BIC: Toka opened his eyes slowly. He was looking up at a ceiling he thought he recognised.
He groaned, and rolled onto his side, the side that was not throbbing. The room he was in was dark, and quiet big. He could hear the breathing of other creatures. He also thought he saw the shapes of another creature in a bed across the room.
Toka felt so ill, he didn't even care that he was in a bed. He just lay there, breathing, in pain.

Perry also woke up, he was in a guest room at Redwall Abbey. He sat up, and rubbed his eyes. He could see sunlight just wanting to burst through the curtains.
Perry got out of bed, and crossed the room. Upon reaching the window, he threw open the curtains. Sunlight flooded into the room, and outside was completely white.
Arya woke up, toasty warm, in a bed, with a red ceiling above her head. She shot up, then remembered what had happened yesterday. She wondered if it was too early to get up, or if she was supposed to stay in bed, or what.
Perry looked out of the window with a feeling of pure delight. It was so beautiful!
He actually had no idea what to do now. He didn't even know what time it was.
Arnath rolled over in bed. She had insisted that she slept in the infirmary to stay close to Toka. "Good morning, You are awake," She said When she heard Toka. She hoped that he was in a better mood this morning. He had not been in a good shape when she had found him.

Raxanna Marched in front of the men. They had been going all night and now she could see the bell tower threw the trees. The lite of the rising sun making it glow blood red. That was the place in the riddle. This was where she would find answers.
Toka realised it was Arnath, and smiled ever so slightly. Then panic filled him, "Where's my sword?" He demanded, trying to sit up, but fell back down onto the matrass swearing as pain swept over.
"Don't worry I hid it under your bed. The sister didn't notice," She said with a grin,
Toka sighed in relief, and let himself relax a little. "So, now what?" He asked, his eyes closed.
"I don't know you where the one who wanted to come here," She said
Arya walked over to the window, and peered out. Just then, the door opened, and the Abbey Sister Anise poked her head in, not realizing that she had startled Arya so badly that if she had her sword in her paws it would be at the Sister's neck. "Good morning." She said pleasantly."Good morning." Arya replied guardedly. The Sister hesitated, then continued. "Er, breakfast will be served in a few minutes...Perhaps you'd like to wake your companion? He's acrosss the hall...." She said, then withdrew her head, shutting the door gently. The creature that Anise thought was her companion could only be Perry, Arya realized. She sighed and threw off the night gown (She hated those things) and put on her regular clothes, that had apparantly been laundered. That done, she walked across the hall and knocked on Perry's door.
Kaijo Helmos' first thought when he woke up was Huh, I'm not dead followed quickly by Where in the name of all that is holy am I? he could hear quiet voices somewhere across the room. He opened his eyes and looked in the direction of the voices, there was a mouse and a strange looking squirrel, the latter was lying in bed. Kaijo sat up, folded up on the end of his bed were his tunic (which was slashed to ribbons) and his cloak (which was mercifully undamaged), lying across the top of them was his sword. The caracal climbed out of bed, wincing as he put pressure on his right leg. He reached for his sword and grasped it by one of the crossbars, using it to take the pressure off his injured leg. Feeling a slight restriction in his arm, he looked down to see that his upper arm had bandages wrapped tightly around it. After a quick examination of his body he found that he was covered in many such bandages. Sighing, he made his way towards the door. He cursed quietly as his blade clinked against the stone floor, he had hoped to get out of the room unnoticed
Arnath sat up, She heard the creature in the bed across the room get up and struggle to the door. Again she was unable to place what he was which puzzled her greatly but she could tell that he was in pain and having trouble walking.
"You need help?" She asked.
Kaijo shook his head "No I'm fine" he continued limping towards the door, pausing for a second he turned around "You don't know where my wife is do you? Lynx, tall, carries a crossbow, wears a purple tunic, speaks with a strange accent? Smile brighter than the noonday sun, light on her paws, muscly, know her?"
OOC: He can't tell she's blind from this distance
Arnath paused "Linx," She said slowly ignoring irrelevant pieces of information and only taking in the ones that mattered. Light on her paws strange accent. She did not know what a Linx was "Is that like a cat? I think I met her yesterday but I don't know where she is now," She said.
Marshall had gotten no sleep. There were rings under his eyes. He just COULD NOT sleep! He got out if bed a tad early, and went to the kitchens, where he could smell delicious food!
Toka hadn't answered Arnath, he didn't have anything to say. He did however, watch the strange cat across the room, and listen to the conversation between him, and Arnath.
"Um, Arnath?" Toka spoke unusually quietly, "Where are my clothes, and bag?"

