A feud has been going on between the Gretheg and the Lonel Family and their followers for generations now. Things have escalated so much in the past few years so that they now never go out unarmed and when they meet blood is often spilled. sabotage and revenge are on the rise and many creatures predict a war is coming.

The Lady Garivna Stood in front of a burning barn The flames leaping in to the sky. They had tried there best to put it out but it had gone to far. It was to late.
"This was the work of the Gretheg family and there followers." She said Watching the smoke rise like a beacon into the sky.
Zuzucath saw smoke in the distance and was delighted. The weasel hopped up and down, talking to himself with a hissing-like voice.
"Smoke from fire! Yes, yessss. . . burn, burn! Fire from smoke, no. . . smoke from burn. . . no! Smoke from fire! Fire has smoke! Yessss!" He laughed insanely. "Zuzucath hope many get burned-dead, slow-fast! Burn, fire, die, fire! Yesss. . ."
Donavin was lounging in his chair, though it was more of a throne than a chair. He drank was ale from a goblet he was holding, and looked around the banquet hall of his castle. It was a scene of chaos, drunks were stumbling around, while others danced madly, a long table staked with food, and drink, stood before Donavin. He was about to reach for a chocolate muffin, when a soldier ran up to him. He quickly whispered something in Donavin's ear. Donavin nodded, smiling. "Well that's defiantly brightened my day!"

Adlais, or Echo, as he was better known, was stood up on the walltops of Donavin's castle. He sighed deeply, and stared at the horizon. In the distance, he could see smoke, he wondered what was on fire, but soon forgot about the smoke, when he saw a messenger running up the road.
Garivna turned and her two body guards fallowed her. She walked along the path standing tall yet thinking deeply. This offence could not go uncountered. She was on guard her paw resting on her sword hilt encase the offenders where still nearby. She knew she was a prize target. This was probably done by some of hand followers not of noble blood. They would not waist time exchanging words. If it came to an attack they would use surprise. She then spotted her two other Guards in the woods that fallowed the path to the right and called them off the search. To the left of the path where open hills and farms. The day was fair and a early spring breeze blew the smell of smoke her way.
"My Lady," One of them said "Should we not be heading back. This is to close to the Gretheg lands for my liking,"
"No I have a task in mind," Garivna said and continued leading them North up the path. The guards looked at each other with questioning looks yet flowed her in silence.
Voxx hung upside-down from a tree by his hind legs. He had an arrow nocked to his bow, but he had not drawn it- Before he involved himself again, he wanted to see how Garivna would react. "No I have a task in mind." he heard, and then he saw Garivna walk north along the path. That wasn't out of Gretheg territory- It lead deeper in to it. He shook his head. No, he couldn't give chase. He had been ordered to set a fire, not to chase Garivna. He set off on a course through the wilderness- It would be a faster route, though more difficult to some. He went as fast as he could towards Donavin's castle- With luck he would arrive before Garivna had a chance to do anything detrimental towards the Gretheg.
They set fire to our land She thought Now I counter with water She Turned off the path. It was not safe to travel in the open and headed across country She soon came to a place where nestled between two hills Stood a bolder Where she stopped and relaid her plan to her men. She was going to brake the dam casing it to flood the fields. This had been the third fire that week and she needed to stop it.
Orvil sat in his office, looking over paper, and reports. He heard a light knock on the door, and looked up. "Come in."
His wife Violet walked into the room, she was carrying a scroll. "A messenger just brought this. I was coming to see you anyway, and thought I'd give it to you."
Orvil smiled, and took the scroll. He read it over, and nodded. "Very good, that's another Lonel barn burnt to the ground."
Cap'n Jallek Sparra. A very unpredictable character, he practically owned the Mossflower underworld as his criminal connections and allies seemed to be limitless. He sat in his massive chair he pillaged forms nearby village with a mousemaiden under each arm. He laughed and drank as his officers fought each other and argued in wild drunkeness. A messenger soon entered the room and carefully managed to avoid the brawling. He whispered into Cap'n Jallek's ear and stepped back as the crime lord bellowed in anger silencing the whole room,"ANOTHER BLASTED BARN DESTROYED!?!?! CURSE THOSE OTTERS TO OBLIVION!! How could we let this happen?! I'm goin to the Lonel Castle to talk to her ladyship about this pitiful hing she calls a defense!" He stormed out of the mead hall with quite the attitude to burn off.
Donavin must have drunk more than he thought. He woke up in a storehouse, with a splitting hangover. Also his boots were missing, what's with that?
Gerruk looked out over the tree he was standing in at the smoke. It made him very glad he was on the Gretheg side. Digging graves may be his proffesian, but it was hard. He twisted his tail in anxiety, for the war was starting. He realized his mistake just as he fell and hit a limb below him with a loud *THUMP* He sighed. This was the life living here.

OOC: I'm pretty sure their fine. And the post seemed ok to me.
BIC: Donavin stood up, and tottered toward the door that lead out of the storehouse. Locked. Donavin groaned, and held his head, his back against the wall, he slid to the ground. A little later, the door was unlocked by a kitchen assistant. He almost jumped out of his skin seeing his lord on sitting on the ground in front of him. "Sire!" He exclaimed.
"Shsssssssss." Donavin groaned, standing up, and leaving the storehouse, and a very confused kitchen assistant.
Voxx leapt to the ground, landed with a roll, and strode up to the Gretheg castle. He knocked hard upon the door, and shouted. "Voxx here, entry please." As the door slid open, he stepped through, and walked in to Donavin's tactical room. Strangely, it was deserted. He resolved to sit down in his place. Hopefully someone would come along soon. If not... He'd have to try something else.
The insane weasel Zuzucath licked a rusted knife, tasting dried blood. "Oh, we're going to have lots of much funs, yesss. Funs much, yes, good lots. Sshhh, here comes friend!" He watched with crazed eyes as a travelling squirrel from the Grethleg family; he was not aware he was being observed. Suddenly Zuzucath jumped up behind him and hit him hard on the back of his head. He dropped like a rock.
"Friend no scream; we make him scream, yesss." He pulled the unconscious body through the bushes by the long fluffy tail back to the insane one's filthy camp strewn with bones, rotting flesh and excrement. The squirrel awoke to this horrible sight and open his mouth to cry out. Placing a paw over the frightened creature's mouth, Zuzucath looked at him piercingly, smiling wickedly as his eyes bulged in a crazed, sick pleasure. "You 'wake now. Ready to play?"
Screams sounded through the trees, then stopped. No birds called, no wind rustled. If one were closer, he would have heard the psychotic weasel's hoarse whispered conversation. "You scream much loud; Zuzucath like. Great fun. Too bad it time to be deaded. Yesss. Deaded scream, deaded sqirrelly. Fun dead, loud. . . yesss. . ."

Adlais watched as the visitor went into the castle, then turned back to the road. He could hear screaming, but then it just stopped. Adlais gulped, he wondered who had just met their end.

Donavin found his boots, on the mantle piece in the banquet hall. He didn't question this, and just put them back on. Then a servant came up to him, and told him that there was someone here to see him. And that it was Voxx.
Donavin wasn't really in the mood to see anyone, but he knew that the officer was here for an important reason. So Donavin went off to the tactical, stopping off on the wall to drink two tankards of water, then he was there. He opened the door, and nodded to the otter.
"Morning, is it morning? Never mind, what's up?" Donavin asked, going over to his chair, and sitting down.

Violet walked round Orvil's desk, and stood behind him, massaging his shoulders. "So, what are you going to be doing today."
Orvil sighed contently, "You know, stuff, I do need to send a letter to Donavin about some business, but apart from that, I'm not really doing anything today. Why?"
Violet smiled, "Oh, I was just wondering."
Voxx nodded. "Sir! My team burned the barn as you ordered- I hung around a little longer to see if the Lonel squirrels would show up- Sure enough, Lady Garivna and another arrived. They set off deeper in to Gretheg land- I wanted to report back to you before I did anything. Also... As I walked in to this castle, I heard a scream. It sounded like our reconnaissance squirrel, Drew, though there's no way to be sure. Strange how many creatures have been disappearing recently... I've even heard a few reports of Lonel beasts vanishing."
Garvina ran in the shadows around the farms and fields with her men close behind her. She soon came in sight of the dam. She had grabbed an ax from one of the houses and ran over to the dam and started hacking at the supports.

BIC: Zuzucath dragged what was left of the squirrel's corpse to a pit he found weeks back. He threw down the grisly bundle into it, falling onto several other sad, macabre piles. He had made a cemetery.
Cap'n Jallek was en route to Castle Lonel, taking a shortcut throug Gretheg terf, he heard the sound of axes chopping on trees. He ordered for his personal escort to get down to cover while he and a mouse by the name of Harluk, master of the Thieves Guild, to follow him up ahead. He kept his head low as he crept through the woods into a small clearing. The. He heard the sound again and looked towards the great dam where he saw lady Garvina. He smiled and strolled up I the dam, arms akimbo, and said, "Mighty fine day isn't it m'lady? Such a beautiful day to destroy those darn Grethegs eh?"
Donavin thought for a moment, "Maybe Drew ran into some Lonels. Get a group together, and find out where Garvina is. Drew might be there too."

Adlais' relief guard came, and Adlais was now headed for the tavern. He went in, and helped himself to a beer, then settled down in a corner, to read.

Orvil smiled, then stood up, and kissed Violet affectingly. Just then a knocked sounded on the door. Violet smiled, "I better go."
Orvil kissed her one more time, then called for whoever it was to come in.
"Sire, and Milady," The messenger bowed, "Lonels have been sighted in Gretheg country."
OOC: Does Orvil, and Donavin's castles have names. If not could I name them.
OOC: Sure thing you can name them.
BIC: All five of them jumped around at the sound of his voice the guards pointing there weapons at him (Two of them had cross bows and the other two had swords). Garvina looked him up and down and indicated that her guards should stand down.
" You sir seem to know who I am yet I am at a disadvantage for I know not who you are," She said walking up to him standing only a pace away.
Arya headed up the path to Lonel place. She'd been hired by them to help fight, or some such thing. Then she heard a scream, and she immediately ran up a tree, since she didn't want to be delayed any more. She was already two days late! When no one passed after about five minutes, she went back down the tree and continued down the road.
OOC: Whoa whoa Jallek was supposed to be an old friend of house Lonel not a newcomer
OOC: We changed that remember. Garvina is not really the type of person to be very friendly with major crime leaders. (even if she is sabotaging the Gretheg's dam. ;)
Voxx nodded at Donavin, and walked out of the tactical room.
Outside, he climbed a tall fir, and looked down over the landscape. Garivna could have gone anywhere. Where would she be able to do the most damage... The main storehouse. That was the opposite direction of the direction she had been going in. Perhaps she was aware of his watch, and was trying to mislead him? If that had been true, he did not even have guidelines. But that was doubtful. In the direction she had been going... The main millhouse, a few farms, the dam... The dam. He cursed under his breath as he realized. She had a head start on him. If she managed to chop those props somehow... Fueled by fear, he immediately set off as fast as he could for the dam.
OOC: What is the Lonel house called? And is Garvina's name Garvina or Garivna? I've seen it both ways.....
OOC: her name is Garvina. Sorry I was working on a book of mine and one of the places in it was called Garivna :P.
OOC: Ok, Orvil's castle is called, Rhaid, and Donavin's is called, Sydd.
BIC: Orvil frowned, "In which area?"
"In right on the border between your land, and Donavin's land."
Orvil sighed, and sat in his chair, "Send a scouting party out, to check her exact location."

