So how is Freddy doing?

Not too well, I'm afraid. He just got back from a trip to Siberia where he found out that his beloved Uncle Festus had died of the plague. Aunt Olga had to sell their best cow to cover the funeral expenses. It's all very sad.

I'm just amazed they're able to survive in Siberia at all.  It's rather cold over there, or so I hear.

I'm sorry for his loss, though.  Is Aunt Olga safe from the plague?

She hasn't shown any symptoms, but she's quarantined herself in the outhouse just to be safe.