Perry had just finished getting dressed, when he heard a gentle knock on his door. "Come in." He called, just finishing tying his shoelace.
Arnath thought about this for a moment and then said "I have good hearing but my hearings not that good," She said with a giggle. "It might be at the foot of the bed,"
"Alright." Toka nodded, and sat up slowly. Gritting his teeth, he eventually was up, and yes, there were his things.
Toka threw off the blankets, and stood up shakily, but he managed it. Then he quickly threw off the stupid nightgown thing he was in, and got dressed in his own clothes. Which for some odd reason, were clean.
"I am glade you are feeling better today," She said she decided not to ask any questions about the day before. Toka would probably just shut her out.
"Well if you don't count the ******* pain in my head, and side then I'm fine." Toka groaned, as he knelt on the floor, and looked for his sword under the bed.
"Good," She said choosing to ignore the language. "We should go down to breakfast The sister told me I could go down there to eat but she wanted you to have you meal in here, But if we leave now then I think we can get down there before she returns,"
Toka raised an eyebrow, his face the picture of cynical displeasure. Of course this was wasted on Arnath, "Ok, as I see it, my options are limited. Either I act like an invalid, and stay in here. Or I have to actually to go, and be with real, live creatures. Can't I just eat outside?" Underneath his rebellious, and rude tone there was almost pleading. He genuinely didn't like being with other creatures, and having to have a meal with an Abbey full of them seemed like a nightmare come true to Toka.
"I am sure I can get something from the kitchen," She said noting the hint of dread in his voice. "I'll say that I was going to bring it up to you. We can meet in the orchard," She said getting out of bed and taking up her stick. She still needed it to get up and down the many stairs there where in the abbey.
"You don't have to come. Its cold outside, and it may still be snowing. I'll climb into a tree or something." Toka said, really hoping Arnath would stay indoors. He just wanted to be alone for a bit.
"We will see," she said "I'll bring you the food," It was not because of Toka that she wanted to be out side but because she preferred it out there in the orchard to in side. It sounded odd and loud at times. She was not used to the noise and it confused her at times. She left the room and headed towards the kitchen without waiting for him to argue.

Toka was about to argue, but then Arnath left. So, he just sat on the edge of the bed, looking around at the darkened room.
"You're welcome. I don't know if I'll be able to find it, either. Shall we get lost together?" She joked.
"Alright then." Perry smiled, and walked across the room to the door.
Marshall wobbled around the kitchens, trying to stay awake. He munched on a scone he stole, the went and sat down. He was wrapped in a blanket.

Arya opened the door wider, and stepped out of the way. She didn't if she should say anything, or just be quiet, and if she should say something, what it ought to be. She hadn't really spent much time around other beasts.
As Perry past Arya, he quickly glanced at himself in a mirror across the room. He winced at the bright black, and blue bruises around his throat. That guy yesterday had been strong, he was dangerous, he was messed up.
Arya noticed his wince, and bit her lip. "Um...How's your neck? I do have to say that it doesn't look too pretty. Maybe I could fix your collar to hide some of them?" She offered, albeit nervously.
Arnath made her way down the hall and passed Arya and Perry on her way she let a small smile slip across her face. they sounded sweet together. She made her way down the stairs without any trouble and after asking a brother for directions she found herself in the kitchen.
Marshall has finished the scone and had started on some pear cordial. Breakfast had began and more people were sitting down to eat. Nobody came and sat by him, only looked at him in a strange way.
Tauten woke up in a large, soft bed. He lay there for awhile, listening to the voices of people outside the door. After awhile, he decided to go downstairs and have breakfast. Tauten passed Arya and Perry chatting on the way down, and made a point of ignoring Arya. Once he reached the kitchen, he grabbed a mug of a cold raspberry drink, which he supposed was some kind of Cordial, and a large scone. He took a seat next to Marshall, who looked a little lonely. "G'morning." Tauten said, taking a sip of his drink.
Perry gazed at the mirror, and at the obvious bruises. "If you don't mind, could you."
Arnath got a tray of breakfast food for two form one of the kitchen helpers and made her way out the back door into the chill morning air. She took a deep breath and made her way over to the orchard.
Arya stepped forward, and started fussing with Perry's collar. A few minutes later, she stepped back. " There! What do you think?" She asked. The bruises were almost completely covered.
Perry looked at himself in the mirror again, and nodded, satisfied. "Thanks."

It had been easy for Toka to get outside. He'd had to hide from on or two Abbey people, but that had been simple. Now he was outside, sitting in an ash tree, admiring the magnificent Abbey.
"You're welcome." Arya replied, then bit her cheek.
Marshall gazed at him.
" Well, g' mornin t' ya but not such a good one for me ."
Arnath stood under the trees, stopped and listened. She took a deep breath this was where she belonged. She went over and sat down under that tree that Toka sat in. "I brought you breakfast," She said taking her cup of hot tea and taking a sip.
Toka was about to ask how she knew he was here, but didn't bother. "What'd you get?" He asked instead, climbing out of the tree. A random branch stabbed him in his wounded side, Toka swore, and almost fell out of the tree. Then, since he wasn't far from the ground, he just jumped into a pile of snow.

Perry, decided standing here looking like an idiot was not the best thing to do said, "Shall we go for breakfast then?"
"Oh, sure." Arya said, blushing, and now biting her lower lip. Biting random places of her mouth was a habit she had when she was nervous. Then a thought struck her - Lots of other beasts would be at breakfast. She turned a funky color, and bit her lip harder.
"Are you ok?" Perry asked, walking past Arya out into the hall, "You've gone a funny colour."
"Not exactly." Arya said, leaning against the wall. "You know, I think I might just skip breakfast...."
"Ok, then." Perry was utterly, and completely confused now. "Um, I'll find my own way there then."
Perry nodded, then he set off down the hall, hoping he wouldn't get lost.
"Alrifght. I'll explain later." Arya called at Perry's back, then she ran and locked hersel fin her room.
"Well, that was weird." Perry said to himself. Then he spotted the stairs going down into Great Hall, and he thankfully ran down them.
Arya sagged against the door, half relieved, and half ashamed of herself. Then she steeled her nerves, unlocked and opened the door, stepped out....And went back in and shut it. "I can't do this." She whispered to herself.
Perry soon found himself in the kitchen, being served. Then, being the official creature he was, he went, and sat in Cavern Hole with the Redwallers, and was soon in deep discussion with them.
Arya took in a deepo breath, and blew it out, closing her eyes. Then she opened the door, opened it, and went out, her eyes closed. She shut the door. "No going back." She muttered, then set out, her face still a funky color.
OOC: There's not much I can really do now. :P
OOC: Hold up.
BIC: Artya somehow found her way to the kitchen, and got served. Then she followed some other beast to Cavern Hole, and looked around for Perry, or someone she knew. Tauten was out of the question. So, Perry it was.
OOC: Okay, now he looks up and sees her! :P
Arnath winced at the sound of his pain and then answered his question with, "Lets see we have hot chamomile tea, scones with jam and honey, oatmeal with fruit, and I asked specially for some candied chestnuts"
As Perry was eating, and talking, he looked up to see Arya. His smile was so dazzling, it brightened up the room. He made a hand motion meaning, come, and sit over here.