Donavin, now alone, wasn't quite sure what to do. Eventually he decided to go to bed, his head still hurt.

Adlais finished his book, then had one more beer. He then decided to go to his quarters, well his shared quarters.
Adlais past the kitchens on his way to his room. He stepped in, and saw his younger sister busy at work. He sneaked up behind her, and then suddenly put his paws over her eyes. She jumped almost out of her skin, and let out a screech, which attracted the attention of the head chief, who then chased Adlais out of the kitchen.
OOC: Okay. And my other question?
BIC: Arya felt a twinge in her leg, and she winced, sat down, and started to focus on her breathing. In, out, in, out. She REALLY didn't need an episode right now, since she didn't really want the Lonel's to know about her little problem. It worked. She stood back up, and continued on walking.
OOC: Oh that no idea. Buy house do you mean the castle the actual building or the figurative meaning of House as an idea?
OOC: Uh, both? How about, "Squirrels Castle"? I'm no good at naming things. :P Howe about Arya goes and gets side tracked and finds Lady Garvina? 'Cause it's kinda boring without interacting with anyone.
OOC: That would be hard cuz she is nowhere near you and she is in the exact opposite direction. Oh and Rachel can you wait till Alf replies till you run into us. I cant post till he dose.
How about Muldragon Castle and the other would be the Idea like the people and ancestors and traditions is just the Lonel House.
OOC: Yeah! Okay....I guess she'll just go in, get shown to her room, and take a nap and a bath. Not in that order, of course.

BIC: Jallek tipped his hat at the squirrel noble and replied, "Pardon my manners miz, names Jallek, Cap'n Jallek Sparra of the Sparra Syndicate. I support your cause and despise the Gretheg family almost more than I do snakes."
"Then your help would be most welcome," She said see swung the Ax around and it dug itself deep in the support. She then turned to one of the guards "You, up the tree and keep watch,"
Adlais, now rejected from the kitchen, set off to his shared quarters.

Arya got to the door, wincing whenever she put her wait and her right leg. really need a hot bath. That always does the trick. She thought, knocking. A moment later, a female voice rang out. "State your name and business, please!"

Bryony always waited in the gatehouse whenever her sister went out, just because she was a big worrywart about Garvina. Hey, that was what big sisters were for, right? She sat in one of the chairs, feeling really sleepy, and heard knocking at the gate. She frowned; That wasn't Garvina's knock. She opened the door and stepped out, and called, "State you name and business, please." A few seconds passed by, and she thought maybe she was imagining things. Then a female voiced came back over the gate, "My name is Arya, and I was hired to help fight, or some such thing. I am two days late, so I would appreciate being let in." Bryony raised her eyebrows, getting her mace and chain to make sure it wasn't a trap, and opened the door. Standing there was a female squirrel.; She smiled, "Come in." Arya put her paw on the hilt of her sword and walked in, keeping an eye on this other female.
Voxx crouched in an elm tree not far away from Jallek and Garvina- Certainly not out of earshot, or, for that matter, bowshot. He drew an arrow from his quiver- One of his special arrows, it was rigged to fill the area with a cloud of smoke. Was Garvina any other creature, he would have no chance at missing- But he had seen his arrows fly right past that filthy squirrel almost as many times as he had missed when he could first lift a bow. Should he miss, it was best to take no chances. He nocked the arrow to his cherrywood longbow, and drew a full draw- He set his snout to his arm, sighted down the feather, directly at Garvina's head- And let the arrow loose.
Arya gave a gasp of pain, but struggled on. Oh, this darn leg! But they mustn't know, if they don't already. It's getting harder and harder to find jobs, because people are starting to figure it out. They mustn't know! Bryony heard Arya gasp; She stopped and asked, "Did you say something?" When Arya shook her head, Bryony continued, and after a little while, she came to a guestroom, already prepared. As it had been for two days. "Here you are. Do you need anything?" Arya again shook her head, and Bryony left the room. A moment latershe re=appeared, dragging a tub of hot water. "You must want to wash away the dust of yoiur travels, so I thought I'd bring you this."
"Thank you." Arya replied,
there was a noise, Garvina moved, then a thud right by her head, the air filled with smoke. She coughed and coked on the smoke. and blindly dove for a tree when her paw came in contact with the bark she relaxed knowing that she would be out of danger in just a moment. She scrambled up it (She could climb a tree blindfolded if she wanted to) and as soon as the air was clear she looked around to see who there attacker was.
OOC: She would most likely have seen Voxx unless he jumped in the water while she was in the smoke, or ran into the smoke. Just giving you time to react it probably only took her round a minute to do that.
Voxx was surprised. Not that he had missed, to be honest, he had expected her to move in some way. But that she was climbing directly up the tree he was sitting in- As soon as she began to make her way up, he unstrung his bow and stepped round to the other side of the tree. He held his breath- Hopefully she would not notice him, but if she did- He would have the advantage. Surprise can be a powerful tool, or so he had learned. And this tree was tall- If he could strike her off the tree with his bow shaft before she could come to her guard, she would likely be injured, even with her finesse. The downside was, of course, the same would apply to him.
He kept his back flat against the trunk of the tree and stood perfectly still.
Garvina Looked around at the Forrest and the other trees, then a thought came to her She looked up the tree she was in. She thought she saw some thing but wasn't sure. She Knew the sound of an arrow when she heard one. This was the work of The Gretheg family. She climbed a little higher and this time was sure she had heard something.
"Harv, Harv is that you? did you see who shot that arrow?" She said Looking up the tree. Harv had climbed up another tree and at the sound of Garvina's voice He looked around and saw her in the tree and not to far up the tree was an otter!
"My lady watch out!"
Arya relaxed, just letting the hot water soothe and calm and wash away the dust. After a little while longer, she climbed out, and dressed in her spare clothes, and then layed on the bed, thinking. Three minutes later, she was sleeping like a silent log.
Donavin woke, he didn't know how long he'd been in bed, but at least his head wasn't throbbing now.
He got up, and got dressed then let the room. He walked down the long stone corridor, a green carpet stretched the full length of the corridor.
Donavin reached the stairs at the end of the corridor, the stairs were also covered with the green carpet. Donavin made his way down the stairs, and into the front hall. Not the banquet hall, that was located in the centre of the castle. The front hall was magnificent though, Donavin had made sure it was. Great paintings decorated the walls, the floor was made from the finest oak, and the doors, that were nine ft, high, were also was made of oak. Beside the doors, were stain glass windows, on the walls, that didn't have paintings hanging on them, were tapestries, depicting great battles, harvests, ect. There was a huge fireplace, with sofas placed near it. But the fire wasn't on, the weather outside was warm, and pleasant.
Donavin liked this room, as a child he had spent a lot of his time in here. But the day outside was too nice to spend indoors. Donavin walked over to the huge doors, there was a smaller door inside on of the bigger doors, he opened the smaller door, and walked outside.
Voxx heard the warning, and knew it was about him. He swung himself around the tree and a branch up, standing on the same level as Garvina. He struck out at her with his unstrung bow stave, hoping to catch her at least somewhat off guard. The warning had been none too specific- she might not yet be aware of his presence.
Garvina heard the warning and saw The otter coming at her. She flipped upside down and then swung on to the branch below them.
OOC: Nice moves!
Voxx quickly drew a knife, and with the flick of a grapneled rope, he tethered himself to the branch he stood on by his belt. He jumped as far off as he could, sideways, so that he would swing past Garvina. Should he miss his strike with the knife, he could always turn and make another pass. He narrowed his eyes, and tucked his arm, in the perfect position to slash the squirrel.
As soon as Garvina landed on her feet she drew her sword and glancing up she saw what he was up to. She only had moments to react and slashed at the rope as he passed.
Harv watched from his place in the tree with his cross bow aimed at the otter yet he couldn't shoot for fear of hitting Garvina.
Voxx guessed that she might do that. The rope was intended to withstand quite a lot of punishment, though, and so it held. Barely. Voxx knew he could not hang by a single fiber for more than a few seconds. He attempted to use his momentum and few seconds of tether to backflip up onto the limp his grapnel had latched on to- but his momentum was not enough, and he saw himself flying head first at Garvina. Time seemed to slow around him- It occurred to him that he would likely die- fifty feet without a tether is a long way to fall. Resolute that his death would count for something, he somehow managed to swing his body round so that should he impact in to Garvina, he would do so foot first. He lost his sense of calm, and time seemed to resume its normal course. He saw his feet rushing towards a startled squirrel, and he tightly shut his eyes, preparing for the probable impact.
Garvina thinking fast (like always) dropped her sword and it clattered down threw the breaches towards the ground. She now had both paws free. She wrapped her arm tightly around an adjacent branch and with her other paw grabbed for the otter hoping to stop his fall. He may wish her dead but she was not the same.
Voxx fell directly in to Garvina's outstretched arm. He nearly tumbled off the branch regardless, however he did manage to catch his balance. He wiped sweat from his brow and shuddered. "You did not take my life. No, more than that. You preserved it. Why? You know I likely would not have done the same for you or yours."
"We are not barbarians we are royalty and we must act so even among said company. Fighting is one thing but death is quite another. I will not be reasonable for your death. The repercussions would be unthinkable," She said
OOC: You can attack her again if you want.
"If you will not slay me, then I cannot slay you. I have no wish to, and I never did, however I will do what I must to defend my House. Though I must warn you, if you continue to saw at the dam, I will be forced to fight you. I have no wish to do so. Go in peace."
"You call that peace! Three barns have been burnt down buy your lot! One of which had an entire villages food supply in it!"
"We had no choice! The militia from those villages had to be silenced. We tried to be diplomatic, but that is difficult when the militia murders your representatives."
Zuzucath had been wandering around for a while, looking around aimlessly for something to do. Then he came across the dam; many creatures were there. He giggled insanely. "How much fun will Zuzucath have? Lots and lots of fun, yesss!" He crouched in the bushes behind them, pulling out a blowpipe. He sang a nonsensical song quietly as he put the pipe to his lips. "One go pop, one go flop. How many dead, shot in the head? Great fun time, when you have spine. Many go bye, after they die!" He blew two darts at them.
OOC: You can blame each other if you want, or try to catch him.
" I promise you that we did not touch you men! I will..." Garvina Stopped and felt a pain in her neck she reached back and puled out a dart. She held tightly to a branch and her vision started to blur. "Quick tie me to the tree,... I... I've been drugged," She managed to say fighting to stay awake.
Bryony decided to check on the mercenary squirrelmaid, and she peeped in and saw that she was on the bed, out like a log. A log with a twitchy right leg. She shrugged, and managed to get the tub out quietly, not waking Arya. After that, she thought she'd go to the Infirmary, just to see if the Sister knew what was going on. Bryony was hungry all the time, and so sleepy! She went in, and described her symptoms. Five minutes later, she was walking out with a huge smile on her face. She decided that Garvina would be the first to know, since her husband was away. Well, she could always write a letter! She went back to her gatehouse post, still ridiculously happy.
Voxx's eyes widened, as he saw and heard another dart whiz right by his ear. He unwound a rope from his waist, and bound Garvina to the branch, with a long distance of slack. "Try to lower yourself to the ground- Should you fall, you'll land about five feet above the ground." He jumped to another branch, closer to the ground, and then another. He finally dropped to the ground, and, with a roll, he ran in the direction the dart had come from. Dodging, ducking, and weaving, he caught a glimpse of a mangy creature with a blow gun hiding in the bushes. He dodged behind a tree and called out, "It's savage looking- Covered in blood. I don't think we can reason with this one."
A crazed voice sounded. "Reason is just a word to Zuzucath, yesss. Want to play some more?" He blew another dart, then ran off cackling. "Play, play, lots of fun! Do not fall or you are done! Little tasties, tasty littles, start a fire for my vittles!" He crouched down in the dry leaves and moss, striking flint to steel until he ignited the tinder. "Have more fun! Yesss. . ."
Garvina started to climb down but her grasp kept slipping She stopped half way down and knew she wouldn't make it she sat on a branch and with shaky paws she tied a secure knot to around her and the branch so that she would not fall and then blacked out. Two of the guards on the ground fallowed Voxx and the creature and Harv started running threw the tree to help Garvina.
Donavin was bored, he wandered around the grounds of the castle for a while, but that didn't occupy his attention for long. Nothing did, he lost interest quickly, and then went onto do something else for a while, then got bored again.
Donavin found himself on the walltop, firing arrows out onto the grassy plain outside the gates. A young otter lad, of about fifteen was outside also, he was one of Donavin's aids. He fetched the arrows, and placed little green flags as markers where the arrows had been so Donavin could tell how far his arrows were going.
Donavin had been doing this for about fifteen minutes, and was already getting bored. He wanted to compete against someone, like actually compete, not beat them hands down.
Donavin loosed off another arrow, this one went further than the others, much further. Donavin looked out to where it went, it almost reached the woods, but fell a bit short. His aid, Zeffa, ran to fetch it.
Voxx saw a flash of white, and then heard the sound as a smoothly carved bone dart slid within inches of his arm. He leapt to the side, drew his bow, and fired three shots in to the bushes, in rapid succession. Having hit nothing, he fished around in his quiver, and drew another arrow. He aimed it directly up, and let it fire. When it hit the apex of its flight, it let off a screeching like steel on steel, and burst into a puff of wood sawdust, which promptly caught fire and burnt to a crisp. His second vertical arrow let off a clear note, like the sound a flute would make, and puffed into a cloud of silvery, fine tin dust, which blew away on the breeze. The message would be clear to any of his specialized force.
Come quickly, in force. Stealth and/or diplomacy is required, come quietly and do not attack.
He turned to the two Lonel guards behind him. "I've called for reinforcements- I think we have found the source of our screams. Surely you heard them as well? We lost a good squirrel today, and If I'm correct, that cannibalistic madbeast has caused losses on both sides. Did you hear him? 'Play, play, fun, little tasties.' I believe murder is a crime in both of our Houses, despite the things we've both been forced to do."
OOC: The poison shouldn't kill her, just put her in a fever for a bit. Make sure she keeps hydrated.
The two guards looked a little uncomfortable with the situation but agreed to help. although the younger of the two said "How do we now that it was not one of your men that shot the dart? We did not see this creature only you," But the other gave him a look which made him keep his mouth shut. When Harv reached Garvina she was lying limp against the trunk. He took the rope an carefully lowered her down to the ground. He cut the rope and leaned her against the base of the trunk.
Voxx raised an eyebrow. "How do you know, eh? Well, I suppose you don't. But even if my word isn't good enough for you, you've got nothing else to go on. Believe me or not, as you will."
Striding over to Garvina, Voxx shouldered his bow- Though he kept it unstrung. Tilting his head, he regarded Harv. "Do you think she'll be alright?"
Zuzucath watched the fire he made grow, smiling with insane pleasure. "Burn them all, yesss."
"She seems pretty hot," He said and Garvina started to come round. She blinked her eyes open and placed a paw on her head it was throbbing. "Why do I smell smoke?" she asked coughing.
"Smoke...?" His eyes widened. "Smoke. That insane creature... I hope he doesn't intend what I think he does."
The weasel streaked his way through the trees, cackling and talking aloud to himself. "Fire, fire, burn! Great sillybeasts be all cooked up! Great fun, time to run!"
Voxx turned his head sharply. "I could have sworn I heard somebeast talking. And that pillar of smoke..." He was cut off by the call of a jay. He looked up at a tree, with a quizzical expression on his face, and then nodded and grinned. "Get down 'ere, Lyrion, and don't attack. It would seem that we have a common enemy, and he's stoking a fire."
Lyrion and the rest of the force- Five creatures in all- dropped out of the trees. Their bows were strung, but not drawn. They stood stock still, apparently uncomfortable with the situation.
OOC: Zuzucath has already run away. :P
OOC: Like, pretty darn far away, or within loud earshot?
Garvina stood up and placed a paw on the trunk of the tree to steady herself. Her head was still throbbing and she was braking into a cold sweat. What was in that stuff? She thought. She looked at the new comers and gave them a curt node. She looked at the smoke it was rising and getting bigger by the second. it had been dry for the past few days. If they didn't put it out there would be a forest fire! The smoke was already beginning to make her eyes water or was that the dart.
OOC: If you yelled, he'd hear.
BIC: The insane creature stopped running and clambered up a tree, looking at the smoke. He rubbed his paws gleefully and waited.
Donavin heard a sound that sounded like steel on steel, then in the distance he saw a bright flame, which quickly disappeared.
Well that's gotta be Voxx, I wonder what's going on? Should I send a group out just to see if everything is alright?
Donavin decided he'd do this, he was quite honestly bored, again, and though that he could go out too.
Donavin took out his dagger, and held it up so the sun would shine off it. A sigh to Zeffa to come back.

