I've noticed that in a some books, some creatures get a certain instrument. The most used one is the harecordian, and another being a volalin. I always liked the creativity BJ put into these small detail. What do you think about the instruments, and which one is your favorite?
My favorite is the flute ;D
But yes, I like the instruments. They add more to the Redwall world. They add more potential for music! More variety, more color.
I also like that instruments get associated with certain beasts. I believe squirrels were the ones who played flutes most often.
The hedgehog instrument thing never really made sense to me. . . I mean, they have so many quills, rubbing on their head wouldn't do much in the way of music. :P