"Tea? Candied chestnuts? And, ******* scones?" Toka spluttered, as he climbed out of the snow drift. "Is that it?"
Arya, looking scared half to death and flinching whenever some beast said Good morning, or hello, made her way to Perry, and sat down.
IF Arnath could she would have rolled here eyes. "What else do you expect from breakfast," She said. She could put up with a lot of Toka's attitude but this was just getting ridiculous and she was not going to let him act like a spoiled child. "If you don't want yours I will be happy to give it to some one who wants it. Plus these are not just any scones they are abbey scones. Haven't you heard anything about abbey food?"
"Oh?" said Tauten curiously. "Might I ask, why not?"
Marshall just stared at him while he finished his drink.
" No sleep ya see, just was in me bed until dawn."
He yawned, then accidentally picked up Tauten's drink and started to sip it.
Perry smiled, and offered Arya the seat next him. "Come, and sit down here, Arya. Are you feeling better now?"

"Well, maybe I'd expect food that wasn't for a ******* child. And no, I haven't heard a ******* thing about ******* Abbey, ******* food." Toka sneered. He was in a bad mood, all he wanted was to be alone, his side hurt, his head hurt, just...........BLEHMHEEEDTGJKJ!
"Thank you." Arya squeaked, sitting down. "Not particularly. It's other creatures." She explained, unconsciously hunching her shoulders.
"Don't worry. No one's gonna bite. Just try.....talking to people. Maybe you could ask with help with your riddle or something." Perry suggested.
"Maybe." She squeaked, forcing herself to take a bite of food. Her paw shook for a moment, then she forced it under control.
Perry noticed her discomfort. Wow she's unconfident. Poor girl, she mustn't have spent much time with other creatures.
Perry took hold of Arya's free paw, and squeezed it affectingly. "Its ok." He smiled.
Arya was startled, but left Perry take her paw. "Is it?" She murmured, staring at her food.
"Yes, it is." Perry's smile widen, and kindness filled his eyes.
Arnat made a face "Well then what do you think is proper breakfast food?" She said she for one quite liked what they had served and it was better than anything she had ever eaten before. She could not comprehend why Toka was having such a problem.
Arya calmed down a fraction, and took another bite of food.
Toka was momentarily at a loss, "Something warm at least in this weather!"

Perry, satisfied, went back to eating himself.
Arya noticed Perry hadn't let go of her paw, but she didn't mind, as she took her third or fourth bite.
"The scones and the oatmeal is quite warm so is the tea," She said glad she had made her point and hoped he would now sit and eat or at least eat at the very most.
Tauten laughed and pulled his drink back. "You weren't kidding. Maybe you should go back to bed."
Marshall stared at the drink for a bit then replied.
" I think I'm good. Not goin insan though."
He stole another scone from a mouse who had gone to help in the kitchens. Poor Marshall, foxes need their sleep.
Perry suddenly realized he was still holding Arya's hand. It quickly, probably too quickly pulled it back.

