Rain pattered gently off the white tent, sliding down the heavy surface to gently drop into puddles. Inside, Romanoff and Seasprit, the leaders of the Badger-Otter Catographical Society, intently studied the newest edition to their archive.
The massive badger sighed and tossed down his graphite stick.
"Oh, Sprit, it's useless. The seas are too wild for our coracles to get a good distance seaward. All the coast maps are the same. We need to cover more ground!"
Seasprit nodded sadly. She rang the tiny silver bell on their table and sat back. "Aye, mate, but what can we do? Me otters can't build ships. We're swimmers, not builders."
Romanoff barely glanced up as Hirs, the young ottermaid cook, ducked into the tent. "I know, friend, but we have to get out there."
Hirs curtsied daintily. "What'll it be, captains?"
Seasptrit massaged her eyelids gently. "One beaker of hotroot stew fer me."
Romanoff grunted and waved her off. Hirs shrugged and ran back out into the torrent.
Romanoff sat up as an idea struck him. "That's it! Redwall's the place to go!"
Seasprit scrunched her snout perplexedly. "Wot?"
He pounded the table with his fist, his excitement growing. "Redwall! They've got carpenters, otters, and shrews aplenty. Tonight, we set off for Redwall Abbey!"
just then a black mouse with a hat and feather was outside the tent.
BIC: might I enter out of this rain?
Not waiting for an answer she strode in and dipped a curtsy
BIC: I am Martina the Wanderer, I have come looking for a job position of fighter, singer and/or navigator, where pray might I find someone who is in need of any of these positions?
Sitting under a tent outside, Hirkah chuckled. "Wonder who that mouse could be?"
Fallon entered. 'I've heard of her. Nice creature.'
Skipper strolled across the abbey gardens with a couple of scones in his hand, he juggled them between his paws as the warmth reached his cold paws. The otter paused to take in the delicious smell of the cherry scones he had "borrowed" from the kitchens. He made his way to the pond and sat down with his legs crossed and stared across the still water. Skimming a stone or two across it to disturb it briefly. Once finishing his breakfast he dived in for his morning swim, he swam around, twisting and turning in an elegant underwater dance that only a creature of the water could achieve. Once finishing his exercise he shook himself to remove any droplets before drying the rest of his body with a towel.
Hirkah glanced at Fallon. "Really? What does she do?"
Wildfire watched as skipper stood up Making a leap she jumped net to him Yelling
"Yeaaaaaaahhhhhhhaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhh" she stood up after falling over "Di i scare you huh huh did i did i?" she asked Wildfire was in the habit of trying to scare people.
Romanoff stood and growled threateningly. "Who are you, mouse? How do you know who we are?"
Fluttering her eyes she answered:
BIC: Great seasons grand one I don't know who ye are, I'm just looking for a job. Hope you know of someone who needs a wanderer who can do just about anything, probably fighting or navigating are my best ones.
Hirkah chuckled. "Ho Ho, I bet she won't be doing anything if'nRomanoff gets much angrier wih her. I heard him growl from here!"
realizing that the creature in front of her was not a happy camper she stood in a fighter's stance.
BIC: Just try charging me, I can fight you aye and win too, I've beaten a death defying beaver before!
But Like I said I'm just looking for some work.
A red tail hawk flying over head in search of his pray spots the tents and the light smoke from the fire. Being in the air and the rain not letting up makes it rather hard to fly he lands just out side the tent and looks in through the door. Thinking if otters can fit then her could too just till the rain let up.
While looking through the open door he spots the little black mouse with the feather hat that he was about to swoop in on and give a bit of a grin. As he pokes his head into the tent.
"When your done tenderizing the meat on her bones just throw her out the door and I will happily take her off your hands."
He flutter his tail and wings shaking off the rain a bit hoping he be let in for a moment to warm him self by the fire.
OOC did you sign up?
Skipper turned to Wildfire and threw his arms up, adopting an expression of complete shock. 'Whoa there girl, you scared me out of a seasons growth.' Skipper smiled down at the cheerful otter and patted her on the shoulder, he strolled towards the main building, whistling a little tune and marveling at the beauty surrounding him on this fine morning.
"This day gets stranger and stranger," Hirkah continued. "Now there's a hawk. I think he wants that mouse. What d'you say?"
Martina whirled around with a stone in her sling aiming at the cheeky hawk.
BIC: Just you try!
Then with a whoosh she threw the stone into the fire, a bright green smoke ensued with Martina saying:
BIC: That was no stone it was a smoke bomb, now you won't find me until you've answered the question.
When the smoke vanished Martina was well hidden in the shadows of the tent.

