Ch. One.
"I now pronounce you husband and wife," said Abbot Mordaflus as he closed his bible. Then a cheer went up throughout Redwall Abbey as Mattimeo son of Matthias the Warrior was married to Tess Churchmouse. It is the summer of Warrior's Love. The other day Orlando the Axe proposed to Constance Badger.
There was a wonderful wedding feast with all sorts of food, Candied Chesnuts, Sweet Nutmeg, and even a great fish caught by Matthias and Abbot Alf. There was last autumn's October Ale and Strawberry Cordial that was enjoyed by all. Matthias nudged Mattimeo as he finished off some ale, "comon Matty give them a speech. I said a speech at my wedding." "oh alright father,' said Mattimeo clearing his throat, "excuse me everybody I don't want to inerupt anyone but I would like to tell you all my plan for the future. I plan on moving to St. Ninians with my wife and the Churchmouse family. When I get there would like to live in peace there and be a guard for Redwall at the newly built St. Ninians Outpost the tower that is a forward protection station for Redwall." An applause went up throughout Cavern Hole as the celebration died down.
As Mattimeo got into a wagon that Orlando was to bring to St. Ninians he heard someone yelling. He turned around and saw his beautiful mother Cornflower. "Love you Matty, while you guard Redwall and your family and Redwall you will need a sword," said Cornflower as she handed him a sword. Joy leaped up in Mattimeo's heart as he thought, "have they given me the sword of Martin the Warrior!?" But he was disappointed and at the same time puzzled as he pulled out a different sword. It had a bronze hilt with a ruby in the shape of a rose and on the blade were the words, "Laterose of Noonvale" He did not know what, "Laterose of Noonvale" mean but thanked his mother and they were off.
Cool. Just a small tip, when you write story's you have to add a lot of detail. ;)
Dude I did in all Redwall books the first chapter is the shortest and so is the second so I'm keeping tradition.
I'm just saying, you can never have to much detail.
It's great!!! :)
Tip: not to be rude, but you could use the spellcheck and make the chapters a little longer. ;)
it was good but needs tweaking with spelling and stuff it bothered me a little when u spelled guard wrong andin my opinion at first it should have been like it was a warm summer day and all that kind of stuff and then u make a paragraph of all of that and like mathiasman said more detail and i hope u know all of this is to make u a better wrighter and also no ones story is perfect not even brian jauches books but its pretty good so far

Ch. Two.
In the Great Mossflower Bazaar there were all kinds of creatures, mice of all kinds, moles, shrews, some badgers, squirrels, and even hares of the Long Patrol policing it all. There was though a part of the Bazaar called the Slum Market. It was a crime infested area filled with vermin and filth. They were mostly thieves, smugglers, and mercenaries with an assassin here and there. But that day a figure was in the Slum Market that really stood out it was Ragals, Ragals the Assassin.
Nobody knows where he came from some say he was from the northern seas as a pirate but the most likely answer is that he showed up in Mosflower one day from the south with nothing but the cloak on his back. His strange cloak covered all his face except for his nose.
As he walked through Slum Market he stormed into a tent that had a sign that said, "Mercenaries wanted" He walked in and saw a huge rat but young looking, about twenty seasons old, at the end of a table with a map of Mossflower on it on it discussing things with other vermin. He looked up at the fox and said, "Ahh Ragals Ive been waiting for you." "Shut up Devilrat you are to young address me like that but enough of this you said you had work for me?" snapped Ragals slamming a fist on the table. "Yes I do Ragals... Yes I do..."
Is chapter three almost finished?
Or do you need help?
I would absolutely LOVE to help write a story too. I like it.
Want me to post ch. Three tomorrow?
yep.
Yes! I would love to read more of it.

Ch. Three
At Redwall it was a beautiful day, Abbot Alf was fishing, Matthias was sparring with Orlando the Axe, Sister May was telling the little children a story, and Constance was teaching the novices the ways of the abbey. Then BANG! BANG! BANG! At the abbey doors, "who goes there!?" said Brother Rufus at the travelers. "We are humble nomads from the south here to talk of trade with the abbot!" said the traveler leader. "Fine you may come in but drop you weapons." said Brother Rufus making sure the dropped all weapons.
Then the abbey doors opened up and a fox and a stoat came in with grim looks on their faces. Matthias went up to the fox and said, "come with me fox and I will take you to the abbot." "Thank you mouse..." said the fox getting a growl from Orlando. While Matthias was bringing him to the abbot the stoat was scared to death and the fox didn't say a word. When they got to there the abbot said, "how can I help you fox?" "Listen to this is how abbot, In the name of Devilrat the Terrible, Lord of Vermin, future Emperor of Mossflower, Nephew of Cluny the Sour-" THWAK!! Cornflower was listening the whole time and hit the fox on the stomach with a staff. Then Matthias swung his sword at the fox and missed. As he hit and killed the stoat the fox bolted for the door. Then he made it to the courtyard then barely made it out the gate.
Sam Squirrel was on the ramparts and saw the fox. Orlando yelled, "stop the fox!" as soon as Sam heard this he shot and arrow at the fox then ripped the cloak off the fox. When he saw his face he gasped, he was glad to be the only creature to see his face and he kept it to himself.....
Is it a demo? I mean are you going to change it, add details, make the chapters longer and all that?
Ya
What's on his face?
Not telling you will find out later bur you your looking for answers go to the cellars and look at the poll, Ragals the Assassin's secrets or something like that
.
it was a good chapter but a little to gruesome compared to all of the other redwall books
Good. ;D Now I have a flablillion more questions. :P

