Meat's been mentioned a few times so thought it wouldn't hurt to ask which are people's faves! Unless you're a veggie, in which case ignore this or put 'other'. :)
Do you like fish?
Also has anyone ever tried anything like kangaroo meat?
I personally love roast lamb! :D
Lamb for me
Ah've tried alligator before. It tazte a bit like butterfly zhrimp an' fried chicken.
My favorite is beef. I also like chicken quite a bit, and some fish. Pork I'm not a huge fan of, but I don't refuse it.
The only somewhat-unusual things I've had are venison (though that's not all that uncommon) and bear.

Vell, ve'll juzt
bear viz ye zen!
I like lamb and since I'm a Messianic that's a good thing because some of our feasts have to be lamb ;D
I voted "other" Because my favorite meat is ostrich meat though I haven't had much of it.
I'd have to say beef on this one.
And I listed once all the kinds of meats I had before, let me dig it up....
Here it is:
horse
beef
veil
venison
pork
boar
bison
lamb
chicken
duck
rabbit
moose
guinea hen
partridge
frog
And I just had some ostrich terrine the other day, and it's quite tasty!
Also had bison and rabbit terrine at the same time. Meat is so great! ;D
A few of you have had the not-so-ordinary meats then! I'm just not adventurous enough with food. However, if I was offered to try alligator or kangaroo or something I would be brave and try a bit. I just have a little thing about eating the meat of non-farm animals. I don't think I've even tried rabbit and it took me till a few years ago to start being okay with duck. :D A new meat for me this year was goose.
As to fish, I'm not keen on eating it when it is basically still a fish! Prefer my fish breaded and battered. Is a little creepy seeing the eye on a plate!

Those are probably most of the ones I've eaten
Froggie legs! mm, taste good with salt, looks like chicken, tastes like fish, texture is a mix, i rhymed :D
Also someday i wanna eat dog, (the do it china, and you ate horse!)
Oh...bison over an open barbecue. Mmmm! I only had it a couple of times though... :P
The weirdest thing I ever ate was dear right after we watched the move Bambi and then dad didn't tell us that was what we were eating till we had half finished it... :P
Did you stop eating it?
Almost did. ;D But I finished it. If I had not just watched that movie then I probably would have liked it. I would eat it again if I could.
It's a bit mean not telling you what meat you're eating! I've had that happen before.
In the UK a few months ago there were a series of incidents where horse meat was being sold with some food products, but was labelled as beef. So perhaps I have tried a bit of horse without realising! :D
Mine are chicken and beef but I voted for chicken
I am the only person who liked pork... :-\
Raw/undercooked fish.
If we have a fillet of fish to cook, invariably I eat half of it raw beforehand. Almost like Gollum in that scene eating the fish by the pond.

As soon as i read the first line I though of that seen even before I read what you said about it.
I'm trying to get a part time job as a butcher... and there's your tie in. That's it.

Ummm... My favorite meats are steak (fillet mignon, medium rare) and good ol' bacon. However.... I'm currently vegetarian.

I like pork! I just prefer a few other meats.
Rusvul, how come you're currently vegetarian? I do feel at times I should eat a bit less (but never none!) meat but I'm not really in the position to make such choices at the moment.
Yum, steak....... I used to always have it well done because I don't like meat still being pink and bloody; however now I have it between medium and well done as I realised a lot of the succulent taste leaves the steak once you've cooked it too much and so it's not so yummy to eat. I can now cope with a -little- pinkness on meat.
In a similar way, I couldn't eat fish 'raw' as Curunen does and I don't like the idea of sushi!
My main reason for vegetarianism is that I don't want to be eaten, and I think it's only fair that I not inflict that on other creatures.

That's how nature works. A wolf doesnt wanna get eaten, but it must eat. Also, since we're omnivores, it's almost neccasary to our survival. Eating meat can even add a few years, with that protein!

As omnivores, and intelligent ones, it's our choice of whether or not we want to eat meat. A wolf has no choice, as meat is the only thing it's ever eaten and the only thing it can digest. A wolf has a place on the food chain, humans pretty much don't. You can get protein from other foods, like beans. I don't have a problem with other people eating meat, but I don't care to. If you can eat meat, and think about what it is, while it's in your mouth, and be okay with it, then by all means. I found that I couldn't, so, I don't :P Please don't take this the wrong way, I in no way mean to offend anybody who does eat meat (Most of the human population), I am just voicing my personal opinion.

True true...
My favourate type of meat is bacon. I also like pork. Its obviouse that Porky Pig is one of my favourates. ;D

Not all Christians don't eat pork. Some believe it is absolutely wrong while others think it is good.

*High Fives back*
Beef, chicken and pork head the list. I've had venison, bison and rabbit. Since I've become an amateur naturalist, I can't eat some meats anymore. Some are too like pets: squirrel, quail, turtle, goose. Maybe if I were faced with starvation. [Which would take quite a while for a fatty like me. Ha-ha!]