Adlais was sitting on his bed, reading. Without meaning to, he occasionally spoke out loud what he was reading. Fortunately there was no one in the room to complain.
Just then, there was a knock at the door, then it opened. "Adlais, Lord Donavin is taking a scout party out to check up on Voxx. You've been selected to go."
Adlais looked up from his book, "I'll get ready, when'd we go?"
"Fifteen minutes."
Bryony looked out of the window of the gate house, and frowned. There seemed to be more smoke, but this time instead of in the squirrel's land, but in the otter's. She hoped it wouldn't hurt Garvina.
Fifteen minutes later, the scout party was setting out, headed by Donavin, with one of his captains, Dan, at his side, and Zeffa trailing just behind.
"Sire! Smoke up ahead, in the woods!" One of the men shouted out, pointing.
Donavin looked, an angry look came into his eyes, "That snake! We burn her barns, and she comes to burn our forest! She's mad! It'll wipe everything out! Her territory will also be affected!"
Adlais shook his head in frustration, why did those squirrels never think?
The flames had caught to the underbrush and was now beginning to climb up the trees. they had tried to put it out but it had been useless.
"We have to stop it before it gets out of hand!" She said the light of the fire dancing in here eyes She ran back to the dam she grabbed a flaming branch and set fire to the wooden supports.
The scout party was running now, they got there just in time to see Garvina set fire to the dam. "STOP HER!" Dan shouted.
Everyone grabbed for there bows, and brought them up, ready to fire.
Gravina dropped the branch but the work was done the flames began to eat away at the supports and soon they would give way. "It is the only way to stop this fire from destroying us all!" She said. She then doubled over and started coughing. The heat and the smoke plus the poison of the dart was to much.
Zuzucath rocked the limbs back and forth in his glee. He could see small figures running about, trying to stop each other and the fire. "Yesss, yesss! Run, run, while you can! Soon your dam won't be a dam! First it pop, then it stop. Then you all go burn!"
Donavin hadn't heard her, and raised his bow, ready for the kill. But then Dan got hold of his shoulder, "Sir, she's right, and we can take her hostage. It would be better than killing her, just think."
Donavin didn't want to think, he wanted to kill Garvina, but Dan was right. "Fine." Donavin spat, lowering his bow slightly.
Voxx snatched a machete from one of his team, and began hacking at the underbrush. "All with swords! Assist me! The flood caused by the dam won't help the fire here, we need a firebreak, quickly!"
Harv tried to help Garvina he touched her face "You are burning up!," He said "Aren't we all," She said Under her breath. "I'm fine! We need to move before it brakes!" She said to Donavin.
OOC: Whoa! In way off track here! I need to get on more often I guess. I'm just gonna restart my character.
BIC: Cap'n Jallek Sparra led his team away from the small village they had stolen some mysterious goods from back into their territory when he saw smoke and heard the clanging of metal. "Hold up! Drop the spice and get down!" He whispered to his men. "Take out your dirks an crossbows boys but don't attack! This might just be another squabble of those Lonels and Grethegs. You two! Take those spice crates and follow up the rear. Now all you scallywags pipe down!" He drew his cutlass and snuck through the tree floor towards the noise and remained calm as he did not know what would lay ahead of him and his smugglers.
OOC: OH! Getting captured would be a good plot twist and it would give Arya and Byoney and Jallek something to do. I Am loving this!
BIC: Gravina straitened up and Realized that she did not have her sword! She saw it lying on the ground by the tree where she had dropped it. Not that it would have been any use. They where severely out numbered but now she had no way to protect her self. The dam began to groan and she repeated the urgent command "We need to leave before the dam goes!" She would have already have gone if there hadn't been over 5 arrows (OOC: How many creatures do you have?) pointed at her.
OOC: I have five, not including myself, but I think two of them are probably chopping away at undergrowth with me. Donavin's not my character, but I'd guess he has around six-ten. Any more would probably be cumbersome unless they were absolutely needed, like in a war.
OOC: Including Donavin there's seven in my group.
BIC: "Arrest her, and her men!" Donavin snapped out the order.
Adlais, and two others, who had ropes with them, ran over, "Don't try anything funny or your dead." Adlais threatened as he approached Garvina.

Orvil was writing a letter to Donavin, though he was having some difficulties wording it. Him, and Donavin weren't exactly on bad terms with each other, but they weren't close either. Eventually he finished, and sealed it, then called for a messenger to take the letter, to Castle Sydd.
"Do as he says!" She said to her men "Although the ropes are completely unnecessary."
"Just do as your told." Adlais snapped, as he bound Garvina.
OOC: Is that ok?
OOC: Fine.
BIC: "Fine but lets Get out of here!" She said Otters where so thick! you help them, a once in a life time thing, and what do they do? Capture you and tie you up. Wasting time.
Now that all the squirrels were bound, Donavin decided to send some of his otters back to the castle with the prisoners. The rest would stay here, and try to put the fire out. "Dan, Adlais, take five otters back to Sydd with you, and the prisoners. Don't let them escape, if they do, I'm holding you two personally responsible. The rest of us will stay here, and sort out this fire."
Dan protested, he had served Donavin faithfully for years, they'd grown up together, but he didn't want to leave him here, "Sir, come back with us. It's not safe here."
"I can handle myself, and Voxx is here too, now get going. That's an order." Donavin said, then went to help Voxx.
Dan sighed, and selected the otters who we're coming back with them, "Ok, let's get going."
Garvina walked standing tall and proud trying to hide how she felt. She was flashing from hot to cold and her eyes watered from the smoke or was the the fever she could not tell. She had given in so quickly and She realized she didn't have the strength to argue or try to escape or even negotiate. Her mouth felt dry and she felt sick the poison from the dart was doing its work. She realized that all this was His fault that mad beast with the dart. The beast who had shot her...
Adlais was guarding the rear, he had his bow loaded, and trained on Garvina's back. Though he did have to say, she didn't look well. she had also given in easily, so had her men.
"No, no! Not good water! Stop lovely fire." Zuzucath pouted. The he smiled evilly. "More tasties to have for Zuzucath, yesss. Not all will go back! Yesss. . ."
Garvina felt the hair raise on the back on her neck the feeling she got when ever an arrow was aimed at her. It was that insane creatures fault. She resolved that as soon as things where back to normal she would Send out a search party and have the Forrest combed For him. She would have him in her dungeon.
Donavin's head shot up, "Did you guys hear that?"
Zuzucath snuck up behind one of the otters, covering his surprised cry and slitting his throat with deadly efficiency. "Shhh, mustn't loud-make, time for quiets, yesss my tasty. . ."
Garvina knew That her men where only here to protect her. She had gotten them in this mess. "Please it is me you want, let my men go. You have nothing with them,"
Arya woke up the instant that Zuzucath slit the otter's throat. She shook her head, trying to get rid of the fog in it. She got up and rubbed her neck, then went to get some water. She stopped, looked out the window, and saw why her intuition had woken her up. Smoke. And where there was smoke, there was fire. Fire had a nasty habit of getting out of control, especially around forests. She grabbed her gear, and ran out of the room. This Garvina wasn't here, or she would have been woken up. She dashed down a flight of stairs, turned left, and found herself in a big room with a huge table. And a passing squirrel. She grabbed him and spun him and spun him around, slamming him against the walk as she did so. "Quick, tell me how to get out of this place. Now." She commanded, the squirrel gulped, told her to retrace her steps, to the bottom of the steps. Turn left, not right, and she'd see the door. She flung him away and was off. The squirrel sat up, rubbing his throat. He made a mental note to steer clear of this crazy maid in the future.
Unaware of the occurances, Voxx called for assistance. "Nalis, Dragor, Vern, I require assistance with the firebreak!" Two otters drew machetes and strode over to Voxx.
Vern called out. "Sir, is Nalis with you?" Voxx continued to hack at shrubbery. "No, I thought he was near you. Hmm, no time for that now. We need to finish this and get out of here, then we can do a hunt for him."
Donavin had strayed away from Voxx, and the main group. He had heard something, like someone laughing, or cackling.
Donavin drew both his dagger, and dirk, and held them ready, his eyes searching.