The smokes fill the tent and I yank my head out and look at the billowing smoke of green with a very displeasing look.
"Why dose all the food I chase have to be so hard to catch. I do feel a bit sorry for the ones in the tent I am sure they were enjoying the fire. " He sighs and flutter his wing tail and head now shaking off what water he can.
"You little mouse cant stay in a smoke filled tent for long and your you exits are limited and I can see the slightest movement" he shouts.
the mouse laughed
BIC: HA just you try I can fight anyone!

And Melody you do not have to put BIC before anything she says If you put OOC (Out of Character) then you put BIC (Back in character) when you are being her for example. Romanoff dealt the hawk a stunning blow to the beak. "Cartographers, to arms!" he bellowed. Seasprit grabbed her sling and sent a stone whizzing into the hawk's plumage. Clattering weapons and stamping paws filled the air as the Society members stampeded towards the tent.
Martina then came out of no where standing in front of the hawk with a short sword.
"Touch him and I will carve your gut out badger!"
OOC i assume this is not at Redwall?

Hirkah, who had been slightly slow in getting his weapons, said aloud, "What in the name of shrimp'n'seashells are we attackin' for?"
BIC: Is hit in the beak by the badger and fall back a little then screeches at it. Hearing them grabbing weapons flaps his wings sending water in the badger's direction taking a step back. He see the mouse with the feather come to his defense and speaks.
"Hey now I came for the mouse I was only teasing about eating her I mean no one here any harm. Put your weapons down. I just wanted to find a place out of the lighting and rain."
Martina smiles at the hawk.
"I was too, I was also looking for a job."
Seeing other warriors who had no clue what was going on, she yelled.
"We are not vermin!"
Romanoff growled. "You sure have a fnny way of showing it."
Seasprit hushed him. "So, yew want a job? Well, if yew two can get us to Redwall, you're on board, mates!"
Martina smiled.
Redwall?! Sure I know the place been there once when I was just a dibbun with my father!"
She elagently bowed at the badger.
"sorry for jumping in like that."
"Pleasure to meet you lady Martina I am MouseChaser. I have heard of the place as well but why do you want to get in to red wall. You do know that you can walk up to the gate and talk to them right? They do help a lot of the animals here with needs."
Watches there hands and keep a close eye on his defender.

i hear the noise from my hiding place and i walk into the camp
BIC: "whats all the noise? i was tryin to catch some shuteye!"
Hirkah said to himself, "I've seen that guy sleeping all over. how many RP's is he gonna sleep himself into?"
Axel whacks hirkah with a plant for saying that.
"Hey! Watch it. And what are you talking in first person for?"

Wildfire yelled after skipper "Were you telling the truth i can never tell!"
The rain continues to come down as he looks for a better place with more cover to perch as the mouse with the feather in her hat defends. He shakes his head wings and tail feathers to get a bit dryer.
"I really dislike the rain by the what are you all having for supper? I am starving and seeing how my meal is in a fight it only going to make her lean and stringy."
Skipper turned and smiled, and replied whilst walking backwards, his paws held behind his back. 'Of course I was.' He shouted back to her, giving a roguish wink and changed course to a group of dibbuns gathering close by as they caught his attention, time to see what the little one's were up to.
Romanoff groaned and clutched his head in his hands. "Fine,. fine, fine, you can stay, got it? Now everyone, to bed! We move tomorrow!"
walks back into my hiding spot and goes back to sleep.
"ZZZZZZZ"
"Lady Martina would you mind if I perch in your tent till at least the rain stop? I will help you set it up if need be. I don't like setting in the trees when there is lighting. Oh by the way to the rest of you, poison tooth may be about so if I were all of you keep and eye out. Sleep well all."
As he follows along with Lady Martina commenting on the lack of food wondering what she might have for a night cap. He also spoke of how the snake in question my be a bit angry with him for eating one of his sisters but she deserved what she got for her lack of judgment.
Romanoff blew out the candle and settled into his massive cot. A renegade mouse and a savage bird...what next?
As the day breaks the haw sits looking at Romanoff at the end of his cot. He tilts his head and watches his eyes blink keeping track of his every movement and every twitch.
He speaks to the sleeping rat.
"You look so tasty laying there but I am only here to wake you for morning breakfast. Mmmm breakfast." Has a bit of grin.
He leans in closer to the rat and to watch his face tilting his head again.
