Mine are otters.
You forgot voles!
Anyway, since the voles aren't there, moles are my least favorite.
Are you crazy! otters are awesome.
im just not so crazy bout em
Voles
I would say voles but since they are not there i chose shrews. I actually like shrews its just that they argue a lot and thats just my least favorite out of the list.
well i thought vole were a type of mouse
they are a different species i think..i actually like voles too just not particular annoying ones
I like them all!
I voted shrews because voles weren't an option. Shrews I like a teeny bit less than the others. I don't like their lack of mercy sometimes.
AbbotAlf0805, the otters rock! Oh well, everyone has opinions. The Gawtribe from Martin the Warrior was bad anyway but I hated them.
The squirrels. They always had a tendancy to see things in black and white, never the shades of gray that the mice did. Also, some were so sure and full of themselves: like Felldoh and Mr. Reguba (Dannflor's father).

The squirrels were the best species by far! Rakkety Tam killed a Wolverine, Song was a great Abbess and Singer, Dannflower Reguba was honorable, Arven was everything that the Abbey ever had! Triss was a great friend, and that's just a few of 'em! I'm waiting for voles.
(modified) The badgers are the ones who are full of themselves, were did you ever come up with the idea that squirrels were full of themselves?! It's not fair to judge those who were in anguish, Dannflors' father lost his wife, Felldoh spent his life as a slave, they were angry NOT full of themselves.
Well, I don't care for quite a few of them so I didn't vote. One of my least favourite is badgers. They're always too powerful.
Another one I don't like is voles, cause they're always sour and unpleasant and sometimes they're traitors.
rabbits also
Why does everyone stereotype voles as grumpy and irritable and occasionally traitorous? There are plenty of good voles who help the story and are good friends, like Burble and the vole tribes from Taggerung and Triss.
true ^ that is right but i guess they just dont appeal to me they are sometimes just dont have the spark that other creatures have for me
Voles are USAULLY very bland characters... Not always but very often.
Moles are my least favourite.
Since I read more books since the time I posted, voles are my least favorite. Voles are usually grey characters. The one in Eulalia! was the worst so far.

But not all the Voles were bad (though most of them were annoying). Like the ones in Taggerung.

my thoughts exactly :)
Shrews :-X
Voles, they can be deceitful some times.

I don't like their character. Even the ones in the Abbey were usually grouchy.
Mice, there are too many mice heroes WHY NOT GIVE THE OTHER SPECIES' A CHANCE YOU SWORD HOGGING IDIOTS? *Ahem* i did like some mice Luke and Martin obviously, also Dandin, Mariel and Gonff basically I like the early mice

Hey, I never thought of that! Why are most of the hero's mice?
I can't stand badgers. The majority of them are too violent and don't listen to reason.
I'm also not very fond of most of the hares and shrews, and there were a few otters I couldn't stand. Eh, I guess I'm more of a vermin kind of girl.
T=Voles...they are traitors (most of the time.
on a whole i don't like voles (only in redwall in real life i like voles) but i did like the vole in Marlfox though ::) :P :-*

OK easy now we don't want a full scale war breaking out though it is uncalled for to call mice sword hogging idiots it was after all a mouse how the sword was made for :P

Yes it was made for a mouse but that doesn't mean all the ones who wield it have to be mice too and I have put that I do like most of the early mice but I prefer vermin anyway

Then it looks like both Mice and Squirrels who hogged the sword. Why not give moles a chance? They are very rarly ever hero's or warriors. The only time that I can think of a warrior mole was that one in The Sable Quean (can't remember his name). Even if moles are my least favourite good guy spieces, I wish they got more chances of being hero's.

Most champions are mice not all but yeh i agree on the squirrels
Hares and otters also wielded the sword of Martin, It might have been nice if some hedgehogs, shrews, or badgers wielded the sword too.
It would have been too small for a badger

Axtel Sturnclaw (spelling?)
Excuse me? The sword is handed to the one most worthy (obviously showing why I like squirrels so much :P) Moles are more peaceable, badgers are too large for Martin's sword, Voles are wimps, Hedgehogs are too slow, leaving the three main good guy species.
BTW There weren't a LOT of squirrel wielders: Samkim, Triss, Dannflower Reguba, Rakkety Tam, Arven. 6 is not a lot.
@Romsca: You nailed the spelling.
@Everyone: There is no such thing as "hogging" Martin's sword, Martin chooses who it goes to, and when, are you trying to say that Martin doesn't know what he's doing? Are you VERMIN!!??! ;D

You know I am :D! And the best type of vermin, too!
voles
Why doesn't anyone like voles?
Some may be a bit grumpy at times, but some, like Burble from Marlfox, Rollo from Mattimeo and Pearls of Lutra, and Lettie from Mattimeo, were very brave creatures with big hearts.

More like there are more mouse champions than any other creature, but the others put together just barely out number the mice.
Ah'm goin' tae ztay neutral for ziz vone. zoundz like ve are aboot tae 'ave a war, and ve are nae even in a zread aboot vermin!
