  It depends.  Does the bad guy have a purpose for being bad?  Do they want to achieve something that they think is good, but is, in reality, actually bad?  Do they have character growth at some point in their story?  Or are they simply amusing to read/watch/listen to?  If the bad guy falls under any of those, then yes, I do like to root for them (at times).  Otherwise, nah.

  I have been in the Machine before, yes.  I've applied to be in the Machine again, actually.  I liked it in there.  A little dark and kinda cramped, but it didn't smell all too terrible.

 TPBM likes it when the bad guy in a story is actually a three-dimensional character and shows growth throughout the story, not just staying exactly the same in their beliefs and stance for the entire book/show/game/film/whatever.