Ch. Four
Back at St. Ninians Mattimeo was in the St. Ninians outpost tower wondering what, " Laterose of Noonvale" meant. It was a beautiful day in Mossflower, the trees were green, the birds were singing, and the sky was a pretty color of blue. Mrs. Churchmouse and Tess were having a picnic on the church lawn eating berries and nuts. Mattimeo was racking his brain of any memories of the words on the sword, " what do they mean? It must have some meaning..."
Then almost as if out of nowhere he heard screaming from behind him. He turned around and saw ten rats and a ferret grab Tess and Mrs. Churchmouse. "Stop in the name of Redwall!" said Mattimeo shooting an arrow into a rats body. Then the ferret yelled, "get him!" pointing at Mattimeo. The rats charged him while the ferret and another rat dragged the women off. Mattimeo was in a rage and charged the rats yelling,"Redwall!!!" He cut the heads off of one then he hacked the rest to death in his rage. He looked up from the dead mangled bodies and saw that the vermin had taken away his wife and mother-in-law. He then yelled in a berserk rage, " curse you vermin! I'll kill you all!" Then a stone was flung by a rat and hit him on the forehead. That was the last thing
"How long until the ferrets arive?" said Devilrat slamming his paw on the table of his hideout in the bazaar. "They are a little behind sir!" said Blackeye as he was trembling. "Well.... WHEN CAN THEY BE HERE?!?!" screamed Devilrat at his second-in-command. "We dont know sir last we heard of them they were at Log-a-log bridge fighting shrews," said Blackeye shaking. "SHUT UP AND GET OUT!!!!" yelled Devilrat as Blackeye ran out of the room terrified. "Bloodjaw!" then a weasel with dark crimpson teeth came in and said, "Yup chief? Anything you need done chief? Got a plan chief?"
"SHUT UP!!"
"Shuting up chief!"
"Organize your crew, ive got a plan to take Redwall!" said Devilrat. The weasel satuted and left the tent. "Ragals! get in here!" yelled Davilrat, as the fox assassin came in, " Is there work to be done young warlord?" said the fox cunningly. "Yes there is Ragals tell the men to comence operation DEATH MERCHANT. The fox bowed low and left the tent. Devilrat knew that this would get him a lot closer to conquering Redwall. He was much closer to creating The Mossflower Empire which was his goal and his other goal was to make Matthias the Warrior suffer for killing his uncle....
Its good, you should make a poll.
I must say the idea of a "Laterose" sword does sound very interesting. Will your story reflect on how it was forged?

Ch. Five
At St. Niniains Mattimeo was not dead but unconscious. The vermin of Devilrat thought he was dead so they left his body to rot. But those unconscious minutes were the most important moments of his life. He saw a beautiful maiden garbed in blue and holding the sword his mother gave him. She said with a mystical voice,
"Mattimeo..... wielder of my blade... your time has not come to join me and my love Martin and I in the heavens..... rise Mattimeo..... You are not the Redwall warrior yet..... But you are the beginning of a new line of warriors... You are the first..... Knight of Noonvale!"
Then she placed the sword back in his hands and disappeared. Then he woke up and heard a faint sound in the wind, "Mattimeo...." He then sheathed the sword and headed for the woods to find his wife. When he started he had a strange melody in his head which he had never heard before,
"You will find me at Noonvale on the side of a hill,
When the summer is peaceful and high
There where streamlets meander the valley is still,
'Neath the blue of a calm cloudless sky......"
That was all he knew the rest was a mystery. But he did not know that his sword was glowing when he sang that song.
awsome thats all i can say :)
cool!
Thats awesome!!

Ch. Six
In Redwall there was talk of war throughout the entire abbey. Matthias and Orlando were strenthening the defences while Cornflower was sent to the bazaar to get some supplies to be brought to the abbey, extra food, decent weapons, and mabye some able bodied woodlanders to help fight.
As she drew near to the bazaar she heard whips crackingand yelling up ahead. "Now what could that be?" she thought as she carefully snuck up on the bazaar. When she got to a place where she was safe and could get a good veiw of the bazaar she found a shocking suprise. The whole bazaar was under the control of vermin and the had enslaved the creatures of the bazaar to build them some sort of city.
She turned around to leave and saw Mr. John Churchmouse right there looking at her scared half to death. "OH Cornflower we must leave the whole bazaar has been taken over! Tess and Mrs. Churchmouse are here and I barely escaped. They told me to go tell the other-" and those were the last words of Mr. John Churchmouse retired abbey recorder. Right then a broad sword had cut his head off and Cornflower screamed in horror. Then a cloaked fox came out and he was the murderer of John Churchmouse. "Ahh.. Cornflower is it? well I know you any where.. you are the wife of Matthias the Warrior!!!" He then licked his blood stained blade and said, "You will suffer like your husband has made me and my commander suffer!" he grabbed her and dragged her away screaming.
Back at Redwall all was ready for a siege, the provitions were inventoryed, the guard was set, and the gate was reinforced. "Were is Cornflower?" said Matthias, "It's not like her to be out this late! I knew I shoulden't have let her go alone!" Then Constance patted his shoulder and said, "Don't worry Matthias she will be fine. She is a very brave woman." Then an arrow landed right in Matthias's scabbard and stuck in it. "Get down!" yelled Constance as they all got down but no more arrows came. So they pulled out the arrow that had landed on his sheath. "Look a letter," said Constance pulling off a piece of paperand cleared her throat. "In the name of Devilrat you must surrend Redwall Abbey to him. I have your wife, your son's wife, and your son's mother-in-law. Your son is dead and you have no chance of beating me now Matthias!" "YOU MONSTER!!! ILL KILL YOU DEVILRAT!!! YOU AND YOUR HORDE IF IT'S THE LAST THING I DO!!!" said Matthias in a berserk rage.....
awsome