Dan, laughed, "What, and let them go get a force to come, and attack us! Not likely, Milady." He said the last word sarcastically, a scornful look on his face.
Adlais went over to him, and whispered in his ear, "We could send two of them back to her castle, to let them know we have her. We could make demands of them, for her return, or for her well fair. I've heard she has a sister, I'm sure she'd do anything to keep Garvina safe."
Dan gave Adlais a look, and whispered back, "You son of the devil, Echo. Not a bad idea, we'll have to run it by Donavin first, when he gets back. You know, I've heard that Donavin's thinking about promoting you to a Captain. This might just convince him to."
Arya ran through the gate, passed a startled Bryony, who called her to wait, and slow down, and unbarred the gate and dashed out, and promptly fell down. "This stupid leg! Please not now. Later, then you can hurt all you want. Just now now." She picked herself, shrugged off Bryony - Who'd come to see if she was alright - And took off again, albeit slower.
Zuzucath dragged the otter's body a little ways off, then went back to peek at the goings-on. "Yesss, fight, fight my tasties! Then Zuzucath will clean up the rest! Yesss. . ."
OOC: Skarzs, could you go after Donavin, (he's gone off alone) then can they have a big fight or something.
Garvina gave up realizing that it was hopeless to reason. The Otters had no hearts. She then broke in to another fit of coughing. She had been breathing in to much smoke when she had tried to help put out the fire. At least she had done what she came for the dam was burning and would soon snap. A small triumfant grin spreed over her face to cover up what she felt deep down. If that was all she had made a dent, a large one, the forest was burning and the dam would take forever to rebuild.
Zuzucath saw Donavin go off into the bushes near him. "Oh, here's one tasty, all alone. Shall we have him? Yesss, Zuzucath will have him. Sshh. . . he hears, for he has ears. Follow him we shall, until dead he fall! Good little tasty, we shall make this hasty!" He twisted around the trunk of the tree, following the otter.
OOC: Skarzs, is Zuzucath based (Even loosely)( on Gollum/Smeagol from Lord of the Rings?
OOC: Slightly; he talks to himself, speaks strangely, and eats things that should not be eaten. But he does not walk on all fours, does not have a double personality, lives to kill, uses weapons, and cannot be talked to.
OOC: True. So he is really, really loosely on him, in my opinion.
Gerruk decided whatever was going on was not for him. He saw smoke, even heard a few shouts. He jumped into an un filled grave.
Ooc: Is there a good guy bad guy thing going on? Also, any time where Gerruk could, say, shack a beast upside the head with a shovel?
OOC: What do you mean Good guy bad guy. In this RP there really is not a distinct line as to who is the good guy and who it the bad guy Although Skarzs at the moment has created a character that is the enemy of both familys (although they don't quite know that yet.)
Donavin was sure he was being followed, or someone was near him. He could just feel it.
OOC: Skarzs, Zuzucath can jump on Donavin, and slightly wound him if you like. Just don't go to far till I post. ;)
BIC: Adlais inwardly danced with delight, but he kept his face solemn. "It's nice to know that I'm held in such high respects."
They were nearing Castle Sydd, Dan waved at a guard on the walltop to let them in. The guard nodded, and was then lost to sight.
Garvina watched and a naught began to form in her stomach. She dreaded this. She had never been in the Grethegs castle.
Not too long later, the gate opened, they were faced with abut seven otters, all with their bows aimed on Garvina, and her men.
The leader of the group walked up to Dan, "Wow, you've really come home with a prize catch. When Fuylo told me you'd captured Garvina, I thought he'd gone made!"
Dan smiled, "So would I. Now we better prepare a cell for our, guests. Lock her men up in the cells, but we better find a more comfortable room, she is of noble blood, and we don't want the Lonels to think we're monsters."
OOC: Ok, I really didn't mean to do that at the end. :P
OOC: Fuylo... Seriously... now you are making fun of me. Oh and Try Monsters instead of animals.
BIC: "It is probably to late for that," Garvina said keeping her head held high. It made her blood burn to hear them talking about her like that as if she was not even there.
OOC: I just came up with Fuylo off the top of my head, I had no intention of..... anything.
BIC: Adlais silenced a snigger, by turning it into a cough. "I'll escort her to a secure chamber." He offered.
Dan nodded, "Fine, you three, take her guards to the cells."
OOC: LOL that's OK I actually laughed when I read it. ;D
BIC: Garvina disliked all the arrows any one beast could at any moment chose to disobey and let fly. The prospect made her feel more sick than she already did. She had to constraint so as not to stumble.
Arya was now off-course. She still knew her way around, so not lost, she just wondered if maybe the family of otters in the little cottage about the miles ahead knew anything. She was greatly in debt to them, that was for sure, and besides, it had been awhile since she'd visited. She just wouldn't have time to stay very long.
Adlais drew his dagger, and poked Garvina's back with it, "Let's go then."
OOC: I think we are enjoying this to much. I am having a serious Daja vu moment. Otters Squirrels me getting captured and then locked up. Next come the glaring and then some one has to crush on me... What is i with me and Rachel... ;D
BIC: "Watch it with that thing," Garvina said stumbling forwards. She tripped and put her bound paws out to catch herself. She felt the jolt as she landed and her head began to throb.
Arya burst into the otter's cottage. "Hi, everyone! Sorry to disturb your meal, but have you seen anything fishy around here today?" She asked. They shook their heads no. "You might try the Castles." One of them said. Arya considered this, the smiled. "I'll check it out, thanks! guys! Oh, and don't expect to see me for awhile. I'm now in the service of Lady Garvina. Bye, everyone!" Then she vanished.
OOC: I actualy have a friend named Donavan, so it's odd to spell it like Donavin. :P
BIC: Zuzucath clambered up a tree; he was near Donavin and could sense the otter's apprehension. (Donavin is an otter, right?)
"Sshh, little tasty, Zuzucath will take care of you, yesss."
He pulled a rusty dagger from it's padded sheath, licking it with sick satisfaction. "Time to scream, then no more dream!"
He flung himself on his prey.
OOC: Yep, he be an otter alright. @Faiyloe, we're hopeless aren't we? ::)
BIC: Donavin spun round, hearing something coming towards him, he was knocked flat on his back, losing his dagger, but managing to keep hold of his dirk.

Adlais huffed, "Get up!"
Garvina got up slowly biting her lip to keep from trying to attack Aldis and breathing hard.
"Shh, little tasty," Zuzucath hissed. "This will all be over soon, yesss."
An insane light went into his eyes as he raised his dagger.
For a moment, Donavin was terrified, unsure what to do, then he spun into action, lashing out at his attacker's face with both fists.

Adlais indicated a room, "This'll be yours, don't even think about trying to escape, the door will be locked, and the window is barred in this room." He took a key out of a pouch on his belt, and opened the door.
Zuzucath fell backwards and dropped his dagger, Donavin's fists having made direct contact. He licked at his bleeding lip. "Oh, you make blood, time for more blood!" He reached to his belt, pulling out a gaff hook. "Zuzucath is here; no need to fear!"
He swiped sideways, then pulled it up to strike downwards.
Garvina hardly cared she just wanted them to leave so she could lie down.
Donavin rolled sideways, and up into a crouch, then he shouted at this monster, hoping Voxx would hear, "Just try it cannibal!"

After Garvina had entered the room, (OOCshe has hasn't she?) Adlais locked the door, and went to find someone to be a guard.
Zuzucath only hit dirt, twisting to face his opponent once more. "Ooh, you want live time, no more time live. No one come this time. Great times, death times!" The weasel jumped, swinging the nasty weapon with one arm, the other arm punching out wildly.
Garvina went over to the bed and sat down after she had rested a moment she got up then using the corner of a table she began to feverishly work at the rope tying her paws. When she had finished she staggered over to the bed and lay down.
Donavin dodged the swinging blade, but as a reward got punched in the face. He hit the ground, his nose bleeding, there was also a steady trickle of blood pouring out of his mouth from where he bit his tongue.
But Donavin wasn't one to sit around, and wait to be rescued, he got straight back up, and swung at the weasel with his dirk.
Pain altered Zuzucath's mind as the dagger cut into his leg. "Bad otter, make Zuzucath hurt! No, yesss, make you scream much, much scream, yesss. . ."
He tripped over a root as he staggered over to Donavin, screaming in frustration.
OOC: What'd I miss?
OOC: NM, Zuzucath is trying to kill Donavin. ::)
OOC: Okay, anything else?
OOC: Garvina was captured, cut her bonds, and is now resting. That's it.
OOC: Okay. Hey, Faiy, maybe Arya could meet up with one of the runners (Which you could do), and hear about Garvina's capture that way. And maybe then she does something completely reckless that works. ;)
OOC: What do you mean runners?
BIC: Garvina tossed and turned she felt hot and cold at the same time and her mouth was dry and parched. She hardly noticed that she was in a strange room on a strange bed and she didn't care. For a moment she thought that maybe the dart had been fatal then she fell into a fevered sleep.
OOC: Adlais is sending two of Garvina's squirrel's to tell Bryony, that Garvina has been captured.
BIC: Donavin smiled grimly as his dagger cut flesh, then the weasel went down. Donavin leapt forward, hoping to maybe pin his opponent to the ground before going in for the kill.

