Rofnard's axe is like this:

It is quite big, it has a red cordelet tied around the handle. There's a small chip missing from the blade, and the wood of the handle is white.

This will be my first project.  :)

And Warrior....... You'll love Martin's sword if/and when I do it  ;) It's not going to be just a drawing.

Hey Redwaller! Yours is done, though I'm going to admit now, it wasn't good at all.... Sorry.

OKay I'll try one if you have the time Dann.

The weapon is a sword. Rapier length and deadly sharp on both sides. It's metal shines in the sun. The middle of the blade looks like it could have writing on it but it doesn't. In the place of writing it's goldish with some incricate swirly designs on it. The hilt of the sword is woven from some reed material and is red. At the end is a blue jem.

LOL! I couldn't help but compare it to a candy cane myself!  :D

Great news everybody! I FINALLY got Solidworks functioning on my CP and will be able to do some three dimensionals! Redwallgurl's will be the first to go, and Warrior of Mossflower, if I'm going to do Martin's sword, then I'm going to wait for my Solid Works skills to improve.  ;)

P.S. Just for those who are newer. This double-post IS okay since it is an update on previous things I've worked on.

BTW, if you ever want the picture for posting reasons, just give mea holler via PM, and I'll get it to you ASAP.

What's up guys! I know it has been awhile since I've done anything in here. I haven't started the sword yet (still planning how I'm going to do it, and I need to find out how to apply properties to my creations), but I DO plan on reving up the Solidworks program on my computer and have a serious talk with it about really hard to build swords.  :D (as a help to me, If you guys just happen to think about it, please PM me a reminder, especially on Saturdays.)

Whew, been a LONG time since I've posted here. Anyway, I'm hoping to be able to get back to this soon, with Black Friday coming up AGAIN I plan on obtaining a computer fully capable of handling the software. Not only that, but I'm almost a certified Solid modeler now as well.

Axtel Sturnclaw?
Title: Re: WEAPON ART!
Post by: Dannflower Reguba on November 25, 2013, 08:37:59 PM
Ahhhh.. Axtel's hammer eh?  :) Sounds like a great firstie, Hammer's will be nice because they have nice blocky geometry to work with, It'll take awhile, but with some nagging I should have you a hammer.  ;)

Question, since you were the one to ask for his hammer, tell me what materials you want the handle and head to be made out of, if you want the designs I'm going to try and place on the primary head to be a different material as well I can do that, it'll take longer but I can do that.  :)

For example: Oak handle, stone base hammer, iron design/casing

That's just an example, heck you could ask me to make it out of water!  :D

Hey, heeeey, HEEEEY! It's DOOOOOOOOOOOOONE! And here's Axtel's hammer dear sir.  :)

What do you think?

Info- Head was made from pure lead as there were no rock options in SW and and Lead seemed the closest appearing material. Design was a type of Iron, Ductile I think, again for the color. Handle waaaaaass... Mahogany, once again for the appearance. Requests anyone?  :) (Redwallgurl, you've got preference)

Very cool!  I was wondering if you could (at some point in the future) draw a sword for me?  Specifically a sword called Frostbyte.

Hilt:  A silver knuckle guard, making it a one-handed sword.

Knuckle guard

[close]

Blade:  The blade is that of the mythical harpe, meaning that it curves slightly, but is still a double-edged blade.  It's white/silver, and has the name Frostbyte engraved near the hilt.

Sadly, I don't think a sling would work for me at the moment, construction for a weapon like that is really awkward.  :(

Rainshadow, I currently have no other commissions, so yours will be on the table with first priority currently, but if someone comes with a request from the Defiance RP then that will instantly take preference.

Totally fine.  I'm in no hurry.  I just wanted to see what a specific sword would look like for a character of mine, and since you make quite awesome weapons, I took it to you.  So no worries if it takes you five billion years to finish or anything.  :P

Oh my...  :D Come back to me if you get one in the RP, this preference only comes if your character has it. As of now, it's second on my commissions list. If your character picks one up later though, then it will jump the list to the bottom of RP commissions.  ;)

Thanks Rainshadow.  :D and be sure to tell me if YOUR character picks one of these up.  ;)

Thanks blaggut, and it's multiple drawings extruded to one point or other, I can go grab the individual renders if you want to see, I could also deconstruct the assembly to show you how they all went into the finished product.  :)

Also, Rainshadow, do you want the spikes on the knuckle guard? Or just hte guard itself?

You could also upload them to Google images if you have a Google account, but then people can use the image address to see your email and stuff. . .