Ch. Seven
From the great mountain Slamandastron, Home of the badger lords, the Long Patrol regiment was mobilizing at the foot of the mountain while in side the great fortress Lord Boar II was planning with his generals.
"Well so were has Devilrat gone now?" asked Boar.
"We think he has taken over our settlement/bazaar in Mossflower," said a hare general.
Then the badger lord banged his paw on the table and said, "what are we doing to take it back?!"
"Nothing right now milord but-"
"But nothing!!! We will gather the troops and head for Mossflower imeadiatly!" yelled the badger in anger.
"Yes Lord Boar..." said the hare leaving the room.
"Hmmm..." said Boar to himself in his private room looking at a map, "I've heard reports of creatures fighting the vermin already... Now who could that be?" As he looked at his map he saw a little red fort that said, Redwall Abbey, under the picture. "Ahhhh so now I know who has been fighting Devilrat... The Redwallers!"
Then the Great Badger Lord of Salamadastron went out on a balcony to speak to his army,
"Great soldiers of Salamandastron! We march to Redwall Abbey to free the land of Devilrat and his horde! We will fight for the Redwallers, the woodlanders, and ourselves!!" A large yell went throughout the whole mountain, "EULALLIA!!!!!!!!"
As the Long Patrol and Lord Boar II travelled closer to the abbey, Mattimeo made his way through the woods to find his wife. As he walked through The woods he heard voices. He got down on the ground and crawled over towards them. He peeked out from behind a bush and saw three rats standing in front of a wooden building with a sign that said, "Rusty Mace Tavern"
"Well I'll be an adders uncle. I've never heard of a tavern in Mossflower." said Mattimeo a he got up and walked over. The rats rats gave him a strange look and walked away. He walked in and saw a strange view. It was a rustic tavern with mostly shrews with some rats here and there. They were drinking ale and brawling. Mattimeo walked up and dodged a bottle that flew by his head then said to the bartender, "Some October Ale please." the dirty shrew turned around and handed him a mug, " 'ere ye go mate." then went back to his work. Mattimeo then drank it and left the Tavern as a shrew was flung right by his face by another shrew. He walked out and the three rats he saw were back and said,
"Well well well if it isn't Mattimeo, son of the Redwall warrior.... Get 'em boys," as they attacked him. Mattimeo pulled out his sword and slashed the first one across the chest. Then the next one swung at him with his mace. Mattimeo blocked it with his sword and then stabbed him in the stomach. Then the leader tried to jab him with his pike and Mattimeo dodged it and cut it in half. The rat was shocked by this and Mattimeo swung his sword at him and cut off his head.
"Well that was.. Unexpected..." said Mattimeo putting away his sword and was beginning to leave when he heard somebody say, "Hoi!"
"Who said that," said Mattimeo as he pulled out his sword again. Then a shrew with a small sword said, "Oi know you! Your Matthias's boy Mattimeo! My father served with your father in the wars with Cluny the Scourge and fought Slagar the Slaver."
"Are you the son of Log-a-log of the Guosim?" said Mattimeo anxiously. "Yes I am." said the shrew.
"So your name must be.."
"Yup Log-a-log"
"Nice to meet you Log-log but I'm in a real hurry and I must leave." said Mattimeo walking away. "Wait for me!" said Log-a-log running up to him, "I'm coming with you if you like it or not. For the Guosim issued a new law that if any shrew met a relative of Matthias that was in need of help he or she must help them."
"Well I'm welcome of your company Log-a-log," said Mattimeo as the two new found friends were off.
cool!
alright cool also like the others but i would have said the two NEW FOUND friends were off just a suggestion

Tis pretty good dude.

Ch. Eight
At Redwall Matthias never left Warrior's Cottage and no one dared disturb him for fear that he might go into anthor bloodwrath. All the archers were on the walls ready to fight while the rest of the men braced the gate. Abbot Alf was trying to ignore the thought of battle and Sister May was getting the dibbons into the dormitories. of Then one guard fell over with an arrow in his chest.
"WE'RE UNDER ATTACK!!!!" yelled the guards as more arrows wizzed by.
Then they saw the huge vermin army. Jess squirell thought that it was bigger than Cluny's army and the army of Malkariss combined. They had all sorts of weapons of war, battering rams, seige towers, catapults, and balistas.
"Well i'll be an adder's uncle..."
"Oi loik ot all thoit!"
"Well shiver me timbers matey..."
The catapults and balistas got to work the moment the army emerged demolishing redwallers by the tons. The battering rams went up to the gates and began banging on the doors. They had so many as soon as the redwallers would destroy one another one took it's place. The seige towers carried about one hundred vermin each and they would go right up to the walls, drop down a bridge and the vermin would pour out. They would drop of their troops and go back for more as another one took it's place. The cycle of seige towers seemed almost endless and by noon the vermin already took most of the walls. Then the great gate gave way and they spilled in killing the redwallers at will. They pushed the redwallers back to the keep were they had a very bloody battle. The redwallers were wondering, "were is Matthias? Shouldn't the great Redwall Warrior be helping?" Then the vermin were going to brake into the Warrior's Cottage when the doors opened and Matthias came out in full battle armor and was fighting the vermin of in a bloodwrath. Then Ragals the Assassin came up behind him while he was fighting the vermin. He heard Martin's voice in his mind, "Matthias... I am that is...."
Then Matthias turned around to see Ragals swing a sword at him and knock his helment off. Matthias swung his sword at him only to be blocked by Ragals's shield. Ragals then swung his sword at Matthias's legs but the warrior jumped up and suwng at Ragals across the face. But Ragals swung his head back to dodge it and then his hood flew off. Matthias then knew it all. "Slagar!?! I thought you were dead!!!" said Matthais dodging a strike from the assassin. "I am dead MATTHIAS!!!" said Ragals blocking a swing from Matthias with his shield. Matthias was shocked, "How is he dead?!" thought to himself. Then the redwallers saw their warrior fighting the enemy and they did a counter-attack. They pushed the vermin back to the gates. Ragals looked at his men and said, "fall back men retreat!" Then the vermin ran from Redwall back to there base.
The Redwallers cheered for their hero as he saved Redwall Abbey. "That should teach 'em!" yelled Orlando as they cheered for their warrior. "They will be back," said Matthias to the redwallers, "We must prepare for the next attack." Then the redwallers went to work on repairs. Then Matthias got on the wall and looked over the war torn Mossflower, "How is he dead?"
Neat Cn't wait for more ;)
I have to take time to read it! :-\ Seems really good!

