I think LOTR is one of the best movie series of all time. I adore all three, but Return of the King does have too many rousing speeches and the ending lasts 30 minutes (or at least it feels that way). Also, while I like The Battle at Minas Tirith, the last battle is boring. But the characters are great, it's satisfying and does have many amazing moments.
