I' personally have always wondered what happened to those islands....it doesn't really say! so, basically, who thinks what happened to them?? i personally think that they just continued until they sorta died off! you know, peacefully, then they just got smaller and smaller and smal, well, you get the picture!!
and also sorry for saying theres only 1 island in Triss......both islands included!! and i reset vote count-I thought someone might want to change their vote...Sorry if inconvenienced!!!! :)
I think they kept going. I mean, there's no further mention of them really, but I think that there are still creatures there. :) Though I do get your point about the lizards- they were nasty. Maybe they all ate each other...
I agree with you there Kit. They are probably never mentioned again just because...Well...they weren't mentioned!
At least with the lizards I think they ate each other killed each other off.

I think that they just kept going without mention, like many other things from the redwall books.
I think Peace Island kept going...It was very organized, so I doubt they would just die out.
ya I would say that for Ruddering too I am making a fan fiction in which the island did so well that it became over populated and some otters had to leave. My story is about their children.

Maybe...you know, this seems like an interesting subject to wright a Fan Fiction on. Like, some villain comes to, per say, that island in Marlfox were the, er, Marlfoxes lived at and recruits all the creatures there to help him to invade Redwall or something...It would make a good story.
I think that on sampetra some corsair captain heard an old legend about how the ruler of it is lord of all sea-vermin, so he went and tried to conquer it.

That's what happened to Port Royal! But it didn't sink, it was just destroyed. Anyway, I think they just kept on going without mention. I don't see any reason why they would have to die out. Just because they didn't affect Redwall and weren't written about in the following books doesn't mean they didn't keep existing. Maybe Brian Jacques was planning to write more about these islands

On Sampetra, I imagine a vermin ship would've gone there and found the survivors. It sounds like vermin ships sailed there often, and there's no way every ship was burnt at once.
On the island in Triss... they probably jut kept on going. Maybe people from Redwall even visited occasionally.
Ruddaring would be same as Triss I believe.
