Title: Castle Marl
Post by: Groddil on January 18, 2016, 03:27:59 AM
Does anyone know why Castle Marl (from Marlfox) has no stairs? Its mentioned quite a bit that they have only ramps, which is apparently a big deal. Why?

Maybe Jacques thought ramps were more intimidating. ;D

No, but I think it's because the Water Rats were always carrying Silth around on that carriage thing. You can't really do that with stairs.

Hmm, you could but it would be bumpy. Her majesty wouldn't like that.

Knowing the rats, they'd all trip over the stairs and Her Magesty would throw 'em all in the teeth place.
Then she'd be alone forever.

I'm pretty sure it was because of the queen that they were always carrying around. Moving large things on stairs are hard because of the angle and the weight shift, so if they had stairs there, Silth would always be at about a 45 degree angle in her carriage thing and I am sure she woudln't want that, but if te ramps were gently sloping it would be much better of a ride.

Well, the explanation makes sense if one remembers how picky the queen was. . . I didn't remember the lack of stairs.
