How to remove a rootkit?

I believe my computer has a rootkit on it. Any ways I could get rid of it?

Erase the hard drive and reinstall Windows.

More seriously, though. This page seems informative. The #1 thing that you want to do is make sure that any software you get is from a reliable source. Don't just pick up the first app you see; look around a bit and get something that's recommended by people who are in the know, and always look at reviews from multiple sources before you install anything.

 So, checked this out, and I don't think I actually had a rootkit. Wouldn't be surprised if I had had one though, with all the scum my computer has gotten off the Internet....
