Not sure. Apparently there's no current way for James to edit someone's post and make it anonymous. I believe that's why he tried to edit my first post in this topic but without making any changes. :P

The question being that James edited this post, but did he originally post it? And if not why would he edit it? And then why would he then respond to himself?

This thread was made for a serious reason, to test the functionality of the Anonymous posting mod. I don't take kindly to people insinuating my keeping it useful for that purpose is "stupid".

Yeesh, I was just playing. :P It wasn't even a rule anyway that we had to post here anonymously, and my not posting anonymously allowed you to test whether you could change a post from normal to anonymous.

Is there really a way to tell who makes Anonymous posts?
Unfortunately. It's a bug. I mentioned it to the mod author, so hopefully it'll be fixed soon.
When you click on the diamond to the left of the board's name, it displays a list of unread topics; the last poster can be found there, regardless of whether you have the permission to view anonymous posters or not.
