Redwall has fallen to a united group of vermin, their leader is unknown... few survived the attacked, many died as Redwall crumbled. Only the cowereds made it out unharmed while a handful of fighters lay in hiding with major injuries. It's up to the few survivors to stop the Vermin and their unknown leader before all is lost.

The smoke rose over a thousand feet high, the remains of the abbey were on fire. D looked around for the wounded that might have survived.
Groffel
Groffel leaned on his back, hoping that his next breath would come more easily. he was hiding in a small cavern not far from what used to be Redwall Abbey. noise was coming from outside of the cave, he pulled up the shield to hide himself.
Forgoe came up short at the entrance to a cave, he had heard some commotion over hear earliar...
Martin was hiding among some bushes, hoping that somebeast would find him.
Then a mouse came to the area where the bushes were and looked around, " I thought I saw some movement here..."
"Heeeelp... meee!"
The mouse then pulled out a double-bladed sword and said, "are you one of the vermin that burned my home!?"

BIC: Jazz sat in the bushes her leg tormented her like mad tears ran down her face her little sister had gotten crushed by the battlements, hearing the cry for help she turned towards another spot in the bushes knowing other were injured some far worse than the gouge in her leg, her half cut off ear and her singed hind-paw. gathering herself up she headed for the creature who had cried for help.
Groffel
Pulling out his dirk Groffel leaned closer, still hidden in the shadows of the cavern. "It must be the vermin... coming back for me!" He thought. He saw the character, it was just morning and still hard to see. Jumping at full speed he lunged, the dirk in his hand.
Forgoe had keen sight, and saw the flash of the blade as Groffel made his move. The Peregrine powerfully lofted himself into the air a few feet up and came crashing down on top of the badger.
Groffel
Groffel was sure now... he had a few broken rips, one might have pierced his lungs because it was getting harder to breath. The enemy was a bird of some, it came down with its metal covered claws onto his back. thankfully he had put the shield there for protection.
Fargoe could see his opponent now... It was a badger! He squaked out, "Me'ssa a frien! Me'ssa a frieeen!"
Groffel
"ugh, goosh" he said, his words not coming out clearly because of his broken jaw. rolling over onto his stomach again he looked at the bird. "hi ya"
Jazz has seen the flash of a blade knowing they were friends she drug herself out of cover,
"Hello," she said looking at the torn up creatures before her,
"Are there any other survivors?"
OOC: Groffel will be speaking sloppy till his broken jaw gets better.
BIC:
Groffel
"Jwazz!!" he yelled, seeing a fellow warrior he lead in previous fights and had the honor of defending Redwall Abbey with for the last time. He tried to stand up, but his broken leg prevented him.
Forgoe sighed with relief, "*Whew!* I glad the badger unnerstand I'm no enemy!"

He wondered around for a bit looking in the ruble. The bodies still lay there, either crushed by the fallen Abbey or sliced by the edge of a blade. He picks up a small backpack (empty) and a slingshot that he found. D was walking toward the forest when he heard something. Jumping back instantly he picked up a stone and fired it into the bush.
OOC: He shot at Martin, but he didn't know.
"YOWCH! HELP! HELP! I'M BEING ATTACKED! HELP!"

"AHH" he yelled seeing that it was martin. "are you ok? can you move?"
"groffel how are you? and what is with my mew nickname?" in the dark Jazz couldn't see his injuries, " You ok? hurt? sleepy? what?" She asked when he didn't get up.
Groffel
"oh well i gots some broken dwibs, a broken jaw and my leg is broken alsho, so same old same old." he joked "hows be you? are you alright?"
"Perfectly fine," She felt bad lying to him so added "Compared to you at least the first is that jaw i can't help you with your leg but that lisp thing has got to go but i kinda like the sound of jawzz!" she laughed imitating his voice.
Groffel
He gave her a seriousness look, then broke the tension with a quick burst of laughter. His pain was over whelming and he fell onto his back, unconscious
"Darn you Groffel how on earth am i going to lug a badger over twice my size?" Jazz complained looking at his leg.
"With some help?" Forgoe responded to a question he new was rhetorical.
"I can't move my footpaw and my shoulder his aching bad; and with that the stone I received on my paw!" He sighed.
Who goes there!" said a strange voice

"better question, who are you?" he said while pulling out his dirk.
I'm Matthias II, mapper of Redwall now who are you?" said a mouse stepping out from behind some trees garbed in a green habit with an axe on his back.
"I am Martin, the Abbey Warrior!" Martin said painfully. "And I am wounded."
Well then why are you not headed for the Abbey? I'm head there now." said Matthias getting a better grip on his pack.

"And I am D, a fighter and defender of what used to be Redwall Abey." he said, a little shame in his voice because he fled once the attack began
"I cannot move, I am wounded. And there is nothing left of it!" Martin said sadly.

D walked over to a pile of rubble. finding some string and pieces of wood he walked back over to martin.
placing some sticks around martins injured paw he took the string and tied them to it, making a cast . then he grabbed a larger branch that split at one end a gave him it to lean on.
OOC: @martin: now you have a crutch and a cast around your foot, making you able to walk better.
Matthias gasped falling on the ground, " It's.... Gone.... All.... Gone.... My home...."
OOC: OK
BIC: Martin started walking towards the remainsof the abbey. "My sword was stolen by vermin!" He said tears rolling down his cheeks. "Fellow Rewallers have died! The Abbey has been destroyed! Why did this happen to us? WHY?"