Adlais had found someone to guard Garvina's door, then he had gone to grab something to eat. He was starving.
OOC: Oh... but that hasn't happened yet. Oh and just a warning Garvina is in no shape to escape. :P Oh and Rachel I had this idea once the otters find out how sick Garvina is they try and help and try to do a little bloodletting (which is normal) but Garvina refuses to let them. I have had this idea ever since she got captured.
OOC: Ok........
OOC: Yes I am wired... ;D :P. It was just a suggestion. if you don't want to that's Ok. (And bloodletting is what every one dose there when they get sick even the Lonel's so it wouldn't seem wrong or barbaric. the only reason Garvina would refuse would be because she dose not trust them)
OOC: No it was a good ok. And I have no problem with bloodletting. ;D
OOC: Ok... now we just sound crazy. :D :P

"Hueghzergubalagueagh!" Zuzucath shrieked as Donavin leapt on him; his arm was pinned beneath him. He spat and twisted underneath the otter.

"Zuzucath keeeel you! Kiiilll!" Any rational thinking was gone from the weasel, now simply fighting for blood. He got off the ground, twisting his body unnaturally. "Kill, fire, burn, yesss! Make otter scream bigloud!"
Donavin covered his head with his paws, the weasel had almost kicked him in the face. Donavin then rolled out of the way, "Voxx! Voxx! Voxx!" Donavin shouted helplessly, as he got to his feet. He was almost frozen with fear, he couldn't think what to do, except call for help. Then he had a thought, he loaded up his in record timing, and got ready to bring it round to fire at the mad weasel.
OOC: Fire what?
OOC: An arrow
OOC: Oh, I thought she meant a gun. :P I was like "Wuuut?"
BIC: Zuzucath saw the bow; he dropped to the ground and rolled getting up again to run straight toward Donavin.
Donavin fired, but his opponent dodged out of the way, and was now running at him. He loaded up his bow as quickly as he could, and tried to aim, but couldn't get a clean shot.
OOC: Just shoot; it'll hit his right shoulder ;)
OOC: Ok, I just didn't want to in case you weren't happy with it.
BIC: The weasel was getting closer, Donavin calmed his breathing, focused, and fired.
Voxx and his small group had finished their firebreak- The fire was unlikely to spread far, with the dam on one side and the break on the other. Gesturing to his soldiers, Voxx ran breakneck out of the burning forest. Vaulting over a fallen log, he called out to his deputy. "Get back to the rest! I'm going to try to find Donavin."
As a flaming treetop narrowly missed him, Voxx left the burning wood and entered a shaded clearing. Flickering tongues of flame shone upon a terrible scene- Donavin was locked in combat with a matted, blood-caked creature. Voxx drew his bow and stepped back into the shadows.
OOCD: Well, I was just thinking that that would be a nice way for Arya and Garvina could meet. Plus it would show a bit more of her personality and character.
OOC: ;) Just a warning Garvina is stubborn. And way to heavy for her to carry. She wouldn't let her any way.
Zuzucath fell heavily as the shaft hit him in his shoulder. "Eeek! Pain, flame! Good, no! Bad!" the weasel screamed as he writhed on the ground. He held his shoulder with one paw, his eyes wide in pain; one pupil looked to the left and the other to the right.
Donavin loaded up his bow, and got ready to finish the weasel off. But then he thought he saw Voxx, over by the trees. "Voxx!" He called out, temporarily taking his eyes off the wounded weasel.
OOC: Skarzs, do you want to end the fight now? If so, Zuzucath could get away while Donavin wasn't looking. But if you want to continue, you can wound Donavin in some none fatal way while he's not looking at Zuzucath.
Voxx called out. "Sir! If you could dodge two meters to the left, on my mark, I could likely get a clear shot."
OOC: Voxx is focusing on Donavin for a moment, either a wound or a flee are still possible. Not going to mess that up :P
OOC: How about a wound and flee? ;D
BIC: Zuzucath drew a sharp wooden spike from a pouch at his side, striking out at Donavin's leg; it was coated in the same poison that he had used on Garvina.
OOC: I thought it would make things more interesting if Zuzucath got away, and could be later hunted down.
OOC: Yeah, that could be interesting. Both houses could join together with a rather uneasy truce, and hunt him down. Yeah, I know; I'm butting in. I'm bored. It isn't much fun to RP without interacting with someone for long periods of time.
BIC: After Arya'd raced away from the otter's hut, she'd started zig-zagging across the otter's territory, getting closer to the smoke. She suddenly heard ""Eeek! Pain, flame! Good, no! Bad!" She raced up a tree and saw a odd-looking weasel on the ground, and two otters. Then the weasel suddenly slashed with a dart at the closer otter's leg. She gave a small gasp, but did not interfere; It was the otter's fight. But it seemed that the otter that had been slashed at was high born: His clothes were nicer, if a little stained from the fight. So, if neecs be, she'd step in, but only if she had too.
OOC: Yes, dance, dance my puppets! ;D Lol, this is going well.
OOC: Huh?
OOC: It's funny how you're all doing what I had hoped, like puppets. ;D
OOC: You mean, you wanted to attract Arya's attention?
OOC: Geez! I need to get on more often! I'm kinda lost again sorry so if I mess something up don't freak out and I once again apologize.
BIC: Jallek Sparra had trailed the otters when the brought the quite lovely lady Garvina to their castle and then left to return to his smugglers. He walked towards his underground lair when he bumped into a weasel, knocking them both down on the ground, "Oi! Watch where your goin' eh? I could 'ave yew skinne and strung up that ole tree over yonder!"
Donavin cried out in pain, and went down clutching his leg. Although the wound wasn't too deep, there was a lot of blood.
Zuzucath struggled to his feet, kicking out at Donavin before scurrying away through the underbrush. "Kill them all, make them die! Yesss. Fire burn, poison run deep! Yesss. . ."
Donavin screamed as the weasel kicked him hard in the face. He tried to get up, but couldn't, his leg wouldn't support him.
Voxx loosed an arrow from his bow, hoping to strike Zuzucath in the head with it. He dropped his bow and drew a pair of daggers, then launched himself at the creature.
Zuzucath felt his ear tear off, and screamed. He stumbled in his steps, and fell down.
OOC: Maybe Voxx could trip on Zuzucath.
Voxx had not expected the weasel to fall like that- Caught off guard, he stumbled over the footpaw of the weasel. He managed to roll to his feet, however he dropped his smaller dagger in the process. Rolling to his feet, he stepped lightly around the weasel- Wary, should he be bluffing.
The weasel snarled, picking up a fistful of dirt and throwing it at Voxx, then crawled swiftly away.
OOC: Donavin is poisoned too ;D (ok I shouldn't be happy about that. :P)
OOC: Yesss. . . ;D I'm a dreadful little schemer, aren't I? >:D
Ary saw what happened as if in slow motion: The otter that was lashed out at falling, then screaming....The weasel's kick, his ear being torn off.....The other otter, firing an arrow and jumping at the weasel, and tripping......When the weasel started crawling towards her btree, she waited a moment, then leaped, shouting no warcry as she did so. As long as the weasel continued on his path, she'd land directly on him.
OOC: Skarzs, I propose Zuzucath gets jumped on, they fight for a minute, and then the weasel gets away. Deal?
OOC: Sounds peachy.
BIC: Zuzucath continued forward, stumbling against a tree. He leaned against it, rubbing at his ear stub. "Bad, bad otters! Bad squirrels, too! Kill 'em, kill 'em all! Death! No, yes! Yesss. . ."
Jallek arose and brushed off the dirt on his tunic. He then tipped his hat at the woodlanders. "Top o' the day! Now, who's gonna explain to me what I seen to have stumbled apon?"
Donavin watched what happened with Voxx, and the weasel, but then his eyes began to droop. What was wrong with him? How could he feel sleepy in this amount of pain?
Arya landed on the weasel, and then leaped off. She drew her sword, then settled into her "Ready" Stance, then lunged, aiming to take of his other ear.
OOC: Bit of PP there; Is it OK?
OOC: You could say that it was sort of PP when he didn't react to your last post whatsoever.... so ya... :-\
OOC: Oooh, sorry, didn't notice that bit in your last post. :P Yeah, it's fine.
BIC: Zuzucath screamed again as he was landed on by the squirrel. As she lunged at him, he twisted his body unnaturally as she sailed by, striking out with his claws. "KILL!"
OOC: Yeah. But jumping on him is a little extreme, so I figured I might want to ask if it was OK or needed to be changed. :P
BIC: The weasl twisted oddly, and she missed. When he struck out at her she bent backwards, bringing her sword up while doing that. She was very flexible.
Zuzucath grabbed at the sword's hilt, trying to wrest the weapon from her paws.
The weasel grabbed her sword hilt, and she straightened, and kicked, trying to hit him in the arm and break it. Only thing about was that unless she was fast in drawing it back, the enemy could grab her leg. And the fact that it made her off-balance.
Seeing the squirrel loose her balance, the weasel lunged forward at her, opening his mouth to bite her in the neck, just as his arm was cracked by her kick.
Arya shrieked as the weasel lunged forward, and she toppled overe backward. This thing thought dirty! And like nothing she'd fought before.
OOC: What about her kick?
OOC: Edited. Will he bite her?
OOC: Maybe. Read on and find out! ;D
BIC: Arya flung her arm up in front of her face, and screamed again, as the weasel bit her. In the hazer of pain she brought her other arm over, curling up her fist, hoping to punch him in the ear and then get him in a headlock.
Zuzucath chewed viciously at her arm until he got hit in the eye, which quickly swelled. "Kill, kill all! Death, squirrel die!" he screamed as he let go. He found himself in a headlock, and wriggled and squirmed.
Voxx quietly stood back, and nocked an arrow to his bow. Two. Three. Aiming directly for Zuzucath's neck, he let all three shafts fly.
Arya watched in shcok as three arrows zommed by her head, and she accidfentally loosed the headlock. He was squirming loose, anyways.
OOC: Your cue for Zuzucath to fleeee!
Zuzucath fell from Arya's grasp, narrowly being missed by one of Voxx's arrows. Scrambling away, he rushed off, sometimes on two paws, sometimes on all fours. "They all get die, will make all sceam death, yesss. Death to all, all squirrels die; all otters die!" He vowed. Then, turning around to face the direction of his enemies, he screamed in a primitive challenging. Still talking to himself, the crazed weasel ran off to lick his wounds.
OOC: Question, does anyone know my character is there talking to them?
OOC: Wut? No. . .
OOC: *sigh* My character just walked in on the fight a few posts ago. I just wanted to get in on the action.
OOC: Well, Zuzucath ran away; there are injured creatures you could help with.
OOC: Ok cool I apologize if I was intruding on something.
BIC: Jallek watched as the weasel scampered off an them revealed himself to the otters and said to Voxx, "What in oblivion was that?" pointing towards the direction the weasel ran.
Voxx shook his head. "I don't know... I just don't know. Frightening, though. So then, who're you?"
Donavin lay on the ground, breathing hard. Everything was going blurry, and weird. How could trees bend over backwards? And how was that bird flying upside-down?
Arya was at the moment jumping around, flinging her bitten arm around, and cussing enough to kill the ears of a rock. "?@><*^&%$#!!!!!_(+*&_&)^(%@)%^%&)&$::~!#@!!!! Mother of &*%@!! If I every get my paws around him again, he'll wish he was never born!!" She screeched, then tripped over the finely dressed otter, whom she'd forgotten about. She immediately saw that he was very sick from the dart slash, and more or less going to be sick for awhile. "I don't know who in the name of *&%@ you two are, and don't really care either, but I'd appreciate some help getting this beast somewhere he can get medical help. I may be a squirrel of Lady Garvina's, but that doesn't mean I'm about to sit around and watch as some creature lies there sick and needing help!" She snarled, then layed down she that she was staring at the otter's midsection, and started wiggling forward until he was on her head, intending to get him on her shoulders.
OOC: um Corn the dart wasn't deadly poison just makes you feel sick for a while.
OOC: Whoops! Sorry 'bout that. Fixed it; What do ya think?
OOC: Feverish and whatnot, yeah.
OOC: Lol
BIC: Jallek stretched out his paw to Voxx and replied, "Name's Sparra. Jallek Sparra. But you just call me cap'n. Pleasure to make your acquaintance."
Donavin was vaguely aware of a squirrel near him. He tried to say something, but then blacked out.
Garvina woke up slowly she was groggy and her head was still throbbing. She stayed where she was not moving her eyes tight shut. Why am I asleep in the middle of the day she thought
OOC: Just curious, but do you, Skarzs, and you, Abbot Half, remember and realize that Arya's over there, and just addressed you??
OOC: Zuzucath ran away. :P
OOC Oops.....Well, does ANYONE realize that?? C'mon, people!!
OOC: Not many people have posted, and my character is not one to help. . .
OOC Yeah...I know.....
Voxx stood, and furrowed his brow. " 'Ey, Squirrelmaid. Unhand him. 'E's not your king. An' also, he's a big otter. I doubt I could fully carry 'im- Trust me, on several occasions, I've had to try. An' besides- He's not going to die from that dart. Garvina, your queen- She was struck, too, an' she's not dead. Get your face out of the loam."
Arya stopped, reversed, then stood up and face Voxx. Then when he mentned Garvina, she shot over, forgetting her arm for the moment. "Where is she?!? Did you do anything to her?!?" She snarled, forgetting that the otter was at least twice as big as her, and uninjured.
Donavin groaned, and rolled onto his side. He though he saw Voxx, and some swirling shape. He wasn't too put out by this, it was a bit like being drunk, "What the hell happened?" He slurred, trying to get to his feet.
"Where is she? I'm not exactly sure. Last I saw her I tied her to a tree..." Noting the scowl on the squirrelmaid's face deepen, he finished his sentence hastily- Not wanting to have to hurt her. "At her bidding. She was struck by a dart- Tipped with the same venom Donavin is afflicted by- and high up in a tree."
Voxx offered a hand to Donavin. "You were shot with a dart. The crazy weasel, remember? The one with the bloody fur and torn clothing?"
OOC: Rachel, am I correct in assuming that most of what Donavin has done so far has involved being drunk? XD
OOC: He was stabbed with a poisoned shiv, not a dart. :P Same poison, different inflicting implement.
OOC: Was he? Right, let me edit that.

