through the forest, hoping he didn't run into any vermin before he reached the shore.

OOC: It's okay, but maybe they mistook each other for vermin then got too caught up in the fight to realize.

BIC: Jack snickered to himself. With his excellently made fox-costume (complete with giant paintbrush tail) it would be all too easy to sneak up on the unweary bandits that lay upon the shore.

Hampin sighted the fox hiding in the ditch. He aimed and loosed his arrow.

Jack hollered and leapt a foot in the air as an arrow whistled past his head.
Perhaps the bandits were not as stupid as they had looked. Ducking behind a tree the hare drew a small axe.

Realizing that the element of surprise had been lost, Hampin slung his bow over his shoulder and drew his sword. He scrambled up the tree next to him and began sneaking towards his enemy.

Jack cautiously peered around the tree, only to suddenly dart behind it again-having expected a bally volley of the arrows.

Hampin reached the tree above the fox. Quietly, he jumped down, swinging his sword.

He never expected an attack from above and the first swing very nearly beheaded him. Reflex forced his head back (and painfully into the tree). His mask twisted over his mouth and his eyes widened when he realized he was fighting a squirrel!

"Filthy vermin! Lying in a ditch waiting for some unweary traveler!" Hampin hollered, swinging his sword wildly, the fringes of his eyes turning red with anger.

Jack raised his axe just in time to parry the blade. He opened his mouth to explain that he was a hare of Salamandastron on a very important secret mission, but found that the mask stuck over his mouth.

Hampin fully succumbed to the bloodwrath, which was very uncommon for beasts other than badgers. He continued to swing wildly, though some part of his consciousness started to realize something was wrong.

He was fighting a beast with bally bloodwrath...
Jack parried and parried as much as he could, but Hampin's blows came in furiously.
Poor vermin. An unprovoked attack from the middle of nowhere for no good reason...

Hampin swung in a downwards arc, breaking the fox mask in half. He noticed the fact that it was a hare, but he still felt out of control. He continued to attack, all the while fighting himself.

This squirrel is bally mad! Jack thought to himself, catching the blade with his axe. He might be dangerous... or a vermin in disguise!
The hare pushed the squirrel off, before bouncing forwards to plant both feet firmly into his opponent's chest.

Hampin flew backwards and slammed into the tree behind him. He looked up at the hare leaning over him as realization dawned on him.
"I-I'm s-sorry" he mumbled before he fell unconscious.

"Well... didn't expect a knock-out blow so rapidly, wot." Jack admired his non-existent muscles. "It's like the Badgerlord says, isn't it- strength comes from the goodness of your deeds." He eyed the squirrel. "Or the bally bloodwrath."
The hare stepped forwards and tugged at the woodlander's ears- when it became apparent that it was indeed a squirrel, and not a vermin wearing a mask, Jack put his paw to his chin and pondered. "I can't just leave a knocked out beast lying about when I know there are vermin in the vicinity, wot, wot. Might have to patch him up a bit. Hmmm, if only a superior could give me a bally order! This beast is dangerous!" A lightbulb went off inside his head, unveiling his latest hare-brained scheme.
"I'll tie him up!"
