So as the topic title says, this is a contest to test your creative skills to win a High Rhulain Hardback book.
the book

I Picked up my second copie of this book at a book store, since I can't help myself. And it has been just sitting on my shelf with it's twin.
So I've decided to host a contest, you must simply post a picture of you reading any Redwall book in a creative pleace.
Take the picture from a POV perspective, so your hand, the open book and a cool surrounding. It could be in the woods, on the beach or in a public library. I will be looking for creativity, effort and some thing to show your true Redwall love. I wish every one the best!
Contest ends April 30th, 2016.
Here is my try, also to give you'll the feel for what I'm talking about. And yes, this was in my back yard.

Please take note to ask your parents or legal guardian (if you are a minor) if it is okay to participate in this contest, for the book will be mailed to you. I promise not to abuse your address or any other information you entrust to me. I will anounce the winner here and then PM (personal message) them for mailing info. Also remember, I would be happy to mail it to your church, P.O. box or another intermediate if you are not comfortable with giving out your home address.

I already have the book, but I'll enter the contest as a "no-prize" contestant.
That's cool, happy to see what you come up with. :)
I wish you did this last year. I climbed the mountain near my town in september or something, and I even had a Redwall book in my bag. That would have been an amazing shot.
This is a really cool idea. Like Groddil, I'll participate for no prize, as I own a copy. What's the time frame in which you want the photos up?
Glad to see you guys stepping up to the challenge any how. Lets say by April 30th 8)
The High Rhulain book! That is one of those I've been longing to get my hands on and re-read. (Though I prefer the paperback one...)
Will definitely be entering, wot!
Top hole, old chap!
I'll probably try and enter this one!
i might enter same as banya and groddil, since i already own it too
I might do this just for the fun of it as I own a hard back of the book but this contest seems fun.
Lot of people own the book apparantly . . .
This is a Redwall forum. ;)
I give them that.
If it's Ok with my parents I might try. Since all the Redwall books we own I believe are Skarzs' it would be nice to have one of my own.
Very cool, I wish you the best!
Just a reminder for every one, entries due be the end of this month. :D
Weeeeell, I have my entry, finally (pushing the deadline, as usual with me). Maybe the deadline should be extended again for the others?
Anyway, I decided to try and get a good photo last night, and so I grabbed a Redwall book and took this.
My entry
Taken with an iPod, so excuse the somewhat poor quality. I'm sitting in a crabapple tree a few feet off the ground. The book is Triss.

Here is my entry, finally! Though I cannot seem to find any other nice opportunity to set a perfect scene...
Taken (aboard a bus) about less than two weeks ago when going home from a short out-of-town trip while reading
Salamandastron. Notice that hazy mountain on the background that vaguely reminds me of the great Mountain of Badger Rulers.

Those are really swell! Thank you for getting these in!
I like how your picture, Jukka, it seems real relaxed and a warm spring day. And cheers to the tree seat!
And the mountain is a great backdrop for Salamandastron, also since in that book the characters are often traveling, it is neat that it is represented in your entry!
I do plan on giving it another 8 days, which would put the new deadline on Mothers day. As an extra privilege for posting on time, you two may post more that one entry if you should so wish.
I can't believe it's the 8th today here!
So as a gratitude for letting us post more than one entry, here are three more entries of mine with two scenes. Photoshooting plus gif-making is always fun, isn't it? ( Because it's pretty boring with just one pose! XD )
Scene one is the beach (my favourite!), with me standing on the rock reading
Pearls of Lutra.

Scene two takes place at the park, this time with
Mossflower at hand.

I'm away at school and don't have any of my Redwall books :'( I'd love to post a picture later once the semester ends this month (That's okay if the competition is over by then - just want to take part in this for fun :D)

Sorry about that, I'm sure I'll host more in the future. That's great, I'd enjoy seeing what you come up with. Plus this gets you and others to dust off some of these classics and give them new memories.
I'm happy to announce that the winner of the High Rhulain book contest is.....Dotti Lovegood and her entry of the swan and the book Mossflower!