Toka tried to think of some way to argue back, but couldn't think of anything. He was too hungry.
He stormed over, and snatched two scones, and some tea.
Arya jumped at the motion, her eyes flicking to Perry, but the movement was small and unnoticeable. She continued eating, her eyes now scanning the big room.
Throughout all this time, Kaijo had left the infirmary and gotten himself lost. Well not lost per se, he had a vague idea where he was going. When troubled both he and Misak had the tendency to seek higher ground, that was what he was doing now. He reached a set of stairs hidden away in a corner, they were wooden and not stone as all those bellow were, he presumed that they were the last in the building. The caracal mounted the stairs, limping up them to find himself in a spacious attic. "I'd recognize those footsteps anywhere, even when you are limping" Misak was lying on her back in the center of the room, eyes closed and hands folded underneath her head. Kaijo grinned mischievously "And I, likewise, would recognize your footsteps... if you got off your lazy *** and made them" Misak chuckled
"How cruel you must be" Kaijo sighed dramatically
"Alas such is love, it makes wrongdoers of us all"
"Actually the phrase is liars"
"Yes but I didn't lie, perhaps I should have done"
"It would have been more appropriate" there was silence for a while "How do you feel?" Kaijo sat down beside her
"Like I was mauled by a bear" he admitted
"In actual fact it was just a horde of primitives"
"Troglodytes"
"Indeed"
"Though we can consider ourselves no better if we hide away up here"
"How very true"
"You don't seem to be moving"
"Interesting, perhaps I am a troglodyte" The corner of Kaijo's mouth quirked up
"Yes but you're my troglodyte"
"Yes, and you are my sophisticate" Kaijo chuckled
"I'm not sure how I feel about belonging to a barbarian such as you"
"And I am not sure how I feel about belonging to a civilized beast like yourself"
"Interesting, it would seem we shouldn't be married"
"True, unless we're lying"
"My dear, would I lie to you?" She looked fondly at him
"Love makes liars of us all"
OOC: SO CUTE!
BIC: Perry had soon finished his breakfast, and thought about getting talking with some of the Abbey beasts. Maybe they could help him with his riddle.
Arya was picking at her food now, not really hungry any more. She sighed, thinking.
Perry cleared his throat, then spoke to the mouse next to him, "Um, excuse me friend, what do you know how riddles?" Perry handed over the riddle, and the mouse examined it, then exclaimed rather loudly, "Hmmm, I don't know much about riddles. Why, is this the reason you came to our good Abbey."
OOC: Exceeded PM limit, by the way.
BIC: Arya came alert. "Riddles? I have one., too." She said, and started fishing in a pocket.
OOC: Darn. Shouldn't have PMed hello to everyone.
BIC: Other Abbey beasts heard what the mouse said, and all started to ask to look at the riddle, and to see if they could help. Very quickly, Perry lost his riddle, and was being bombarded with answers, and suggestions.
OOC: IKR? Nice duck face, by the way.
BIC: Arya giggled at the face Perry was making, then got her riddle out of her pocket. "Perhapssomeofyouwouldliketohelpme?" She said very quickly, trying to attract some of their attention, and keep it away from Perry.
Several abbeybeasts all grabbed for the paper at the same time, all ready to help.
"Gah!" Arya squeaked, startled. She jumped, and in doing so, fell off the bench. "Ow." She muttered, siting up and shaking her head.
"Are you alright?" Perry asked, offering a hand to help Arya up.
OOC: *Arya. Confusing, I know.
BIC: Arya blushed. "Yeah." She said as she grabbed Perry's wrist and stood up. Then she very timidly scooched the slate across the table to the Abbeydwellers, some of who, and been going around the table to help her.
Raxanna halted the march. There was the place in the riddle. The place that would lead her to the treasure and the rest of the map. "Stop here no fires and keep quiet till I return," She said. She then selected two vermin to accompany her.
OOC:@Corny *silently screams* BRAIN CAN'T TAKE IT!!!!!
BIC: Perry, being the innocent, kind type, didn't notice some of the winks, and looks the Abbeydwellers were giving each other, and whispering, and pointing.

Toka munched the food very quickly, then grabbed for more. He'd forgotten how hungry he was, and after his long time in a freezing cold cell, his appetite was enormous.
Arnath smiled. He was finally listening. Or at least seeing sense. his manners were not the best but she did not stop him. He wouldn't listen anyway.

Raxanna stood near the wall looking up at the massive structure. She had warned the two vermin that she had chosen to stay quiet and use stealth. If they slipped up their death would be on their heads. They circled the wall staying out of sight looking for a weakness. Anything that would give her and advantage.
OOC: @Rach: What on earth do you mean?
BIC: Even if Perry was oblivious to all the winks, nudges, so on and so forth, Arya wasn't, and her face and neck turned as red as a tomato. Which of course only encouraged them.
OOC: Um, I think you got what I meant by your last post.
BIC: Toka suddenly turned towards one of the walls. His highly sensitive ears were picking something very, very faint up. It quite possibly was a bird, but.......oh what did it matter!?!

Perry saw Arya turn the colour of a beetroot, and leaned over. "Are you sure your ok?"
OOC: Oh, that. gotcha.
BIC: "Do all the whispers, nudges, elbowing, and so on and so forth not bother you?" She asked, turning even redder.
Perry looked around, "What do you mean?"
Arya stared at Perry, amazed. "Wow. Can you not tell? She asked, the redness fading she she blinked incredulously.
Arnath heard it too her keen ears piking up the sound from the other side of the wall but unlike Toka she knew it was not a bird. However she had been a bit confused ever since she came to the abbey, sound jumped around differently so she thought she might be mistaken. Then she realized that Toka had heard it too and knew that there was no mistake. She stood up "Toka, there's someone out there," She said Quietly, Starting towards the noise.
"Where?" Toka whispered, taking a few steps forward.
Arya pushed her plate away, still waiting for Perry's answer.
Raxanna looked up to the wall and after seeing that there was no beast at watch She motioned to the two to stay back and out of sight and went over to the wall gate inspecting it quietly.

Arnath pointed in the direction of the wall gate. "behind the wall, Over there," She said keeping her voice down. She strained her ears and heard it again as she got closer and was able to pick out the sound of a female's foot fall and a noise on wood. A tree? or more like a door.
Tauten looked at Marshalls Scone, then grabbed one of his own.
Perry shrugged, "I guess not."

Toka unsheathed his sword, and walked silently towards the gate, death on his mind now.
Arnath started at the sound of drawn steal "Put that away! We don't know who it is," She said warningly.

Raxana stopped as her sharp ears picked up the faint sound of a sword being drawn. She withdrew and signaled to the others to keep quiet and counsel themselves.
Toka wasn't listening, he just slowly made his way forward. He had now made it to the gate, and was slowly unlocking it.
Arnath fallowed close behind but did not argue. She just hoped that if the creature was fried she would not be hurt.