BIC: Zuzucath rolled around in a puddle, splashing and spluttering. He cursed and screamed at the now-devilish squirrels and otters. "Hurt Zuzucath! Zuzucath kill them all! All die! All otterrels and squotters, no, no! Otters and squirrels! Yesss, they all go dead, deadplop! Make 'em scream much, die slow! Kill 'em all!"
Arya growled, went over to Donavin and pushed him back down, so he was lying down again, and sat down, and started bandaging her arm, baring her teeth with pain.
OOC: Cornflower you already left Donavin, and ran over to confront Voxx.

BIC: Donavin groaned, and took Voxx's paw, "Remind me never to do anything like that again. This has to go on my list of stupid ideas I've had."

OOC: FYI guys Jallek is a MOUSE not a squirell.
BIC: "My queen?" puzzled Jallek, "Oi got no queen. But if your referring to the 'ather lovely Lady Garvina, ide say more of an acquaintance."
"Are you serious?" Arya exclaimed, glaring at Jallek. "Of COURSE she's my Queen. Do I or do I not look like a squirrel?" Arya asked, still glaring.
Voxx was beginning to be frustrated by this maiden. "Squirrel, keep a civil tongue in your head. I've been patient with you so far- don't aggravate me further- trust me, it can only end one way. For that matter, civil actions wouldn't hurt you either." Voxx once again helped to pull Donavin to his feet. Turning to Jallek, he inquired, "Who're you, then?"
Oh, shut it." Arya replied, glaring at this otter. He obviously didn't know her skill with a sword. She finished up bandaging her arm, then gave a gasp a of pain. Her leg was wanting to have an Episode.
"I've about had it with you, squirrel. I've no reason to put up with your snippy nonsense. I'm done being chivalrous." He drew his bow- full draw, with four arrows nocked. "Because I have no wish to hurt you, I'll give you ten seconds to hastily retreat. I shouldn't need to remind you that my family and yours are at war- and with you speaking and acting with immaturity and stupidity as you have, I've been generous insofar. Begone!"
OOC: Okay, that was really fun to wright.
Voxx said the wrong thing unknowningly. "My family? Look, buddie I don't have a family any more. I only accepted this job because it was either that, or not live to see next season. So don't you dare think that thisis my family. You don't know a single thing, alright? So just but out, before something happens that will be immensely painful. As it is, I'm already suicidal." Arya screeched at Voxx, then she turned and ran up a tree, which turned out to be a mistake. She fell down a moment later, writhing in pain and screaming her head off from the pain.
Jallek stepped back saying, "Er, sorry if I 'ave come at a bad time. I could, uh, come back later perhaps? Well! If it isn't Lord Donavin! Fancy seeing you 'ere! What's a peppered up noble like you doing in a scamp group as this?"
OOC: I may have or not said this in the character card for Jallek but he has a history with Donavin.
Voxx warily returned his bow to a half-draw. "I don't care what your relation to Garvina is- You serve under her, that is enough. Blood relation is not relevant. Oh, and if you're expecting sympathy or aid," Here he paused and shook his head. "You've already ruined that for yourself. Do you realize that the way you have acted here is absolutely unacceptable? Were Lord Donavin not half-conscious, I believe he would have already slain you. If you will not fight me, then I cannot fire upon you- But I will not speak to you either. Leave this place- There is nothing for you here. I last saw Garvina about half a mile up the path. Go to her." He turned on his heel, adressing Jallek. "Your timing is fine, mouse. I am Voxx, Second Captain to Lord Donavin, who I can guess that you have met. I'm also his cousin. Care to tell me your name?"
OOC: Dang. Cornflower, that reply was... Hard to reply to without sympathy. I don't know that I could have done that IRL. Even to an enemy who was kind of being a jerk. Not that you're a jerk- But your character seems kind of irritable, at least in this case. Voxx can be too... Not the best combo :P
Jallek tipped his hat and preformed a small bow and replied to Voxx, "Names Sparra, Jallek Sparra but call me cap'n Sparra."
OOC: I know....I planned ity that way! Heehee. ;D
BIC: Arya had been going up the tree when her last efforts to keep control of the pain in her leg had failed. Through the haze of pain, she remembered whitting the ground, but nothing more. She did not hear Voxx addressing her; Nor anything else. The pain heightened, and her body couldn't take it much longer.....Then merciful darkness.....For about five seconds. The pain had dragged her out of the faint, and then, it became a little more bearable. She quietly dragged herself out away from the other group, very slowly.
Donavin had remained silent during all this, when the mouse addressed him, he had tried to remember who he was. Then when he said his name Donavin smiled, "Cap'n Sparra, long time no see."
Then Donavin had left terribly dizzy, and had had to lean against a tree just to stay up right. He took three deep breaths, and tried to steady himself. He watched as the squirrelmaid dragged herself away, she was certainly a rag-tag little thing. If Garvina was having to hire such help as that, then she must be in trouble.
OOC: No offence, Donavin is just being mean.
Arya managed to get away from the ground, and she started trying to calm down and relax. This worked, and then she tried to stand, and succedded. She limped back through the clearing, going to the road, and payed no attention to the males. When she was clear, she broke into a trot. Hopefully they'd still be on the road.
Adlais was worried, the second group of otters had returned, without Donavin, and Voxx. They had explained that Voxx had sent them back, and had stayed behind to look for Donavin. This made Adlais even more worried. He wished he had that promotion now, so he could send out a search party to go find them, but he didn't. And the captain Donavin had left in charge, said to give them more time.
Garvina sat up suddenly in bed remembering what had happened Then held her head in her paws. What was in that dart she thought. She got out of bed but suddenly felt dizzy and had to sit back down.
Orvil was sat on the balcony of his private chambers, he was sipping a glass of ale. He sighed, and looked around, thinking. He highly doubted that Donavin would reply to his latest letter. He had to the last ten, and Orvil was sick of it. If Donavin wouldn't bother to write to him, then h would just have to go visit him. Anyway, it had been a long time since they'd last spoken face to face.
Arya kept limping determinedly towards the road, and when she got there, along the road. When the castle was in sight, and nobody on the road, she groaned. She was too late.
An otter guard mounted on the wall noticed a squirrel off in the distance, he shouted out, even though there was little chance of being heard, "What are you doing here?"
Arya had sharp ears, and very very faintly heard someone shouting, probably wanting to know what she, a squirrel, was doing here, in otter territory. "Looking for Lady Garvina!!" She shouted at the top of her lungs back at the shouter.
The guard couldn't hear what she had said, so shouted back, "What was that? Come closer?"
Jallek looked at Donavin with arms akimbo and sighed, "Poor sap, it y'all need some 'elp takin care of your lord Donavin, Oi got a hideout not far from this spot 'ere. Oi can at least lend a paw."
Donavin had over heard, and frowned, "I don't need looking after. I'm not a cub, I just need to get back the Castle Sydd, and I'll be fine."
Arya growled, and started walking forward. When she'd gone about thirty paces, she shouted again, "I'M LOOKING FOR LADY GARVINA!!!" Then she added more quietly, "Hear me that time, dumb tail?"
The guard heard, and smirked, "Well you can't see her! She's Lord Donavin's prisoner!"
"D'YOU THINK THAT'LL STOP ME?!?!?" She shouted, all the while walked forawrd. "What a dumb cluck." She muttered.
Zuzucath was now an even stranger sight. He was already covered in blood caked over with mud; now he had bound his wounds with dock leaves and lengths of vines. He watched with crazed eyes some foul meat that was roasting over a smokeless fire; his afternoon meal. The weasel mumbled to himself, still holding a deadly grudge against all otters and squirrels. "Make 'em all die, yesss. Nasty beasties, not as tasties. Time to die, when night comes by!"
The guard scowled, "I'm warning you missy. I'll shoot you with my bow with you dare come another step. Clear off!"
Arya knew he was serious, but she didn't particularly care. "Oh, just take ME as a prisoner, and that'll solve all our problems! You won't have to shoot me; I get to see Garvina, along with getting some rest!" She said loudly, as she was close enough not to shout by now.
"Forget it." Laughed the guard, "I'm not stupid. Your not just here to talk to Garvina. You want something, and your not getting it."
With that the guard loaded up his bow, and fired. He had aimed to just miss the squirrelmaid. A kind of warning shoot if you like, but if she didn't scarper after that, then he would kill her.
"If that's what you think, then you really are stupid." Arya called, then when the arrow shot over her head, she rolled her eyes.
"She just doesn't get the point." The guard said to himself, loading up his bow. He aimed for her shoulder, took aim, and fired.
OOC: Donavin's me are excellent shots, so Arya has a high chance of being hit. But if she is, then Arya could pretend to faint or something, then the otters would take her inside to care for her. You don't have to, its just a suggestion.
Arya sighed when she saw the guard loading up his bow again. Thump! The squirrel yelped in pain, the arrow had hit her shoulder, and she decided to "Faint" If it got her in there, all was well and good. If not, she had nothing to lose. She staggered back theatrically, and then fell down, as if in a faint. She sniggered to herself; If they fell for this, she;'d have to remember that the otters weren't exactly the smartest in the bunch. Now, if you shoot an arrow at someone who wants to go in, and that creature faints, almost too well, wouldn't that arouse suspicion?
OOC: She probably would have screamed or something. It is painful to be shot in the shoulder.
BIC: The guard looked down at the squirrelmaid, he wondered if he had accidently shot her in the heart. No, she would have gone straight down, instead of all that staggering. At least, he supposed she would have.
The guard swore, and then hurried down the wallsteps, and out the gate. If she was trying to trick him, by attacking him, it wouldn't work. She was at least wounded, and he was way bigger, and stronger than she was.
He walked up to her, and examined her, no the arrow hadn't hit her heart, it had gone straight into her shoulder. He poked at her with his bow, to see if she was pretending.
Arya felt something poking her a few moments later, and remained still. She'd retreated into a little spot in her head where pain, and things poking her, sidn't matter. Just listening to the rhythm of her breathing. In, out, in, out.
The guard swore, and bent down over the squirrelmaid, he then picked her up, over his shoulder, and headed back into the Castle. He'd just have to lock her up in the gatehouse, then remove the arrow. Once she was awake he'd have to take outside or something. The guard knew he'd have to tell someone in charge, he guessed they wouldn't be too angry, that he'd brought one of the enemy into the Castle.
OOC: your over run by the "enemy"
OOC: Whaaat?
OOC: Well currently there are like 6 of us there.
OOC: Well, the guard doesn't necessarily know that. ;)
OOC: Oh...
BIC: Arya felt him pick her up, and remained still.
The guard carried her through the gate, and into the gatehouse. He locked the door, and went over to the unconscious squirrel. "I better get a medical kit." He mused, and then left the gatehouse, locking it behind him.
Arya heard the door open, close, then something clicked, then she was set down, and she heard the gaurd mutter something. Then the door clicked, opened, closed, and clickrd again. She waited until he was five seconds away, then opened her eyes, and looked at the arrow in her shoulder while laying down. "Ouch." She muttered, then shut her eyes.
The guard returned, with a medical kit, and examined the wound closely, "Ok, I better remove the shaft first, I guess."
He muttered. He wasn't entirely sure what to do, but he had a basic idea.
OOC: Could we kind of skip to when he's done, I'm not really sure what to do. :P
OOC: Yes, please!
OOC: 'K
BIC: The guard looked at his handy work. The squirrel was all bandaged up nicely, and she hadn't awakened. That puzzled him, but never mind, she wasn't going anywhere.
OOC: Rusvul, Alf, could you guys please post. I want to use Donavin.
Voxx crossed his arms. "Well, if we've got that crazybeast out of the way- At least temporarily- I think we should be heading back. Sir, shall I assist you?" Glancing at Jallek, he continued. "You're welcome to come, if you've got nothing better to be doing. Though I'll have to warn you- Visitors aren't permitted to carry weapons inside the castle."
Arya had actually fallen asleep, and was just now waking up. "Hey, you're the otter who shot me." She said accusingly.
Donavin breathed deeply, trying to regain his balance. "Um, I think I'll alright. I'm juts a little dizzy that's all."