Ch. Nine
In Mossflower Woods Log-a-log and Mattimeo made their way through the forest headed for the bazaar to find the others. They reached the outskirts of the bazaar and began watching the activity there. They were surprised that the city Devilrat wanted for his capital.
"We will need some sort of distraction so we can look for Tess and any other Redwallers that are here." said Mattimeo to Log-a-log. Then Log-a-log cupped his hands around his mouth and let out a very loud,
"logalogalogalogalogalogalogalogalogalog!!!"
"What are you doing?" said Mattimeo, "Do you want to give away our position!" But then to his surprise as soon as he said that tons of shrews came out of the woods and attacked the vermin. They caught the vermin by surprise and the beginning of the fight went well for them.
"Well that would work," said Mattimeo to Log-a-log. Then they ran to the area that looked like the slave compound. They snuck by the battle and crept right up to the compound. They looked for a cell that held the Redwallers. They finally found a cell that had a Redwaller in it. There was a rat holding a canteen trying to get water down Tess's throat. Mattimeo snuck up behind the rat to kill him. Tess didn't see him come up behind him and was trying to avoid the water.
"Come on you stupid mouse! Hold sti-!" said the rat just as Mattimeo stabbed him through the chest.
"Mattimeo !" said Tess as he helped her up. "Oh Mattimeo! I missed you!" she said as she hugged him and he hugged back. Then Log-a log came in and said to Mattimeo, "Uh Matty we might want to get out of here! The shrews are suffering heavy losses!"
"But Mattimeo both our mothers are here as well!"
"I'm sorry Tess but we must leave now." said Mattimeo as he ran out of the cell with them. When they got outside Log-a-log yelled, "Guosim brothers! Retreat!" Then all the shrews along with the two Redwallers escaped into the woods.
"You idiots!" yelled Devilrat storming out of his tent, "You let them escape! Fools! I'm surrounded by fools!"
i realy liek it cant wait till the next one