Raxanna hid herself behind some bushes and a tree out of sight and the other two his themselves as well. There was no time to run they would have to wait.
Toka suddenly flung the gate open, and jumped to the side, his body pressed against the wall. He signalled Arnath to get back, forgetting she was blind.
The gate slammed open and Toka jumped to the side. Arnath stood still and listened. To any other creature it would seem as if the forest was silent but to the blind mouse it was alive with sound. A slight wind blew and the trees creaked and the few dead leaves that still clung to the trees rattled on the branches. sound ringing in winters still. bushes and stone all playing a part in the music, yet there was another sound she header that most would not have noticed. Soft faint breathing and slight movement not of one beast but of three. two where louder and bigger but one was soft and hard to hear even for her.
Toka was furious, why wasn't Arnath moving? Oh yeah, she was blind, darn!
"Arnath." Toka half mouth, half whispered, "Get out of here."
Arnath heard him and realized that he could see them and moved to the other side.

Raxanna stood still dagger drawn and held close to her chest ready if they came to close.
OOC: I think you mean dagger.
BIC: Toka breathed deeply, and decided to go outside the gate.
Slowly, very slowly, he looked round the corner, he could see pawprints in the snow. At least three of them. He could take that many. But then he banged his side on the wall, and he fell back swearing at the pain. He could do this, he could do this, he could do this.
Raxanna Waited and smiled it was only one and he was hurt, this would be easy. However her plotting mind would prefer that her presence stay secret.

Arnath heard Toka stumble and she rushed forwarded. This was a bad idea. "Please, just leave it," She said puling at his tunic.

Toka pushed Arnath roughly away, (that ok?), and hissed between gritted teeth, "Get out of the mouse. I can handle myself."

"What's that meant to mean?" Perry inquired, a smile hovering around his lips.
Arnath fell back into the snow. She had realized that they where hiding. They hadn't moved and they where trying to conceal their breathing. Toka probably couldn't see them.
"Woodlanders are sharp, alert, and notice things others may not." Arya explained, hoping it didn't sound rude.
Toka was preparing to go out of the gate, when suddenly he heard someone calling to him.
Yeah, you! What are you doing over by that gate!?!"
Toka turned, and saw a young otter, probably still in his teens. "Get the **** lost, waterdog!" Toka hissed. But the otter wouldn't back down, "Who are you calling waterdog, bushtail!" He yelled.
Toka gritted his teeth, why couldn't the stupid beast shut up?

Magnus had been ice skating on the pond that morning, and decided to go for a walk afterwards. It had been then he had seen Toka, and Arnath. That was when he had began shouting at the squirrel. He'd never seen him, or the mouse before.

Perry snorted, "Try going to sea for a month, then you'll se how sharp, alert, and how good you are at noticing things then."
"Um, no thanks. I couldn't live without my trees." Arya said smiling.
Perry nodded, "I guess. I do miss the sea, but I can live without it......for a while."
"For a while?" Arya asked, slightly saddened that he'd be going back to the sea, then wondering why.
"Well, a while can mean maybe a season, or more. Depending on how I feel." Perry explained. "Also, I don't have a boat of my own. I just help out on other beasts ships."
"Oh, okay." Arya said, cheered up again.
"Yeah." Perry then heard someone call out to him, "Do these riddles have anything to do with the writing on carved into the floor stones on the north walltop?" A young mouse called out. "I found it there yesterday."
"writing in the stone?" Arya asked, already standing up and heading for the door.
"Yeah, on the north walltop!" The mouse answered.
Arya barely heard, and saw striding out of the room. When she got outside, she heard shouting, but dismissed it, heading for the wall top.
Perry ran after her, so did quite a few Redwallers.
Arya walked quickly across the Lawns, head for the steps.
Perry leapt over a snowdrift, but landed badly, and then fell backwards into it. Spluttering, and coughing he sat up, and rubbed snow out of his face.
Arya heard someone cough behind her, and she whirled around, going into a crouch for a split second. Then she rushed over to Perry. "Are you alright?" She she asked, then wiped a mound of snow between his ears off.
"Yeah, just....wet." Perry chuckled, standing up, and brushing himself off.

Arya laughed. "Clumsy much?" She teased, then set off again at her fast pace.
"There appears to be some sort of commotion outside" said Kaijo, he was standing at the attic window, looking out over the lawns
"What kind of commotion?" Misak asked, getting to her feet
"A lot of Redwallers are running for the wall" he chuckled
"What's funny?" asked Misak, interested
"One of them just fell over, I think they faceplanted"
"How embarrassing"
"Presumably. Oh someone's helping them" he turned around "Should we go down and see what's going on?"
"I think we should"
"Then let us away, dear troglodyte, into the winter snows!" he swept her off her feet "Oh, oh no! Bad idea, bad idea!" he crashed to the ground "That leg really did not need more pressure on it" he groaned
"Idiot" said Misak, ruffling his headfur "I swear you're like a kitten sometimes" Kaijo blushed bright red
"Could you perhaps let me keep at least a shred of my masculinity intact?" Misak pretended to consider for a moment
"No, you're much cuter when you're flustered"
"I am not cute" Kaijo grumbled, getting to his feet "The Helmos family does not do cute"
"The Helmos family does very cute"
"I am NOT cute" Kaijo insisted
"No, cute is the wrong word" said Misak "you're more... adorable"
"I am not adorable, we don't do adorable either"
"You are completely adorable" Kaijo sighed
"Fine" he said "Now let's get going or we'll miss the commotion"
"Alright kitten, lead on"
Arnath jumped to her feet and started towards the new comer expertly avoiding the trees hardly using her cane at all. "Now See here sir!" She said. "No need to get nasty here, seriously who taught you manners, the both of you," turning on Toka with that last bit "Really I don't know why I put up with it," She was fed up with the whole thing.

Raxanna grinned he was distracted. There was another creature yelling at him. She could use this to her advantage.

"I guess so." Perry spluttered, then shrieked as two little squirrels shoved ice, and snow down his collar.