The guard spun around, sword drawn, "Yes, it was me." He smirked.
He was also glad he'd removed all the squirrelmaid's weapons while she slept.
OOC: Is that ok Corn?
OOC: Perfectly fine....But perhaps he didn't know about the dagger? ;)
BIC: Arya rolled her eyes. "Hey, am I or am I not harmless at the moment? Put that sword up, why don't you? You otters sure do know how to welcome a beast." She remarked, somewhat dryly.
The guard rolled his eyes, he couldn't be bothered. He unlocked the door, went out, then locked it again behind him, muttering something about how stupid squirrels were.
Arya sat up and took mental note: Her shoulder was bandaged, and all her weapons except for her dagger were gone. Perfect. Not.
Garvina stood again and walked over to the window. She was feeling a little better yet her head was still throbbing. She looked out but all she could see was forest and the grounds below.
OOC: Rusvul, could you please post more often. I can barely use Donavin!
OOC: Sorry. I'm not sure how to post at this time... Not sure what I'd say, really.
OOC: Well, do you just want to get back to the Castle then?
OOC: Yeah, maybe we've just sort of been walking? Like, directionally?
OOC: Yeah, ok. That sounds good.
OOC: When is night time?
OOC: Pretty soon I guess.
OOC: Forget nighttime; Where's Faiy?
OOC: I'm right here... Ok lets see Why don't we time jump. Donavin and most of his men are now back and it is almost sun set. How is that.
OOC: Perfect. >:D
BIC: Zuzucath looked at the sky. "Soon, soon, yesss. . ." he consoled himself. He looked over at the vast array of weapons he had accumulated. Picking up a spiked mace, he licked one of the sharp spikes. "Make 'em all die!"
OOC:L Great! So, um, should Arya still be locked in the gatehouse?

BIC: Garvina paced back and forth she was growing restless there was nothing to do and she felt trapped she need fresh air so she went over to the window and opened it a breeze came thew the bars and she took a deep breath.
OOC: Did you say Wheel On The Bus?!?!?! If you mention that infuriating, stupid, annoying, utterly CRAZY song again, I will make Zuzucath look sane compared to you. Do you understand? @Faiy: We tried to post at the same time! Anywho, alright!

BIC: Donavin lay in his king sized bed, staring at the ceiling. He was finding it hard to sleep, his whole leg had gone numb, and he felt sick. He rolled onto his side, and stared at the wall.

Adlais was also having trouble sleeping, mainly because he really wanted to know what happened next in his book, but there was also something else bugging him. He didn't know what, but there was.

Orvil was also in bed, fast asleep, his wife Violet was beside him. Orvil was trying to get all the sleep he could, he would up early tomorrow, starting his journey to Castle Sydd.
Garvina went back over to the bed and lay down. Even though her physical health was improving she was finding it exceedingly hard to think straight.
OOC: Physical and straight. Sorry, don't mean to nag.
@Rachy: Do I ned to chase you with a red hoty tea kettle? I will!
BIC: Arya was pacing back and forth, back and forth, back and forth, back and forth, back and forth. IT was eighteen steps to the door, eighteen back, then ten steps from side to side. She paced them both. Right now she was counting the diagonal, which was turning out to be twenty. How long were they going to imprision her here?
OOC: Zuzucath shall begin.
BIC: The crazy weasel ran quietly through the trees, hissing through his teeth as he breathed. He reached the walls of the otter castle for his first raid; tomorrow he would go to the squirrels' place. Clambering up a tree that grew near the wall, he sprang from a limb to barely catch the wall top and haul himself up. When he was up, he crouched down, looking around for guards. "Come to me, yesss. I will make you die much. . ."
Arya was now estimated how steps she'd taken pacing. She was thinking mabe one hundred and twenty one.
OOC: Ooooo, me like tea! ;D Dunking a biscuit into a cup of tea is the best thing ever, after hot chocolate with marshmallows, and cream in it! Also, Corn, what's your other character, Bryony, doing? Surly she must be freaking out that her sister isn't back yet. And I guess my guys would have sent two of Garvina's squirrels back to their own castle by now.
BIC: Donavin couldn't take it anymore, the silence, and pain was too much. It made him feel like he was in an infirmary, and he hated infirmaries, with a passion.
He sat up in bed, and then got out of bed, even though he had been told not to. He snuck out of his room, feeling dizzy, and his leg throbbing. He walked all the way down the hall until he came to the big window at the end. There was a chair sitting at a table in the corner, by the window, and Donavin pulled the chair over so he could look out the window. He liked this window, ever since he was a child, he had liked this window. And the view looking out over the forest just completed the picture.
Zuzucath peered to his left; there was a guard there, looking out into the forest. Sneaking up quietly, he slit the unsuspecting otter's throat, who let out a small gurgle. Lifting up the dead body, he shoved it over the wall.
Donavin was shocked to see someone on the wall. And the creature attacked the guard on the wall, Donavin jumped up, forgetting about his leg, and then fell over. On the floor he began shouting, "Guards! Intruder! Intruder! Intruder on the wall!"
When Zuzucath heard the shouting, he hissed in displeasure. Cursed otters and their infernal loyalty. He threw his knife at the wall guard that had been alerted by the cries, and stuck him in the leg. Running up to the injured otter, he caught him with a brutal blow to the face, knocking him down in front of the other guards. "Zuzucath here. . . Come to make yourselfs dies?"
OOC: Whoopsy doops! Forgot about Lady Bryony! Shame on me!
BIC: Bryony had been taking a nap when she heard knocking on the gate. She grumbled, and toddled out there. "Who is it?" SDhe called, then sneezed.
OOC: Could someone else play the two squirrels?
Garvina Sat up in bed when she heard the sound of shouts out side her door. She ran to the window and looked out she could see the dark shadow of the trees and the wall against the sky but nothing else. She ran to the door and listened.
The weasel hissed again; they had begun firing arrows at him. Ducking down, he crawled along the wall top, making sure he was not seen. Then he loaded his sling, and sent it flying into their midst as he hopped up.
OOC: I'll play them!
BIC: "They've captured her! They've captured Lady Garvina!" The hysterical squirrels screeched.

Adlais had been wakened by the shouts, and was now out with the entire garrison, looking for the intruder. Adlais saw him, and ran up towards him, but got hit by a slingstone in the head. It was only a glancing blow, but it was enough to knock him out cold.
Bryony had still been half-asleep when she'd asked who it was, but then she was wide awake. She flung open the dors, and screamed at them , "WHAT DO YOU MEAN, THEY'VE GOT GARVINA?!?!?!"
Zuzucath was now laughing maniacally, but was cut short by an arrow that struck him shallowly in the shoulder. Screaming, he backed up, falling backwards off the wall.
One of the squirrel's was almost crying, "They captured us, at the dam. They took us back to their castle, and they took Garvina away. they let us go, so we could tell you."

Donavin had got to his feet, and watched helpless from the window. He cheered in triumph as the weasel fell off the wall.
"What's Going on out there?" Garvina called threw the door.
There was no one to hear, because the guard had gone outside to help.
Bryony growled, then marched into the gatehouse, got her mace and axe. She stomped back out, and started to head out the gate, muttering under her breath.
"Milady! You can't go back on your own! We must get the men together!" The squirrels called after Bryony.
"Okay, you waste even more time getting the men together, and I'll go ahead and wait for you to show up." She called back over her shoulder, all the while walking.
Zuzucath ripped out the arrow; it only stuck in the skin. Hissing, spitting, and cursing, the weasel made one last attack on the otters that now looked down at him. Bringing the dart blower to his mouth, he sent off three at once, hitting one of the guards.
"Zuzucath come again; then, you die!"
The squirrels looked at each other, then hurried off to get the men together.

Through blurred vision, Adlais saw running feet, all around him, he could hear shouting, but it sounded distant, and muffled. Someone was kneeling next to him, waving a hand in front of his face, speaking to him. But Adlais couldn't understand.
Bryony kept marching and muttering to herself, kicking a rock. G?arvina just had to pull this right now! Just had to! Oh, well...This is what big sisters were for.