"no, now dont cry..... my father once told me home is where you make it... and that when your with friends and family home is with them.." he said while trying to comfort the stranger.
But Redwall was all I had..." said Matthias.
"What are we going to do?"
Nothing..."

"what are we going to do? i will tell you what we are going to do." he said feeling better about himself. "we are going to find the other survivors, thats what we are going to do. first things first."
"Lead on then!"
Matthias puuled his axe of his back and said,"REDWALL!!!!!!" swinging the axe in the air.
"What are you doing?"

"Quite you fool!" he said "we dont know if any of the vermin are doubling back to finish us off!"
Well excuse me Mr. Big strong warrior who ran away from protecting Mossflower's safe house!"

Shame crossed his face, but he wiped it away quickly.
"your excused you rude rodent!" he said while walking up to martin
"we need to find the others, and get somewhere safe... we dont know if the vermin are coming back and i see a storm coming from the north..." he whispered in martin's ear.
Well... We could go to nNinians and set up our base of operations there if we plan on checking the abbey for survivors." said Matthias sharpening his axe.
OOC: have they destroyed St. Ninians too?

"we have no time we have to find the others... right now"

"I think I saw movement over there!" Martin said, pointing at a cave.
Matthias slowly crept up to the cave entrance and branched his axe. Then he jumped in saying, "halt in the name of Redwall!"

Then inside the cave was a family of shrews all cowering against the wall.
OOC: no there are no other survivors from Redwall Abbey, sorry... please dont make anything like that because all have died except for the people in this RP.

D closed his eyes and shooked his head. "well Redwall has been destroyed, only a few have survived and the enemy is going on to destroy what ever is in its path... but besides that nothing at all." he thought.

"sir falcon, please forgive this rodent... he was... erghh.. dropped on his head at an early age." D said, trying to get the Falcon into a more relaxed mood. "watch your tongue mouse!" he whispered

moaning and rolling on the ground slowly.

Jazz walked over to the stream nothing was going to get done with groffel unconscious, she cupped her hands filled them with water and dumped them on his face hoping to wake him.

"Ahh!" he yelled jumping up. once up he fell back down, his broken leg screaming in pain. "what happened!?!"
"We need to build a fire before it is dark!"
Groffel
"no! no fire.. it will give away our position to the vermin they might come back."
Yup he is right," said Matthias eating an apple

"Uh can we all carry him if we try hard together?" Jazz asked looking at the ground she thought she had just made the stupidest comment of the year they can't lift a badger what was she saying?

Matthias thought that this was all nonesense so took a nap.

"what a lazy bumb" he said referencing to the mouse (hes a mouse right?)
"leave me, i will crawl back in he cave tonight, Jazz will you acompany me incase someone returns? the rest of you come back in the morning and we will start from there." he said while wheezing for air.
MAtthias woke up and said, "Well excuse me! I was just takin' a nap!"

The peregrine in the background was quizzical, "Why does all a' you fight with each other 'er? You be friends right?"

"uh the bird? friends argue all the time it's part of what makes you different and get along somehow, and sure groffel you can't do much without someone else in case they come back, i still can't believe it the entire abbey gone!" Jazz sighed leaning against a tree

"she's right.. for now we might argue and act bitter, but in the end all is the same because we fight for each other, not fight each other." Groffel said
Jazz sighed how was he going to lug his weight through the forest on a broken wait?

D looked at Groffel's wounds. "i will fix your up in the morning." he said while going off with the others
Martin settled down painfully for the night. "Good night!"
day time came shortly. the group all met at one spot and D fixed everyones wounds and got them ready for a trip to his uncles hut far into the swamps.
So what's the plan?" asked Matthias.
"Find this uncle person i guess." Jazz said her leg fixed but still painful to walk on.

"if anyone knows how to get one-hundred percent healthy so we can chase down these vermin and get our vengeance, its my uncle."
Well let's get going!"

he led them to the beginning of the swamps. "here is where you should turn around if you dont want to die fighting for freedom and vengeance." he took a step into the swamps.
"Kraaaauuuck! I me'bbe not fighting for vengence, but I sure will fight for jus'ice!"
"Let's go!" Martin followed D in the swamps
bugs were every where, bothering them. the swamps tested them day in and day out to the point of almost breaking them. it seamed like days but in fact it was only eight hours before the group set for camp.

Martin was sitting down against a tree apart from the group, when he heard a rustling sound. He was about to turn, when something grabbed him and knocked him out.
OOC: thanks for that redwaller, please dont mind if i play as the person who knocked you out
BIC:
a shadowy character knocked Martin uncosios and caried him away.

"noooo!!!" he yelled while jumping up the best he could. running after the creature at full speed. (his full speed is slower because of his injuries.)

he heard the commotion and grabbed everyone's attention and started to run for Martin as well.
"Youse all staya hear! I get the blaggurt!" The peregrine had already made up half the distance to Martin and the strange creature.
OOC: Griffen, what is the creature?
OOC: you'll see ;) and Andrew your in the swamps your falcon can't fly in here... its to dense.
BIC: the group chased violently for him, the creature was still runing and soon crossed a old bridge to a little cabin covered in ivy.