Magnus glared at the mouse, "Your not the boss of me! I can do what I like, in my home. And I want to know, who are you, and what are you doing here!?!"
Toka wasn't listening, those two were just getting in the way. So, he slowly crept out of the gate, sword drawn, and made his way towards the place the footprints lead.
Arya turned again at and laughed. "All right little's Ines, I can take it from here." She said gently, winking at them before they ran off giggling.
Perry ran around frantically trying to get the ice, and snow out of his shirt, but it was all stuck somewhere half way down his back.
"Want some help? It'll go faster, and I really want to see that writing,." Aya offered,
"YES! YES! YES! JUST GET RID OF IT!" Perry shrieked.
Arya laughed as she went over and stuck her paw down the back of his shirt and scooped some out.
Perry yelped, and desperately tried to reach the rest of the snow, and ice.
Arty a scooped out mire until it was gone. "There, better?"
"The abbey dose welcome travelers dose it not, We arrived yesterday and if you really live her then how come you did not notice the commotion my friend made," She said then without stopping for breath of change of pace she called back "Toka get back here!"

Raxanna had used the distraction to move her position and when the squirrel got close to her old location she lunged at hes unprotected back dirk ready to strike. Her golden eyes alight with adrenalin behind the golden mask.
Magnus was taken aback. He'd been, well around yesterday. He hadn't know about any new travellers. "I, ur..."

Toka had reached the spot, and had seen the marks in the snow, from when she had moved. He had also heard her coming up behind him, he hadn't let on though. But he did had to say, she moved almost silently, he'd only just been able to hear her.
When she came for him, Toka spun round just in time to deflect the blow. Though it was terribly painful, and Toka gasped in pain, and put a hand to his side.

Perry sighed in relief that the coldness was gone. Though now his shirt was quite wet. "Thhhh....ttttthhhhhhaaankkksssss." His teeth were chattering wildly.

Back in character. Arya half wondered if Perry was following. But by then she had reached the steps.
Raxanna cursed under her breath as her blade was deflected this one was good most would be quite dead by now but he was also injured and would not last long. She took a step backwards and drew her sword. The Rubies caught the light and dancing points of red light swirled around in the air and on the snow. She struck out at him again this time with more force behind the blow. She would wear him down. "You're good squirrel," She said not raising her voice.

Arnath crossed her arms with satisfaction. She had mad her point. However she regretted letting the otter distract her when She heard steal on steal. "Toka! she said spinning around,"
Toka, in pain, and now finding it very hard to focus. All the lights distracted, and confused him. Then he stopped the next blow which was much harder, but he deflected it a little better. Then he struck out himself, aiming for her legs.
As he fought Toka was cursing himself. If he hadn't been injured, this would have been a good duel. He knew this was someone he could compete against. Normally he just won far too easily. In other circumstances, he would have enjoyed this. But, instead, this was just painful.

Magnus was angry, he was trying to think of a good come back, but couldn't think of one. Then the mouse was off looking for her friend again. Then Magnus heard it too, the sound of steel on steel.

Perry had quickly run back inside, up to his room, and changed his shirt, then headed back out again.
He stood just outside the Abbey door, he could see Arya some way in front of him with some other Redwallers.
Arya was at the spot, and looking for the lettering.

If it was any other beast Toka would have hit home but Raxanna saw it coming and blocked it taking a step backwards and coming down on him hard. She could tell the squirrel was a good fighter and she half regretted that he was injured. She would have liked a challenge but now was not the time for that.

Arnath ran to the door but stopped in the door frame. For what she heard was not good. There was battle and steal yet beneath that where two others creeping up on Toka's position from behind.
OOC: Corny, feel free to think of a riddle if you want.
BIC: Toka swore, much louder than he would have liked, as he took the blow. In an attempt to get himself together, and took a few steps backwards. It was then he realized there was someone, no defiantly two beasts, coming up behind him.

Raxanna brought the blade down twice more hard trying to drive him back. This would soon be all over.

Arnath let out a cry "Toka behind you!" She could tell he was losing she wished that she could do something but she was helpless and to tell the truth more than a little frightened. She then yelled back to the otter "Get over here now!" Then there was a thunk and something hit the wall by her head (A dagger thrown by on of the other vermin) and she dove back inside.
Misak and Kaijo were making their way along a corridor on the ground floor when they heard shouting and the sounds of clashing metal. Misak looked out of an open window in time to see Arnath jump back inside the abbey as if she had been scalded "Something is not right here" she said, climbing out of the window. Kaijo, nodding, followed suit. Misak ran towards the blind mouse "Arnath, what's going on?" Kaijo meanwhile was drawing his sword and looking out at the combatants, he growled as he saw the other two vermin "Oh hell no!" he ran out of the gate "Fight fair you dishonorable ********!" Hearing her husband's cry and realizing what was going on, Misak fitted a bolt to her crossbow and made her way towards the wall gate
Toka saw the two cats come running out the gate, and he shouted angrily at them, "I can look after myself! Get out of it, this is my fight!!" Then he swore as the pain of the two blows that he once again deflected hit him. Also, he hadn't deflected the second blow very well so the blade he cut him quite deeply on the face.
Kaijo growled "Right, because one injured squirrel can hold his own against three perfectly able creatures. I'm not going to interfere with the ermine but you can't beat all three of them in your condition" he swung his sword at the closest vermin
"I'd rather die, than except help." Toka spat, lashing out at Raxanna, skilfully with his sword, then he grabbed his dagger from his belt, and went for her again, all in the same smooth movement.
Raxanna cursed to herself as two strange creatures came out threw the gate each with a weapon and it was obvious that they knew how to use them and use them well. When Toka took a slash at her with his blade she just as skilfully blocked it dodging the dagger as she did so. She stared deeply into his eyes for a moment and said "You can not fool me! The Knower of all Thoughts, I see your every move!"
OOC: I'm terrible at them too Corny. :( Anyone here good at riddles?
BIC: Toka couldn't help laughing, "Oh, so you know my thoughts? ********!"
Toka attacked again swinging his sword at her legs, but also going for her throat with his dagger. "Your nothing but a fake! And you'll never defeat the Son of Fire, and Darkness!"
Toka could feel the pain in his side subsiding, he could feel the bloodlust kicking in. That cool calm, but also that drive, he loved this feeling. His eyes flashed fiery, the gold streaks, and flecks in his eyes lit up, and an aragonite smile spread across his handsome, but terrifying face.
Raxanna jumped back and blocked both blades with her own dagger and sword in a way that made it difficult to withdraw his blades. She was loving this but she could tell that the squirrel was getting stronger as time went on and that the mouse would be getting help. While there blades where locked she said in a voice that only Toka could hear "You are not worth my time, " She then shoved him hard and turned and headed into the woods and called back. "I will wait till you are!"