Arya had barricaded the door, and was stilol pacing, hoping that it would blow over quickly.
Adlais groaned, and felt himself being moved, he muttered something unintelligible, then blacked out again.
Zuzucath ran off, staunching the blood from his wound. He cursed at the murderous otters. Oh, he would be back, but only after terrifying the squirrels first.
Squirrels poured out of the squirrel castle, chasing after Bryony, all shouting angry war cries.
Bryony smacked her forehead with one paw. She turnedand started walking back up the road, reaching them in a short amount of time. "SHUT UP!!!" She screamed. They grew quite. "Fall in, and follow me!" She said, then turned and started walking again.
Adlais woke in a bed, a candle flickered on a table next to him. Someone was sitting on a chair next to him. "Wha happen?" Adlais muttered.
OOC: Hey, Corn; should Zuzucath have a bit of a run-in with your squirrels?
OOC:....Hmm, sure!
OOC: How long till morning do you think it is?
OOC: It was just sun set...
BIC: Garvina could hear the sound of shouts on the wall top. She knocked on the door and shouted again "What is happening?"
OOC: Ok.
BIC: A guard was running past her door, and he heard what she said, "Nothing to do with you, squirrel!" He growled, then ran off.

Donavin had hobbled his way downstairs, when he got downstairs, everyone in the room began fussing round him, and telling him he ought to be in bed.
Donavin swore at them, and told them to go get a life, then continued on his way outside.
Garvina sighed exasperated and sat with her back to the door. She was not the great leader she had shrived to be if only she had not been hit by that dart she would not be here now. Otters and there accursed arrows... It was that weasels fault...
Donavin was outside now, his aid Zeffa was at his side, helping him along.
Bryony kept marchiong, exasperated. Garvina was much better at this soprt of thing....Of course, they liked Garvina better than her, simply because Garvina knew whatr to do while she, Bryony, fumbled, trying to think.
Zuzucath stumbled along, muttering to himself and brooding over his retreat.
"I need to get out of here," Garvina said to her self. She stood and started looking around the room searching for something to help her escape.
Arya was relieved; The ruckus had calmed down. She decided to get some sleep, and layed down on the bed.

Bryony squinted, was that someone up ahead? She didn't care at the moment, and so decided not to say anything.
Donavin was helping sort basically everything, at that very moment, he was in the sick bay, going round with Zeffa. Donavin was the type of leader, who knew everyone single one of his men's name off by heart. He also knew everything about them, their likes, dislikes, their families, and so on.
That was why Donavin got so upset when he saw his men injured, and hurt.
Garvina had found a candle stick but what she really needed was something sharp. She undid her belt and using the buckle she started to pick the lock.
Adlais was properly awake now, and gingerly feeling the large lump on his head. "Ow."
Zuzucath kept on stumbling forward, until he noticed he was about thirty feet away from a group of squirrels. He hissed at them, drawing out a long thin dagger.
There was a click and the door came open. She Griped the candlestick and leaped out into the hall ready for a fight but it was empty. She was out but she still needed to get out of the castle and started down the hall keeping an ear out for any beast coming.
Adlais saw Lord Donavin limping around the sickbay, and smiled, even thought his head felt terrible. It showed what a good leader Donavin was, that he was here with his men.
Lady Bryony's eyes opened wide when she snapped out of Day-Dream Land, and noticed that there was a weasel about thirty feet from her, drawing a long, thin, nasty-looking dagger. "We mean peace, weasel." She said, while covertly signaling for her sling beasts to be ready to sling at a moment's notice with her paw behind her.
"Peace? Piece? Pieces. . . yesss. . ." Zuzucath said quietly. "Zuzucath make you little pieces. . . make you die!" He bounded toward them, dodging from side to side in his reckless lust for death.
Bryony yelled, "Slingers!" Then, after watching the rocks go over her head, yelled, "Slingers!" Again, so a second volley went over her head. Some of the stones were bound to hit the maniacal weasel, and she raised her mace, sticking her ax in her belt, ready for the weasel's attack.
Most of the stones missed Zuzucath, but some found their mark, hitting him on his shoulder, footpaw and ear. Screaming, he jumped and slid at Bryony, slicing at her.
Bryony sidestepped at the last possible second, and swung her mace at his figure. Since he was sliding, he couldn't very well change his direction very fast!
The weasel twisted and leaned backwards, narrowly being missed by the crushing mace. He kicked out at Bryony's feet, trying to knock her on the ground.
Bryony realized what the weasel was doing, and didn't act fast ebnough. She hit the ground, and then somehow got her ax out of her belt, and swung it and the mace and chain at the same time.
Zuzucath's dagger was knocked out of his paw when the mace wrapped around his forearm. Hauling back, he attempted to pull the weapon out of the squirrel's paw, all the while kicking at her face. "Deeeeeaaaaaaaaatttttthhhhhssssss!!"
Bryony screeched: Her beloved mace was being pulled out of her grip, and sahe was being kicked in the face. All good reasons to scream, no? She swung her ax again, aiming this time the weasel's leg.
Now it was Zuzucath's turn to scream as the steel edge of the axe gashed his leg. Kicking and swearing, he stood up, hitting out at the other squirrels to make a path out of their midst.
The squirrels parted,. then rushed over to Bryony. "I'm fine!" She snapped irritatedly, then grabbed her mace and chain, as int had fallen when she'd let go of it right before the weasel left. "Now, come on!" She said, somewhat calmer. She got up and continue marching, ignoring heir injuries.
Zuzucath ran, still cursing at all squirrels and otters.
Turning, he screamed at his hated enemies. "Zuzucath kill! Zuzucath kill you aaaallllllllllll!!"
Bryony rolled her eyes, listening to the threat. "Go ahead and try!!" She shouted back, without stopping.
Garvina hurried along pausing to listen before rounding corner and several times she had to hide in a doorway or behind a tapestry or had to back track to avoid people. She had closed the door to the room she had been locked in so even if they came back it would take awhile till they noticed she was gone. It was dark in the room and she had arranged the sheets so that it looked like she was sleeping.
OOC: sorry!! I've had finals. What happened? And Should I drop out if this RP?
Donavin was now back in the castle, sitting in his throne like chair, at the top of the huge dinning table. Zeffa sat to his side, and Dan sat on his other side. All his officers were also seated. "So...." Donavin began looking at everyone.
"How the hell did that weasel get inside then?"
OOC: You never really dropped in so you can just leave it the way it is if you are planing on leaving.
OOC: I'll just drop outta this one but if there is ever a sequel count me in
OOC: You sure?
OOC: Ya it's cool
OOC: Okay......It's too bad, really.
OOC: Aw, bye.
OOC: See you around, Abbot Alf!
BIC: Bryony kept marching, and saw the castle up ahead. She smiled grimly to herself; They'd better give up Garvina...Or else.
Some guards had been posted on the walls, just in case the weasel returned. They were the ones to sound the alarm that a load of squirrels were marching toward the castle. "LOAD YOU BOWS!" A Captain shouted, he wouldn't give the order to fire until Donavin said so, but at least he was ready.
Garvina had made her way to a storage room which let off into the courtyard the room was empty but the courtyard was not. She would just have to wait till the coast was clear.
Bryony noticed there was sentries up on the walls. She sighed, wondering if they could possible know if she was coming. Or maybe this had something to do with that strange weasel? She walked a little quicker.
"State your business!" The Captain shouted down to Bryony.
"I'm looking for Lady Garvina!" She called up to the walls, and then muttered under her breath, "And you'd better hand her over. If you don't, you're going to have opne seriously cheesed squirrel with her army outside your door."
"Well sorry. You can't see her. Now clear of, or I'll fire!"
The archers all aimed their bows at the assembled squirrels down below. Many of them were bound to die if they fired. There were no better archers in all the land.
From her place in the room Garvina heard The shouts. 'No, she didn't,' She thought despairingly. Just them a serving girl entered the storage room with a basket. "HEY YOU! what are you-?" Garvina didn't wait for her to finish she bolted out the door. She could hear her shouts from behind. But it didn't matter she was out in the open every one could see her. She knocked over and unsuspecting passerby. All she had to do was to get to the gate.
"STOP HER!" A guard shouted, and immediately everyone on the walltop turned, and began firing at Garvina.

Donavin heard shouting outside, "Zeffa, go see what all the noise is about." He instructed his aide.
Zeffa nodded, and went to see.
Garvina dodged the arrows like no one else could. Several cam very close and one tore her cloths. Three guards came at her on the grounds. And just as they where getting close she tore a sheet off the cloths line and it flew in there faces. She took off An arrow landed near her foot paw and another went over her head. duck and weave and dodge and keep the arrows at bay. She thought that was what her teacher had taught her when she was a little girl. The three had freed them selves and where coming in behind and two more where in her way. Just past those two and then the gate. She took up an arrow from the ground and using it as a weapon she flew at the two.
Just then, Zeffa came out, and saw Garvina about to attack two otters with an arrow. He took his own bow off his back, loaded it, and aimed. He had been trained by Donavin himself, it would take a miracle for him to miss at this range. He fired, straight at her leg, he didn't want to kill her, than would displease Lord Donavin.
Suddenly Garvina Felt and unearthly pain in her leg she buckled and fell painful to her knees. She looked up and with a anger and a fire in her eyes she forced her self up and went at the two with a vengeance the first one fell and she took the dagger in his belt.She limped a short way and turned back throwing it at the other one. She was at the gate. But there where others fast approaching. She opened the small door in the middle of the gate and closing it behind her she leaned against it heavily. There was was all her men with Byony at the head of them. The fools the brave and loyal fools.
Zeffa swore, he had hit he, but it hadn't been enough to take her down. "Get men on the walltops!" He shouted, "Don't let them leave!"
Otters ran up to the walltops, loading bows as they went, ready to fire.
Garvina started towards her sister as fast as she could. She was almost there when she stopped. She didn't even see it coming. She fell to the ground an arrow in her back.
OOC: Yes I just killed Garvina. But she is not dead dead yet could you wait for Corn to get on before moving one so that she has enough time to give a sad and touching farewell speech.
OOC: WHAT! WHAT! YOU KILLED HER!!!!! :o
OOC: A) The chances of death where very high. to get away with that was veering on GMing. B) Think of all the awesome repercussions. ;D
OOC: C) I'm guessing you have a plan.
OOC: D) Think of it as pay back for killing Zanga! ;D
OOC: E) I planned that for a long time, also it was so I could make Ushen. ::)
OOC: Ok I agree that this was a little rash. but like I said it was getting to the point that is was unbelievable. and also I looked at the direction the RP was going and I thought It would make thing a lot more interesting If I took it in this direction. Why don't we wrap this up and I'll make chapter two. it is a good place to stop.

BIC: Bryony had been giving orders, when she heard commotion from inside. She held up a paw, and turned. When she saw the gates open, she started to walk towards her little sister, a smile on her face. Then, Garvina was shot down. She froze in shock and horror. "No....." She whispered, as she ran over to her. IT felt like she was moving in slow motion. "No, no, no, NOOO!!!" She said, her voice raising from a whisper on each no, until she was screaming the last one. "Garvina...." She said, and then had to clear her throat. "Oh, Garvina...You just had to make a run for it, didn't you?" She asked, trying to smile.,
OOC: Um Corn she is not dead dead yet I wanted her to have some last words with her sister. and Yes I did think of that that was one of the reasons I did it,"
OOC: OOPS! Hold up, I fix!
"You just had to come for me..." She whispered Looking up in to her sisters eyes "Bryony... Please Promise... Promise me... to lead them. It... was not... Gretheg's... fault." And then she slipped away and her eyes closed.
She took Garvina's paw, " Yes, yes, I promise! Of course it's not Gretheg's fauolt...Just live!! Hold on! Just hold on, Garvina! Stay with me! Garvina? Please don't do this! You'll live, live to see your niece or nephew! Live, please!" Bryony said, then hung her head.
