ok this is what i think
i would add racoons as good and bad guys
mongeese would own!
a wildhog would be a mercenary like bane in mossflower but really short-tempered
chipmunks would be cool
ooo imagine a giant otter in the series! like the ones in south america i belive
i think stuff other than that would ruin the series

Who knows? Redwall was the first novel and he was just figuring out the series at that time. Maybe he meant to make that reference to humans. As it was the first novel, there are many differences from it to the rest of the series, but that's a whole different topic than what this topic is meant for.

im sure lots of animals we dont know about exist in the redwall world since mossflower only covers britain i belive