Arnath went as fast as she could to the sound of other creatures in the grounds, calling " Oh pleas help Toka is in a fight with a vermin just out the side gate!"
Toka was flung backwards into a pile of snow. He swore viciously, and got backup, then ran after Raxanna shouting, "Come back you stupid ****! You ******* coward! Come back and face me! Or are to too afraid you might just lose?!? You ******* **** get back here now!"
He ran into the woods furious, also the pain in his side was returning. He needed the bloodlust to stop the pain.
Raxanna was a fast runner and she turned and called back laughing at the lagging squirrel "Oh no, Not at all, I wish to wait till your little wound is healed then we can have a real fight!"
OOC: Healed.
BIC: Toka gritted his teeth, the bloodlust was returning. His speed increased, the pain subsided, he raised his blades, and THONK! Everything went black, and Toka fell to the ground unconscious.

Magnus gasped as he saw what his stone had done.
He had for a while hidden in the Orchard. But then he had decided to go, and help with the vermin if he could. Then he had seen Raxanna running away with Toka after her. So he had ran after them until he was in sling ranch. He had loaded up, aimed, was about to fire, and just as he did he slipped on some ice. He had been aiming for Raxanna, but the stone had gone terribly off course, and had hit Toka hard on the back of the head. Magnus was terrified he had killed him.
He ran up, and knelt beside the stunned squirrel. Magnus he rolled him onto his back, and checked for the pulse on his neck, like he'd seen the infirmary keeper do once. Thank goodness! There was a good steady pulse.......but now what?
OOC: Corny, I have come up with a bit of a riddle. But I'm gonna PM it to you so you can see what you think.
Raxanna found the over confidant squirrel rather amusing especially when his friend missed her and managed to knock him out cold. She chuckled to herself and ran off into the woods and out of their sight.

Magnus just knelt there, beside Toka, wondering what he should do. Maybe he should run back, and get the squirrel's friend. But then he'd have to tell them, he was the one who knocked him out. "Maybe I could say I found him like this." Magnus mused. Then, pleased with the idea, ran back towards the Abbey.
OOC: I completely forgot to Pm it to you yesterday Corn. Sorry, but yesterday was mad for me. ::) I'll PM you what I've got now.

BIC: Arya found the words, and read them. Then read them again, confuzed.

She shrugged, and memorized the letters, then started back to the Abbey.
Perry was on his way up the steps, passing interested Redwallers, all trying to see what the words were.
He saw Bryony, and tried to push through the crowded beasts.
Arya stopped short when she saw the crowd, and did an abrupt u-turn, heading for what she guessed was an orchard.
When the hubbub at the Abbey had started, the moment when the riddle was found, Lagg knew it was only a matter of time before small ones would get in others way and harms way. The otter took the moment of opportunity before the young ones heard wind of what has arisen to keep them distracted in the dibbuns room, where at the moment, playing near the Abbey pond. "OI! Avast ye mateys! I heard there was buried treasure somewhere's!" announced Lagg, which got the young ones attention quickly.
"Werra the biggy tresure??" asked an inquisitive mousebabe.
"Oi burt ther' bees a gurrt trezure inna abbey!" said a happy young mole.
Others dibbuns were just as exacted their questions and statements unaudible for the otter to hear.
"Well how about this, follow me up ta the ship and we'll find ourselves some treasure for ye!" winked Lagg. "Since I'm cap'n of this fine crew let me here an 'Aye Aye'!"
A second later the whole score of dibbuns were yelling 'Aye Aye's' and 'werra gonna find us'n a treazysurey!', as they danced and hopped around as Lagg led them to their room/makeshift ship. On the way Lagg looked over at the group of abbey dwellers wondering what was going on and half wanting to be over there, but he knew it was best to care of this excited bunch and only come attention those things if needed.
Upon arriving at the dibbuns' room, Lagg quickly made sheets into flags and sails, turning pillows into wheels and stuffed toys into weapons. "Ahoy mateys! Now that were at our ship I heard the treasure should be on this ship! The one who finds it has ta share it equally among everyone! Got it ya wee vermin?" asked the mock sea cap'n. His question was left unanswered though as some started searching for their treasure and others pillow-sword fighting. With that window of oppertunity Lagg sneaked out of the room heading for the kitchen to get the "treasure". Upon arriving only the Friar was left in the kitchen, who when asked if the plate of scones and other fine treats be taken for the dibbuns, he agreed happily to the river otter.
Upon re-entering the dibbuns' room, the place was in utter chaos, dibbuns crying for help on the floor others destroying bookshelves and whatnot. The otter captain whistled for attentions as every beast in the room turned their attention to him. "Ok my mateys I found the treasure! Alot of vittle to keep young seaworthy pirates aways from scurvy for a whole year or two!" Lagg said as he set the hot plate of treats down, which instantly became a pile of young abbey babes, each luckily getting an equal amount for each other. As the young ones minds were distracted Lagg looked out the window down to the orchard where the other abbey beasts were at.
A small group of Redwallers heard Arnaths cries and the fallowed her back to the side gate but by the time they got there the vermin had gone.
Perry saw Arya leave, and fought his way out of the crowd, and ran after her. "What did the riddle say?"