Ch. Ten
In Redwall the defenders fought off many of Devilrat's attacks but were getting weaker and weaker. The Dibbuns were usually in the cellar instead of the dormitories and they had guards around Martin's Tapastry for fear that the enemy might try to steal it. Tim Churchmouse was in the kitchen gearing up for a journey.
"Tim you really shouldn't go alone. You might be caught by Devilrat's press gangs." said Abbot Alf handing him a bag of food.
"I'll be fine father abbot. When I get to the otter tribes down south I will ask for help to fight off the invaders." said Tim putting the pack on his backpack.
"Be safe sir." said Rollo Bankvole Tim's apprentice. "Dont worry Rollo I'll come back." said Tim putting his hand on his shoulder. Tim went to the back abbey doors and Tim looked at Abbot Alf and said,
"Please father abbot keep the abbey safe."
"That I will Tim. Goodbye."
"Goodbye father abbot"
Then Tim was off. He was making good progress and made it to St. Ninians at sunset. "Well old girl I didn't think I would fing you still intact." looking at his old church home.
"Well this seems like a good spot to stay for the night." Tim set up his little tent and got a fire going. He had his dinner and went to bed. He woke up in the middle of the night and heard voices. He picked up his sword and said, "come out whoever you are!" Then the voices stopped. He slowly walked over to where the voices had been and looked around and saw no one around.
"Huh... Must have been my imagination." he said turning around. He saw a paw reach out and grab him and alot more grab him and tie him up. He was blind folded so he could not see where they were taking him. The next thing he saw was a great tree and one of the creatures that tied him up knock on the tree. Then a great figure opened a door and looked at the creatures and then at him. It then pointed into the tree and they drug him in. He then found himself in a great castlelike building and he could clearly see now that the creatures that tied him up were shrews. The great beast he saw was a badger. They dragged him to a prison cell and untied him. Then they through him in. He was in the cell for a few hours when the door opened and he saw Mattimeo and Tess. He jumped up and went to embrace them. They had a jolly time then Tim asked,
"What is this place?"
"Why you my friend are in Brockhall." said Mattimeo drinking some strawberry cordial.
"Brockhall? You mean THE Brockhall? Home of the badgers?" asked Tim very excited.
"Yup this is the place." said Mattimeo taking another swig of cordial.
"This is amazing! Ive always wanted to come here!" said Tim jumping up. "Well while the Redwallers have been fighting Devilrat we here at Brockhall have created, M.A.W., The Mossflower Alliance of Warriors. We have been fighting Devilrat as well as you have." said Mattimeo putting his mug on a table while a shrew refiled it for him.
"Well I dont know what to say... Redwall has nearly fallen several times and here you sit drinking around on the floor like corsairs!!" exclaimed Tim.
"Oh ya? Let's see who's drinking!" said Mattimeo jumping up out of his chair pulling out his sword. "You wouldn't dare!" said Tim getting up and pullig out his sword. "Stop it both of you!! Look at you!! Now you both are like corsairs!" said Tess jumping up, "I'm going to bed and I hope both of you can begin to act normal on your own!" as she left the room. Then they both sat down and talked.
"Well sorry about that Tim."
"I'm sorry too Matty"
"Well how much do you know about Noonvale?" asked Mattimeo. "Um a decent amount. Why?" replied Tim. "Well can you look through some of the old books here and tell me anything special about this sword?" said Mattimeo pulling out the sword.
"Well if you let me barrow the sword I might be able to find some thing."
"Thanks Tim I knew i could rely on you" said Mattimeo handing him the sword. "I'm going to bed now so when you want to go to bed just ask one of the shrews. They will show you to your room."
Ch. Eleven
In Brockhall the GUOSIM had joined the MAW for defeating Devilrat. Mattimeo and Log-a-log were training the troops while Tim was doing research on the sword.
"Hm... So it was forged by Martin.... In memory of the maiden he loved, Rose of Noonvale.... Well i'll be an adder's uncle!" said Tim reading a book outloud to himself.
"The sword is said to hold the very spirit of Rose within the blade." as he put the book back he saw a very small and very old book that read, Hero's of Noonvale. He took it down and opened it to a chapter that said, The Sword He read it to himself outloud,
"The Blade of Noovale is a Sword crafted by a mouse named Martin of Redwall in memory of his loved one Laterose of Noonvale daughter of Uhrah Voh Chieftan of Noonvale. When he crafted it he built the Shrine of Noonvale here in Mossflower. He would go to it alone and think about her. He said it was the closest he got to being with her. He put the sword in a pedastal with the words, Rose ingraved into it. Over time the shrine was lost and the sword was still in the pedastal. Then the sword was found by a mouse corsair by the name of Felldoh Sparra and given to the Badger Lord Urthwhite who lost it one day to thieves who delivered it to Castle Marl. The world currently does not know of it's whereabouts." Then Tim closed the book and put it back but when he did a page fell out. He picked up the page and looked at it. It had writing that read,
He who is choosen to wield my blade must learn the sacred melody of Noonvale to bring Martin back in time of need.
"I must tell the others!" said Tim running outside to get Mattimeo. "Mattimeo! Come quickly!" running outside. Mattimeo ran up to him and said,
"What is it Tim? Did you find somthing important?"
"Yes it is Matty! Look at this!" showing him the piece of paper. Mattimeo read it and said, "Well knock me down.. We find this shrine and find out more. Log-a-log can you deal with Devilrat while I run a little errond?"
"That I can general!"
"All right then i'll get packed adn we can set out soon." said Mattimeo going inside. "I'm going with you Matty. I found out about the shrine and I want to see it myself." said Tim.
"I would love your company Tim." said Mattimeo putting his hand on his shoulder.
"No way am I letting you go again Mattimeo!" said Tess who was evsdropping.
"But Tess!"
"But nothing! i'm going with you!"
"All right dear you can come." said Mattimeo. They all got packed up and they set out the next day.
*
"C'mon me harties! Get a move on!" yelled Cap'n Barbossa Sparra to his crew.
"We will never make it to the River Moss at this rate!" as he veiwed his crew from the bridge of his giant ship, The Black Abbey, headed for the River Moss. The Sparra family were the most feared cosairs on the seas. For generations they had captained the ship, The Black Abbey, and now Barbossa Sparra was headed for Mossflower Wood. He had just came back from pilaging the coast of the island Jima and had his eye set on Mossflower.
"Get those sails up! We need to reach Mossflower by nightfall!" he yelled going to his cabin. His crew worked as hard as they could through the storm. That night Barbossa woke up to somebeast yellng.
"land ho!"
Barbossa got up to the deck and looked at Mossflower and said, "I've arrived Mossflower!" laughing he got to the bridge and stared at the woods.
Ch. Twelve
"So Tim do you have any clues on were this shrine might be?" said Mattimeo as they trekked through the woods. "Um... Well not really but I did read one book that said it was on the other side of the the River Moss." replied Tim looking at a map. "Can we take a break please!" begged Tess taking a drink from her canteen. "I guess we can stop for lunch." said Mattimeo taking off his pack and sitting down on the ground.
"We need to find a way to cross the river." said Mattimeo taking a bite of food.
"We could try Log-a-log bridge." suggested Tim. Mattimeo spit out his food and said, "That's right!" as he got his pack back on, "Come on let's go." Then they set back out for the bridge. Mattimeo and the others got to the bridge and saw a rat guarding the entrance. Mattimeo looked at Tim and said, "ok keep down and-" then the rat fell into the water screaming. They looked at Tess who had just thrown a rock with a sling.
"Good job Tess!" said Tim walking up to the bridge with Mattimeo and Tess. They crossed the bridge and heard a noise like somebeast yelling orders. They got to the other side of the bridge and hid in the bushes.
Then four longboats came up the river filled with corsairs. Then they all jumped out of their boats and on to the shore. Their leader was a mouse dressed in black leather robe like garments and had a cutlass on his belt.
"Alright men spread out and bring anything of worth." then the men spread out in groups of ten. The cap'n then told the rest of the men.
"Wait here for the other longboats. Greath come with me." pointing at an otter he went off into the woods.
"Well we should try to avoid those brigands." said Mattimeo walking off with the others.

