I have a poem which isnt really redwally but i made it for a freind whos dad died i made it a while ago and trying to remeber it from memory.

A day can happen for anyone
one person can sing and one hum
your world can change in a blin of an eye
like wining the lottery which makes you cry

A day cna happen for anyone
one person will dance and one hum
your wourld can change in the blink of an eye
like a person being hit by a bus nearby

A day can happen for anyone
yours will come someday
so just hope and hum!
Fun. is a fantastic band.

So many sad songs  :'(
We need a happy song ;D

A Happy Song

There is something I need to call,

If ever you’re depressed,

I’ll sing to one and all.

If ever you’re stressed.

Whoopdedoo, Walahoo!

You can’t be sad,

Put a smile on your face,

Now you be glad,

In merrymaking, I’m an ace!

Whoopdedoo, Walahoo!

Forget about death,

Somersault around the room,

Sing 'till you're out of breath,

Let’s make things go boom!

Whoopdedoo, Walahoo!

  Song of...

  Sing a song of hope
 Sing a song of peace
 Sing a song of joy
 And sadness will cease!

When the wind blows,
The leaves rustle.
A soft noise.
Relax your soul. . .
Forget all your earthly problems. . .
Peace. . .

  Cats in the Rain

There once was a lovely story
 Of cats in the rain.
They hopped and skipped and ran around
 But they weren't completely sane.

Let's sip more October ale mates, let's sip until we drop,

Let's feast for all the night, until our abbot says stop

I'll pass a cream pie, and you'll pass me some bread

If I couldn't dine in Redwall, it would be quite a dread

If you wanna win a contest make your poems longer, like a Narrative poem. One that tells a story. Ever read "The Walrus and The Carpenter"? That is a Narrative poem.

MatthiasMan, some short, nonsense poems are great. And I never really liked The Walrus and The Carpenter.

I'll chose a winning poem, a winning song, and honorable mentions, but remember, this is my opinion, so if I don't chose your song/poem to be a winner, that doesn't mean it isn't good. Once thirty songs are posted I'll choose the winners. I won't use my own.

Winners of the first thirty songs:

Best poem: Rainshadow’s Sing a Song of Hope poem

Best song: MatthiasMan’s Emerald Hury

Honorable mentions: Flandor's poem, Rainshadow’s battle song, Redwallgurl’s poem, MatthiasMan’s When the Wind Blows

Please name your works from now on.

Well since you started the topic obviously you'll judge. 8) And just saying, the longer the better. :)

Called Redwall Abbey/Madam Gabby (To the tune of Call Me Maybe, By Carly Rae Jespen)

I threw a coin to a star,
Don't ask, it wasn't that far,
I weaved fire to the sea,
And now it's burning through.
I cut a memory away,
Of a bad horrible day,
I fell into the sky,
And now I'm freezing through.
My vision broke down, And I fell to the ground.
All I heard was gone now. Where ya think I was now, lady?

Hey I just woke up,
In an infirmary,
Inside a red place,
Called Redwall Abbey.
And all the mice of them,
Were staring aaat me,
Inside a red place,
Called Redwall Abbey.
Hey I just woke up,
In an infirmary,
Inside a red place,
Called Redwall Abbey.
And a pretty squirrel,
Named Madam Gaaaabby,
Lived inside a red place,
Called Redwall Abbey.

I fell in love with the place,
Walked around without a trace,
Bumped into Madam Gabby,
But walked away right an' true,
I got to know her just well,
Nice and not under a spell,
I fell for her and her face,
But walked away right an' true.
Hot sun was shining, I and her were dining,
But I fell into dying'. Where ya think you're going' lady?

Hey I just woke up,
In an infirmary,
Inside a red place,
Called Redwall Abbey.
And all the mice of them,
Were staring aaat me,
Inside a red place,
Called Redwall Abbey.
Hey I just woke up,
In an infirmary,
Inside a red place,
Called Redwall Abbey.
And a pretty squirrel,
Named Madam Gaaaabby,
Lived inside a red place,
Called Redwall Abbey.

Wow, I can't write as nearly good poetry as you MatthiasMan.. Great job

Nightfire

I wrote a poem in memory of Brian Jacques. It's also kinda a riddle. I wrote it in the style of Redwall.

"Sometimes early, sometimes late,
Sometimes no one knows my fate.
I can be red, white, or blue,
And I am always faithful and true.
Glorious, yet painful,
Sweet, yet harmful,
I can prick the toughest of paws,
Make strong creatures whimper, that's my law.
Yet all love me, despite my ways,
Though sometimes it is a passing craze.
I am sharp and soft, I am small,
I cannot be invisible at all.
So, bold one, tell me why
I can outshine even the sky."

Maybe I'll add best riddle to the scoring board. And I may ask someone to help me judge as long as they choose the songs they like, regardless of the author and not taking into account theirs.

Dancy Song

Shake your spikes,

Twitch those whiskers,

Thump your tail, 'pon the floor!

Wrestle the pikes,

Already you have blisters?

Wow, you must be sore.

(Faster and louder)

Sooooo,

Dance around,

Put shame to all,

Jig to any sound,

'Till your spawled.

Dance!

Just a quick one.
