I just checked out The Redwall Kitchen, made my mouth WATER! :P :P ;D ;D ;)
I have the cookbook. Best thing EVER!!!!
Are you referring to this Redwall kitchen (http://www.redwall.net/kitchen/)?
It's definitely interesting to see real recipes patterned after Redwall courses. I've always liked the ditchnettle pepper/hotroot soup, and since it has such simple known ingredients, it should be relatively easy to reproduce in real life.
Ever hear of Otter Rockcreams? Heeheehee ;D

They're delicious... everybody should try 'em. XD
Thanks for the link, I'd never seen that before!
Deep n' ever pie sounds incredible. I have a friend who had a redwall feast. It was wonderful. I think I'll try to make the Otter Hotroot soup at some point. I love spice
you guys have just GOT to try strawberry scones...I've made then like...3 times for me family and everyone ab-so-flippin'-loot-ly loves them :D
Ah tried the zconez. Deliciouz!

wow, never heard of those!
Oh my goodness, eggnog scones are the most delicious thing on the planet! Next to Redwall fare, of course. I know they're a seasonal item at a store called World Market, 'fraid I don't know any other times or places to find them.
Now, strawberry scones... I must try these! Must, must, must...!
I think I've lost it.
I've seen and read through this thread, viewed the link, and never did it occur to me to actually try any of these recipes...
How did I miss that objective?
LOL ToR. :D Well, now you know you can go make some strawberry scones! Because I love having multiple guinea pigs to try recipes before me. >:3
I made myself shrimp and hotroot soup last night. I didn't use any recipe, I just pulled ideas from the recipes on the Redwall Kitchen. I put in heaps of pepper and chili pepper, along with onions, potatoes and of course shrimp. I also put in a clove of garlic but that flavour was lost because I put in so much pepper. :D It was deliciously spicey. I will definitely make it again.
Mmmm, I love spicy things, so I've always wanted to try hotroot soup.

That sounds like a good meal...I'll make myself some sometime this week maybe.
Me, too.
I'm reading Mossflower
I am going to start Loamhedge today. Today's library day!
Let's stay on topic, please. ;)
Sorry!
Burp! Too much October Ale!
Excuse you.
ah made a feast wid all this food
While surfing the web earlier today, I found this website.
http://www.redwall.net/kitchen/index.html (http://www.redwall.net/kitchen/index.html)
I am as curious as Curious George the Monkey, so I just had to click on the link. Inside the other links were recipes for desserts, main courses, beverages, and other miscellaneous food items. Being a big fan of food, I can't wait to try some of these recipes. They even have a Great Hall Cake, and the otters' famous Watershrimp and Hotroot Soup!
I will probably be posting some of the pics of the food that I have made.
Yay I love that website! We've made a few recipes from there.
I love that website! I also have the Redwall cookbook but that site is a wonderful substitute for people who may not be able to get the cookbook!!
I keep making Redwall food from the site and the book both at family gatherings and on special occasions and I have yet to come across a recipe I didn't like. Plus, I'm converting my family into Redwall food lovers. :D
I can't wait to see the pictures!
Awesome! I love to cook, and I can't wait to try out some of those recipes!
I'm gonna try making Turnip'n'tater'n'beetroot pie tomorrow.
Worth noting, these are reader-created recipes. For the Brian Jacques-endorsed ones, you're going to want to pickup The Redwall Cookbook.

Many of these are from
The Redwall Cookbook, but were posted on that site for people that don't have the book, but still want to make the recipes.

No they're not. The site hasn't been updated since 2004, which was prior to the publication of the Cookbook. And as someone who in fact owns the Cookbook, I can assure you none of these are the recipes in it.
Second, it would be 100% illegal and copyright infringement to post the actual recipes from the book online. The whole purpose of the Redwall Cookbook is if you want the official recipes, you buy the book. I would think everyone here is a supporter of Brian Jacques, and interested in ensuring his legal estate/group, as well as his publisher, receives funds for his work. It sells for $17.99 on Amazon, which is less than 3 hours work if you earn minimum wage in the United States. I think most can afford that, especially if you've made a donation that amount or higher to the Redwall game Kickstarter.
I just madied candied pecans! they are great!!! ;D

Some do but there are some recipes that are non-alchoholic.