Ch. Thirteen
Barbossa made his way through Mossflower Woods with his otter first mate, Greath.
"Quick get down." wispered Barbossa as a M.A.W. patrol came by.
"There are to 'any shrews cap'n," said Greath as the shrews walked by.
"Aye Greath. that's the third one so far!" said Barbossa getting up and walking to their destenation. They snuck by the bazaar patrols and the guards at Brockhall. They arrvied at the road that led to Redwall Abbey.
"Almost there mate!" he said to Greath. "Blow the horn." Then Greath pulled out an ivory horn and blew it.
WHOOP!!!!
Then in a few minetes all the men that were sent on shore with Barbossa showed up. They were mice, otters, squirrels, voles, shrews, even some moles and a big badger.
"Alright men we arn't sacking Redwall. we don't have bearly enough men to take Redwall. Even if we brought the rest of the men from the ship we couldn't do it. So get that out of ye heads. We are just going to walk up and i'm gonna do the talking." said Barbossa to his men. Then they left for Redwall. They arvied at Redwall just in time to see the Redwallers beat off one of Devilrat's attacks. They went right up to the gates and the badger (whose name was Bulk) banged on the abbey doors. Then arrows flew all over the place but all missed his men.
"What in the name of Vilu Daskar are ye doing!" yelled Barbossa, "we come in peace!" Then Matthias and Constance looked over the walls.
"Drop your weapons and you may enter!" yelled Matthias to them.
"Agreed!" yelled back Barbossa as they put down their weapons.
"Also only one may enter" said Matthias as the crew yelled back him,
"Not on my 'oul!"
"Aye not while we are 'till alive!"
"No men it's fine i'll go" said Barbossa. Then they opened the gates and let Barbossa in. He walked in and was amazed at the wonders of the abbey. They took him to the abbot's private chamber under the guard of Matthias.
"How can I help you young mouse?" said Abbot Mordalfus leaning back in his chair.
"I've come to offer my help. My crew and I have had a bad past with Devilrat." said Barbossa.
"so you just showed up to help? For no reason but that you hate him?" said Matthias.
"No, we do have another reason. We want to be paid." said Barbossa stroking his wiskers.
"How much and what?" said Matthias.
"Enough supplies to last us six months and 300 gold coins."
"Then so be it Mr.....?"
"Cap'n Barbossa Sparra."
"Alright Mr. Sparra"
"Cap'n Sparra"
"Ok Captain Sparra you will get your payment and you may bring in your crew into the abbey." said Abbot Mordalfus getting up from his chair. "Matthias please get his crew and Sister Elizabeth." said Abbot Alf as a young mouse maid about twenty seasons old came in and said,
"Yes father abbot?"
"Please show Captain Sparra to his room." said the abbot. "Come with me sir. I'll show you to your room" said Elizabeth gesturing Barbossa to follow. She led him by the tapestry of Martin the Warrior and he said, "Who is that?"
"That's Martin. He founded our order here at the abbey." said Elizabeth, "Now this is your room sir." pointing at a guest dormitory.
"Thank you maiden." said Barbossa as he steped into the doorway he turned around and said,
"So what was your name?"
"Elizabeth" she said smiling, "I have to work in the kitchens now." as she left he watched her go and said to himself, "Now she's a pretty one."

Ch. Fourteen
In Redwall Abbey Devilrat attacked many times but was beaten back. The redrawallers were getting very weary of battle and Barbossa's crew was getting smaller.
"Well father abbot we are running low on supplies and men." said Matthias in the abbot's council meeting.
"Aye we be losing the war ole abbot," said Barbossa stroking his wiskers like he usually did.
"We must ration out our food stores carefully." said Abbot Alf who was presiding over the meeting.
"And what of our loss of men?" asked Orlando sharpening his axe.
"We must take better precautions on spotting the enemy before they are right on top of us." said the abbot slammmg his fist on the table.
"Don't kill ye self ye ole abbot." whispered Barbossa to himself.
"Alright everybeast the meeting is over." said Abbot Alf getting up from his chair, "and I'm going to bed."
The redwallers all went to their night positions and bed. Barbossa was headed for room in the dormitories when he bumped into Elizabeth and they both fell over.
"Oh excuse me Mr. Sparra," said Elizabeth picking up the things she dropped. Barbossa helped her pick them up saying, "pardon me saying miss but I think there should be a cap'n in there."
"Oh I'm sorry sir.. Uh... Captain... I didn't know."
"It's fine. It's just a title. So your name is Elizabeth, right?"
"uh yes captain."
"Just call me Barbossa."
"I like that name."
"Thank ye miss."
"Can I see you again Barbossa?"
"Yes ye can miss. I'll see you tomorrow in the orchard?"
"That would be nice Barbossa." said Elizabeth getting up.
"Ahem! I hope I'm not interrupting anything!" said Constance Badger with her arms crossed.
"eek! Constance I'm uh... I mean uh..." squeked Elizabeth running down the hall trying to not get in trouble with the badgermum of Redwall.
"Is that all you do at this abbey?! Scare beautiful mousemaidens?!" said Barbossa very angry.
"No it's not you barnacle loving corsair!" growled Constance at him, "You cannot marry a sister of our abbey! They are not permitted to marry!"
"Then how come you just got engaged to Orlando?!"
"I'm not a sister of the abbey!" said Constance rolling up her sleeves and picking up a staff.
"Well if you try to beat me you'll have my blade to deal with!" yelled Barbossa drawing his sword as Constance swung her stuff at him only to have it blocked. At that moment Matthias walked by and saw them fighting.
"REDWALLLLLLLL!!!!" yelled Matthias pulling out his sword and charging Barbossa thinking he betrayed them. Constance swung her staff again but this time he dodged it and cut the staff in half. Matthias reached the fight just in time to see Barbossa hit Constance on the head with the bottom of his sword and knock her out. Matthias swung his sword at Barbossa and had it flung out of his hand by a swift sword trick of Barbossa. He was knocked on the ground by Barbossa and was held there as he was asked,
"What are ye doing matey? Attacking me and all that!"
"You traitor! You were turning on us!"
"I was not! She whipped out a staff and threatened me so I pulled out me sword and defended myself!"
Then Constance woke up to see Barbossa helping Matthias up. She grabbed her staff to hit him when Matthias said, "stop this right now both of you! No more!"
"Matthias I respect you but he tried flirting with one of the sisters! That is not permitted!"
"Stop Constance let's go let the abbot settle this! And y-!" he stopped mid sentence and looked around, "Were's Barbossa!?"
Barbossa had run off to his room so that they couldn't yell at him,
"Well that was jolly close!"
Awesome! Alf

