Pardon me if I posted this thread in the wrong topic, feel free to move it wherever you want to, as I am still getting used to this Forum.

I have decided to write a fanfiction story on my free time.  This may not seem like a big deal, but I would like all of you to contribute to it with characters, ideas, setting, and such.  I don't want this story to be just any fanfiction written by one person, (or beast) I want it to be a story that has been doctored by the whole community, a story that all of us could call their own.  If you want to help with this fanfic, whether it be immensely or little, I would be grateful, and you can be one of those who can be able to say that they helped with the creation of this fanfic.

As I know that most of you are Redwall buffs, and know a lot more than I will probably ever come to know about Redwall, I would be nice if some of you could come up with a list of:

I want this fanfic to be unique, and different, but with a lot of reference to BJ's books.  After reading about Axtel Sturmclaw in The Sable Quean, I wondered why that Brian hadn't made any warrior moles before?  And after I read Outcast of Redwall, I wondered why all ferrets, stoats, foxes, and weasels had to be bad, and why all mice, shrews, (with the exception of Fenno in Marlfox) otters, badgers, and squirrels had to be good.  The latter two didn't really affect me that much, but still, I wondering about a warrior mole or vole has always stuck in my mind.

I will be writing a test copy, rough draft thingy over the next few days, so I may not be on the forums as often.

If any of you want to contribute in any way, characters, themes, settings, conflicts, and such, please post.

PS: Thank you for reading this.  ;D?

I think it sounds like a wonderful idea. Welcome to the forum, by the way.
A day may come when the courage of men fails, when we forsake our friends and break all bonds of fellowship, but it is not this day. An hour of woes and shattered shields, when the age of men comes crashing down! But it is not this day! This day we fight!

Hmm.. This proves to be very useful. Thanks for sharing! I love the mole speech!

Wish there was a way to favorite a topic without having to put it in my bookmarks..
""...Nobody outsmarts Cluny. I've won, and you have both lost." The Foxes clasped their claws. They knelt, whimpering pitifully. Cluny stood over them, enjoying his power as judge..."Take these miserable turncoats out of my sight..." Shrieking and screaming for mercy, the foxes were dragged away..."

I remember reading an interview with Brian Jaques.  The reported asked him point-blank why all vermin were evil and why all woodlanders were good.  His answer was quite simple, BJ said his target audience did not have the mental sophistication to understand grey characters.

His answer confused me a bit as I could name a few vermin that were good, and also a few woodlanders that acted in a less than honorable manner.

So there's your answer as to the absolute regarding character natures.  I do believe this is why so many fan fiction writers enjoy having either a grey character or one that is contrary to the canon of the series.
