PM Captain Tammo to claim
CLOSING CEREMONIESWith Boss Hayes vanquished, the mods and admins were able to restore the Extravaganza grounds to their former glory, plus some! As members drew in, some licking their wounds from battle and others grinning from ear to ear at their names on the scoreboard, Captain Tammo took the stage to start drawing the Extravaganza to a close.
Friends, it has been a weird month and a half, but it's finally time to bring out festival to a close. Not by abandoning it, nor by forum takeover by a terrifying rattlesnake, but by a good ole fashioned party! Congratulations to our winners and participants, you've earned yourselves some fun prizes as well as (hopefully) a few fond memories on the forum.
Now, I call upon you, our members, our participants from the past and present, our friends, to assemble sometime in the future and once again hold an Extravagant event for each other to enjoy. The environment may have changed by then - ideally not from a giant rattlesnake nor death defying beavers - and there may be some new faces who have come and old faces which have gone. But I hope that, together, we can all enjoy ourselves in this community that a certain author has put together. Thanks, everybody, let's bring this event to a close!@Booklover , will you please put out the ceremonial flame and officially close the Summer Games Extravaganza? :D

Booklover ceremoniously walked up to the great flame that had been kept burning all through the Extravaganza. "I officially announce this Extravaganza ended, though may there be many more in the future!" She announced as she extinguished it.
Teer cheered with everybeast else, then, unable to restrain herself, she ran up and hugged Booklover, careful not to squeeze her friend too hard.
"Good work, Book! Let's go find some food to celebrate."
Was fun for the short time I was alive
You're alive Tungro! We need you!
I'm actually surprised I placed as high as I did. There might be something wrong with my total
(OOC:) I'm not surprised. You did well in the events you participated in.
OOC: I only participated in three, if I remember correctly.
OOC: I think finding keys may have gained a few points.
OOC: Boss Hayes event counted more than the others as one of the judges choice events (the other was fan fictions). Even though it was only around for 2 days, many people were online for literal hours and contributed a lot to the excitement, so I'd say it was well-deserved. There were also gold, silver and bronze bonuses for the top three people in each event, garnering an extra 8, 5 or 3 points respectively.
OOC: Yeah, I suspected as much. The event was made awesome by the activity of the members, chief among them Booklover and Verdauga, so they both deserve the points they got.
I'd like to say though, the mods were awesome in oganising the entire thing and I really appreciate it. Thanks guys. *gives all the mods blocks of chocolate and hugs*
OOC: And custard. ;)
OOC: Of course! That goes without saying. *grins*

Teer basically dragged the mouse to the laden tables and thrust a plate into her paws, licking her lips in anticipation.
"Somebeast needs to say grace so we can eat already. Is that your job, since you won the extravaganza? Boiled pudding that soup smells good!"

So am I.
(BIC) "Boiled pudding?" Booklover questioned. "Oh, right, yeah grace.
Gathered here we are today
And may the visitors forever stay
For though the Extravaganza ends
We're yet to have a feast for our good friends!"
Teer shrugged dismissively as, giving Booklover an approving smile.
"It's just a figure of speech. Nice poetry, by the way."
BIC:
Verdauga gave another round of applause. "Good poem Booklover!" Turning to the admins and mods, he added, "Thanks for throwing this all together! It was fun!"