Ch. Fiveteen
The next day in Redwall Matthias and Constance had decied that if they told the abbot about Barbossa's actions he might send him away from the abbey and they needed his crew for help so they decieded to wait. Constance went to go help the maids in the kitchen while Matthias went to go talk to the troops to keep up morale. Barbossa was on the walls looking northwest just staring. Orlando walked up to him and said,
"What are you looking at pirate?"
"Agutrot.. My home away from home... I just hope it hasn't fallen to Devilrat."
"Ah don't worry I bet the Long Patrol has it protected."
"I hope your right Orlando...." said Barbossa quitely. That night in the Redwall orchard Barbossa was standing next to an apple tree waiting for Elizabeth.
"I wonder where she could be?" he said to himself stroking his wiskers. Then she came out from behind a tree with a black cloak and veil on.
"I'm so sorry i'm late Barbossa I had trouble getting out here I didn't want Constance to see me. You know what she would do." said Elizabeth sitting down next to him.
"Well that wouldn't go well now would it?" he said smiling. She giggled when he said this and replied,
"Oh that wouldn't be good at all."
"Now was every thing fine today?"
"Oh all was fine Barbossa. I had a very good day. How about you?"
"Well you know I had to do all that milatary stuff. It was very boring if you ask me."
"Well that's not fun at all. I've had those days." said Elizabeth moving a little closer to him. "Well it wasn't all that bad. I mean it could have been worse."
"Barbossa I think you work to much."
"Well thats probably true."
"I think you need to rest some. Take a break."
"Well i'll ask Abbot Al-!" said Barbossa mid sentence as she gave him a nice warm kiss. He looked at her and she was blushing. He stroked her hair and they started kissing each other.
They met several times under that apple tree and each time though they almost got caught. But one time in particular was very special. Barbossa was waiting under the tree for Elizabeth.
"I hope she doesn't get caught... Ah there she is." said Barbossa as she showed up in her usual black cloak and veil. She ran up and hugged him then said,
"Oh it's good to see you ok! I was afraid that grumpy old Constance might have caught you."
"Well she won't be finding us anytime soon." said Barbossa as they kissed each other. But right at that moment Constance, Abbot Alf, and Matthias were headed for the orchard to have a private meeting.
"So what did Captain Barbossa do?" asked Alf.
"Well he was in the Great Hall when he-" Constance was interrupted by Matthias saying, "Get down! Constance well look at that! You didn't have to waist your breath! Actions speak louder than words."
They all hid behind an apple tree and saw Barbossa kissing Elizabeth. Abbot Alf was shocked and looked at Matthais and Constance with his mouth wide open.
"That's what he was doing?!"
"In a less uh... Loving sense yes."
"I'll show him a thing or two when he breaks the abbey rules!" said Constance rolling up her sleeves.
"No! Stop Constance!" said Alf as Constance turned around to look at him, "What is it father abbot?"
"Do not lay a paw on him."
"But he!"
"Without me."
Matthias stayed out of the whole thong and went back to his cottage. Meanwhile Constance and Abbot Alf snuck up on Barbossa and Elizabeth. She was leaning her head on Barbossa's shoulder when Constance grabbed Barbossa by the neck, pinned him on a tree and knocked him out. Elizabeth was terrified that Constance found them ad she tried to run but bumped into Alf who said,
"You are in big trouble young lady!"
Lol... I just love Pirates of the Caribbean...but I could never picture Barbossa and Elizabeth... But this is great, Abbot Alf!
I wanted good a corsair and I was low on good names.
ah, well, I still like it!
Thanks ill write more.

