okay, so i was reading my copy of,"The Bellmaker", by Brian Jacques, when a new character appears in the chapter i'm reading! he's an otter and his name is,"Finnbarr Galedeep"! And what an amazing character! the dude wears an EYEPATCh for cripes-sake so it doesn't get anymore awesome than that! also, he wields not one, but TWO enormous cutlasses! (trust me. i think even martin the warrior would fear this guy) not to mention the fact that he's got a big,ugly scar on his forehead and his shoulder is covered in some tattoos!
I know! He's freaking awesome! He's like my favorite otter EVER! If you like pirates like that, you should seriously think about reading Pearls of Lutra, because in that book there's also two pirates (OK, I know they're vermin, but still), Romsca, a ferret, and Barranca, a stoat, who IMO are at least as awesome 8)
i heard that book has treasure hunts! it sorta reminds me of doomwyte....similar plot.

Frunk was just plain crazy. Here's why: he kills vermin because they killed his daughter. That sound okay at first because vermin are usually bad, but here's the opposite scenario: Random Fox 1's daughter wanders into a camp of otters, armed with a dagger. Seeing her as a threat, the otters kill her. (I know, different circumstances, the corsairs were just cruel, but the otters in this case had a sort of a just cause. But the fox didn't know any different!) That being said, say Random Fox 1 goes as crazy as Frunk and starts murdering goodbeasts for no reason other than that a handful of goodbeasts killed his daughter. Of course that's wrong. Does that make it acceptable just because Frunk is on the "good" side?

I don't know, but he's just not one of my favorite characters, but Barranca is!!!
Your analogy lacks all truth because you forgot something, Frunks daughter didn't wander into a vermin camp, and was un-armed. Imagine being Frunk, who wouldn't go insane? You can't truly hold it against him since it wasn't even his normal self.