OOC: 'Incativity'? Na' vot iz zat?
BIC: Header also cheered, tossing his cap up and just managing to catch it again at the last second before it would have landed in the strawberry cordial. He put it (the cap) back on and picked up a warm scone. "Ye ken vot ve really need ze noo tae conclude ze event viz a bang?" he said. "Anozer food foight!" He began eating the scone. "But zat'z juzt a zuggeztion."
8 points, not bad.
Sebias walked into the topic, joining the other cheering creatures. Holding up a cup of strawberry fizz, he said, "Here's to the Redwall Forum! May it live long! And that all of the members will live long and happy lives, full of good books and friends!"
Teer raised her cup, not really sure of what the liquid inside was but willing to try it anyway.
"To the Redwall forum! All that stuff you said!"
Grinning, the taniwha drank, her eyes widening with delight at the taste of the light pink concoction. It tasted like a combination of raspberry, rosehip and something else she couldn't quite place, and it was deliciously sweet and tangy at the same time.
"This whatever it is tastes wonderful. You should try it." She told whoever was standing beside her, not really looking to check who it was she'd just talked to, distracted by the sound of the two bells ringing joyously. They sounded as keen to celebrate as every other beast there.
Oh please, all the organisation in the world wouldn't mean anything if there weren't goodbeasts like yourselves willing to participate. Thank you all for the fun! :-*
Kade stumbled into the scene. "Wait, we're doing this? Nobeast told me! Um, uh...." Before the Otterbadger could figure out what he wanted to say, he tripped over his own footpaws and cartwheeled into a face plant. He lay there silently, and moments passed. Suddenly, the large creature leaped to his paws, shouting. "Yaaaaaah, Redwaaaaaaal!!!!!!"
((OOC: Thanks for the fun event, all you mods! Wish I'd had time to participate a bit more. By the by, did the judges have actual critiques for the fanfiction event entries? If so, I'd be interested to see them.))
(OOC:) Oooh, yes, I'd like some critique on the fanfiction too! (If you don't mind. No pressure)
BIC:
Teer spun round as she felt air pushed out of the way to make room for somebeast's cartwheel-come-faceplant. She chuckled, shaking her head as she recognised the huge muscles and furry grace that belied the recent display of clumsiness. The taniwha was about to offer a paw to help the otterbadger up but he bet her to it, jumping upright with the ease that seemed to confirm her suspicion of his stumble being on purpose.
Grinning, Teer gestured to the laden tables.
"On your way to try the food? Those savory tart things are really good."
Sooo this is what yall are up tae. (Ps) I finally found out my pssword.
(OOC:) Yep! The Powers That Be (Mods and Admins) have done an outstanding job and we had a ton of fun. (Ps) Does that mean you'll be here more often now?

OOC: Ah, so I see. *is curious as to what it said before it was edited*

Teer grinned and passed a cup of the raspberry, rosehip and something else cordial to Scott, giving her potential new friend a happy smile.
"I didn't see you during the extravaganza. Did you just arrive here or were you busy preparing this delicious feast?"
*Happily accepts cup*
"Well you see I was a wee bit late for your extravaganza"
*Sips cordial and gives a satisfied sigh*
"Aaah been a while since I've actully had one of these . Anyway I've been scouting out new territory up north, we don't get luxuries like this up there"
Teer nodded, trying to stop the filling from a pastie drip down her chin and be polite at the same time.
"Ah, I see. Find anything interesting in the north? I hear you've been to Noonvale. I've heard about the place but ever had the chance to visit myself. What's it like?"
*Scott thought for a second before replying*
"Not much going on up there just a few toads and other slimey creatures. But I hear you ask about Noonvale, well Noonvale is located north east from here, Noonvale is hidden in the forest surrounded by sycamores and other various trees there are also many flowers of different varieties but.. The greatest thing of all they do not know of war or violence just peace. I woud have loved to stay there but my home is here in Mossflower and I believe I would grow restless itching to gut a vermin well, its the way I was raised... To be a warrior"
*Scott sat on his chair and forgot that Teer was listening, because he was thinking of Noonvale, and soon he drifted off into a deep slumber, dreaming of Noonvale*
Teer nodded, smiling happily at the description. It wasn't any different from what she'd heard of Noonvale before but it was still nice to hear. She was glad the place hadn't changed from last time she'd talked to a beast who'd visited the sunny valley. She chuckled at the mention of gutting vermin, reflecting that Scott would have been a useful beast to have around during the fight against the lizards.
The taniwha grabbed a scone, chewing thoughtfully as she watched the beast's eyelids droop and his breathing regulate. He looked peaceful enough but there was plenty to suggest that any vermin meeting him would be introduced to whatever weapon he carried rather promptly. Teer was glad he was an ally.
OOC:This should have been an actual RP.
OOC: It is an actual RP.
Verdauga slinked up to a table and grabbed a mug of strawberry cordial. He enjoyed these celebrations, but he could never quite figure out what to do during them.
OOC Well im asleep and I'll just wait for a valid time to wake up.