Ch. Sixteen
Mattimeo, Tim, and Tess were looking for the old shrine on Mossflower.
"It has to be here somewhere!" said Mattimeo very angry.
"Well if we knew where it was then we wouldn't be out here in the middle of nowhere.!" replied Tim.
"Shut up Tim I don't need this right now!" said Mattimeo.
"Stop both of you! This is getting us nowhere!" said Tess putting a hand on each of their shoulders. They looked in all the places they could think of. They covered every inch of woods on that side of the river Moss and the old quarry.
"Maybe its not on this side of the quarry." suggested Tim. "Well then it wouldn't be hidden. All of the land between the old quarry and the ocean are open plains." said Mattimeo.
"We must sit down and take a break," said Tess, "I'm going to die in this heat." as she sat down on a stone. Then Tim said , "Tess stand up for a minute." As she got up he looked at the stone closely.
"There's writing on it! It says, He who knows the song of Noonvale may enter. Hm... quick! Mattimeo sing that song you where humming.!" Then Mattimeo sang the song that Rose taught him.
"You will find me at Noonvale on the side of a hill,
When the summer is peaceful and high
There where streamlets meander the valley is still,
'Neath the blue of a calm cloudless sky......"
Then the rock began to glow blue and it sunk into the ground and the ground started shaking and stairs appeared into the ground.
"Uh... you can go first Matty!" said Tess hiding behind him. They ventured into the darkness with Mattimeo in the front.....

In Rewdall, Sister Elizabeth was to work in the kitchens as punishment for breaking the abbey rules. Barbossa was locked in his dormitory while he was still unconscious. Only Constance had the key.
"Let me outta here!" yelled Barbossa banging on the doors of his dorm.
"We should probably let him out and warn him not to brake the rules of our abbey again." said Abbot Alf as him, Constance, Orlando, and Matthias walked to Barbossa's room.
"Quite in their!" yelled Orlando banging the door with the bottom of his axe.
"We will let you out if you promise not to break the rules of our abbey again!" said Alf.
"Agreed!"
"Then Constance let him out." As Constance pulled out the keys and unlocked the door Barbossa walked out and said, "Now if you excuse me. I have business to attend to!" as he left for the courtyard. They shook their heads and went back to their duties. Barbossa was on the walls by himself looking out for enemies as Elizabeth went up to him with some lunch,
"Here you go captain."
"I told you to call me-"
"Barbossa. I know but im not supposed to call you that anymore."
"Well i'll show them not to mess with-!"
"Captain. Please don't. I'll be fine..." said Elizabeth as she began to cry and left the walls. Barbossa sighed and ate his lunch. Later he was walking through the orchard when he bumped into Elizabeth. They got and saw Constance coming. Elizabeth wispered, "Forgive me Barbossa." then she slapped him and left. Constance laughed at this and went back to work. Barbossa got over the fact that she had to slap him to get out of trouble.
He was sleeping by the gate one day when he woke up to the sound of metal. He jumped up and saw a hole in the gound.
"Well shiver me timbers. When did that show up?" Then he heard somebeast yell, "RATS!!" He looked at the gate just in time to see three rats open the gate and let the whole army of Devilrat in!
"Ahoy! Redwallers!! The're attackin!" he yelled running for the abbey center. Then the army of Devilrat clashed with the defenders. The battle lasted for hours and was going badly for the Redwallers. Barbossa ran up to Matthias who had just killed some stoats that attacked him and said, "Matthias! We must fall back! We can't hold out!"
Matthias nodded and turned around to see Ragals bash him in the head with a club. It knocked Matthias's helmet off and knocked him out cold. Martin's sword flew through the air and stuck into the ground right in front of Barbossa. He picked it up and heard a voice in his head,
"Barbossa Sparra...Run...Run so that my visions may be true..." He then bolted for the center of the abbey. The vermin were swarming the abbey and killing tons of Redwallers. Barbossa ran into the Great Hall and cut the picture of Martin the Warrior out of the tapastry, folded it up, and put it in a bag. He ran to elizabeth's dorm and banged on the door. She open it knowing it was him adn he grabbed her hand and said,
"We must get out. Redwall will fall. Even Martin has told me."
"But Barbossa!"
"I'm sorry Elizabeth.." said Barbossa taking her hand and running to the back gate. She looked at him and kissed him then they ran from the abbey. They looked back and saw a flag with a red rat on it holding two swords. Then Barbossa looked at her and said,
"Redwall Abbey has fallen...."
Lol...
"Forgive me..." *slap*
I think I've heard that before.
"You will find me at Noonvale..."
*sighs* I love that song. Rose from the TV series...her voice is beautiful.
I know right so how was it?
Redwall Abbey has fallen?
It can't be!
Is Matthias dead? Will you write a sequel where Barbossa and Elizabeth raise an army to reclaim it?
Wait, no, that isn't the end. It can't be, 'cos Matti and Tim and Tess are still out there with the MAW. Right?
I posted book two!
ok sorry for they double post but if you have any questions, concerns, or critisizism then please post it. I would like to know if i should make some changes.
So is this the song....
BTW I finished the first drawing for the first chapter.

Pretty good, and I like how you did Slagar's name backwards for Ragals. But how is he dead? Is there like some creepy necromancer?
yup
Ok guys now I have posted illustrations! Lets thank Leatho Shellhound for all this art!

Sorry!
Well...I don't think he will. He hasn't been on for a long time. :-\
Ok everyone! I will be continuing this fanfic soon and sorry I was AFK for SOOOO long but my account was messed up so I'm here with a new one. Well, great to be back! :)
I'd be more than happy to illustrate your new chapters.
Great! IDE love that!
I really like the creativity in making the name Ragals from Slagar backwards but I have one little problem with the story, in Pearls of Lutra, Rollo burns down St Ninians because it was the camp of Cluny, Slagar and a band of jackdaws. So the outpost doesn't make sense ???. If you haven't read Pearls of Lutra then I understand, but still great story :)
This is before that however
