Does anyone here play it? I haven't really played it for a while, but I recently got back into it after the Orcs and Goblins update came out with the Grom the Paunch dlc.
yo
@Thanquol Skaven name right? I'm doing a Imrik campaign right now after that I'll probably do a Skarsnik campaign

Yep! It's the name of Gotrek and Felix's archenemy, who is most likely going to show up in game 3.
I've been hearing that Imrik is pretty fun. As for Skarsnik, his campaign has to be the hardest in the game.
I haven't played. I think I've heard of it, though.

Both of the games are pretty good, especially the second one. One of the only real problems with it is that you have to own both games to play the Mortal Empires campaign.
Ah. Gotcha. Is it a video or table top game, btw?

It's a video game adaption of the tabletop Warhammer Fantasy.
so to update Imrik is very fun, especially getting elite dragons as regiments of renown. the problem is you have to fight a war on two fronts and be very proactive with it, however I eliminated deathmaster sniktch by turn 11 so Imrik can basically ambush any lord on his dragon now which I find hilarious. and yes Skarsnik is the hardest campaign in the game. but the overhaul to the greenskins have made things more bearable.
Recently, I did pretty good as Skarsnik. The campaign was tough and required many do-overs, but I finally managed to beat Belegar and retake Karak Eight Peaks. The way to win as Skarsnik is just remain in your starting area and farm rebel armies for scrap and money. Well, that and getting some River Troll Hags.
Now CA just needs to fix Warriors of Chaos and Beast men, though I'm fairly certain we're going to have to wait for 3 to come out, given that Chaos is a pretty big part of it.
sounds reasonable when I played I spammed night goblins and nasty Skulkers to compete with the dwarves.
The new troll units are helpful, too. They have better leadership than the normal ones, and they each have some pretty good abilities. River trolls can debuff enemies and fight better in water, while the stone ones are tougher and have some magic resistance. And the river troll hag has to be the best caster unit in the game.
the Greenskins have needed a good caster for quite some time, now the Dwarfs need a little adjustment.
Luckily, the next dlc it going to fix. I've seen some people say its going to be Dwarf vs Skaven, with Throt being the Skaven Lord, though I don't really think that's the case. I expect the next dlc to be Dwarf vs Vampire Counts, with Clan Moulder being a pre-order bonus for 3 since they have their own army roster.
I play historical based total war titles, but not warhammer. iirc there was a tw thread around here somewhere
I know CA is making a Troy game, but I doubt we're ever going to see anything like Rome or Medieval, or at least not for a while. Currently, Warhammer is the breadwinner, and due it's success, they are most likely going to move on to another fantasy setting after the trilogy has been completed.
The cinematic trailer for Warhammer 3 just got released, as well as info about it. The trailer featured Kislev and Daemons of Chaos. Not only that, it also had a big surprise at the end: Cathay is going to be one of the factions!
I hope CA focus' more on their historical titles after this

If CA decides to make a historical game, it's not going to happen for a while. Warhammer 3 is going to have a dlc cycle that'll last for a few years. That, and CA might be making more games like Three Kingdoms.
DLC's would be made by the same team, CA has multiple ones. According to the release pattern they've been following, (fantasy, saga, historical, ect) we're due for one soon. Melkor has talked a bit about it recently and made some interesting points, some pretty solid theories out there
Really fun game. Been playing a lot of it, super fun. Mortal Empires is incredibly enjoyable.
I'm looking forward to how they show the End Times units. Things like Morghast Archai and Harbingers would be fun.
@Kolman How did you defeat Snikch?
@Tungro Trailer for Total War: ROME REMASTERED came out. It will be released on the 29th of April this year.

I can definitely see stuff like Morghasts getting added in. They'll probably be introduced with a Nagash dlc. Speaking of Undead, Vampire Counts might be getting Neferata soon.
A unit I kind of want to see in the 3 is Stormfieds. Though it's probably not likely since Skaven already have one of the best rosters, which is only going to get better when we get Thanquol and the Verminlords.

@Lady Ashenwyte I have actually already pre-ordered it XD
I watched Melkor's live stream and it looks completely phenomenal, so many new features but still the same good ol' total war. I am very excited to play it, it also gives me high hopes on future historical titles

I doubt they'll leave Stormfiends out since they're such a distinctive unit, will be nice to see them on the screen!
@Lady Ashenwytein my knights of Caledor playthrough I focused on Snickitch. this was pre the greenskins update so Grimgor didn't come down to ruin my day, and the Dawi reigned supreme in the worlds edge moutain
On a Dawi playthrough Snickitch was no end of trouble for me
I had to sacrifice 8 armies to grind him down