Magnus had ran back to the beasts at the gate, breathing hard, he yelled. "Come, quick! I found the squirrel unconscious in the woods!"
Arnath didn't wait for help she started off in the direction that the otter had come from. Mentally scolding Toka and thinking up what she would do to him when she got to him.
Arya turned around, shaking slightly. "It said

Arnath stopped and stood still realizing that she was unsure of the squirrels location and that finding him would most likely be a bit of a problem but she didn't want to ask any one for help so she proceeded but this time slower. She just wished that unconscious people made noise then this would be so much easier.
Magnus thought about going after the mouse, but then was worried she'd asked questions. So he just sneaked back into the Abbey grounds.

Perry bit his lip, "Should we ask that redwall lot? They do live here, and might know something about it?"
"Uh, you can, if you want. But right now, I really, really don't need a crowd. See you around!" Arya said, turning around, Then she hightailed to the Orchard.
Perry shook his head, confused. Then he headed back towards the crowd of Redwallers, that were now all up on the walltop.
While watching the group of Redwallers outside, one of the Infirmary workers came in relieving Lagg of his "duties" in a manner. "I know your wanting to go down there, I can handle these scoundrels!" said a mid-seasoned mousemaid who was kind of on the hefty side with a slight "boom" to her voice. The otter nodded, "Thank ya marm!" And with that, the otter made his way down the stairs into the vast great hall passing by the large tapestry of Martin the Warrior. The otter envied the mouse in some ways, all the adventures he used to go on. "Heh...you were one lucky mouse eh Martin?" The otter made his way outside and up to where the other Abbey dwellers were gathered, trying to get a good look at what was going on. No beast really speaking anything coherent. Lagg shook his head as he went back down to the grounds and through the big gates to the big path that went south or north from Redwall.
OOC: Arnath is out side the walls in the woods... :P
OOC: Also, Arnath has only just arrived at the Abbey.
OOC: Eh, I'll just edit there and ya..lol :)
Arya was now sitting in a pear tree, a glum look on her face. Reaching out, she grabbed a stick and started snapping it into little bits and pieces, thinking.
OOC: Aruya who's that? ;D
OOC: Hmm. . . No auto-correcter, just me hitting an extra key. I like it that way!
OOC: Its winter, there are no pears!
BIC: Toka groaned slightly, and tried to move. ****! No, no, no, no, no, no, no! NO! That really hurt!
Arnath heard him immediately and rushed to his side. "Are you Ok what happened?" Then quickly realizing that Tolka would never in a million years answer her first question truthfully and the fact that the first question bugged him would probably mess up his second answer.
OOC: Gah! *Screams*

BIC: Toka swore at Arnath, and reached for the back of his head, where there was a huge lump. "Something, hit me from behind." He said, dazed.
That went better than she had thought. "Here put some snow on it," she said scooping some up in a rage and handing it to him.
Toka didn't take it, but tried to get into a sitting position, because currently, he was still face down in the snow.
"Come on we need to get back," she said patiently.
"Why." Toka growled, getting into a sitting position, and getting some snow himself, and putting it on his head. But when it suddenly hurt, he swore, and threw the snow away.
If Arnath could have she would have rolled her eyes. Toka was a glorified dibbun. Prone to tantrums and disobeying orders. doing what he wanted because he wanted to and not using common sense. "Because you might have a concussion,"
Hearing commotion coming from the woods, Lagg took it upon himself took go searching for the commotion. Forgetting he didn't have his sword on him, the otter made haste for it seemed like somebeast was in a great deal of pain. "Ahoy! Is everybeast alright?" called Lagg, hoping for a reply, following where he heard the cries of pain and arguments.
"No every beast's not all right, no matter what he says," Arnath said fed up with Toka's stubbornness.
Upon arriving on scene, Lagg quickly gathered what info he could on what info he saw. "Ok, marm, I'll take him back to the Redwall for ye. We have an excellent herbalist and medical professional that could tend to his wounds and any that you may have." The otter then noticed the young squirrel-maid was blind and felt pity for her. "Oh sorry, where are my manners, the names Lagg, Lagg Tilk. An otter if you will." All the while introducing himself, he reached his paw out for the blind squirrel and ready to carry the more injured male squirrel over his shoulder with his other arm.
OOC: She's a mouse. ;) Don't worry, I still do that sometimes.
BIC: Toka didn't even know what a concussion was, and he didn't care. Them so stupid otter turned up, and started acting like some gallant saviour. When the otter started reached out for Toka, Toka glared death at him. "Touch me, and you loose the hand. I'm not going back to be tortured by those stupid Abbey fools again."
Arya sighed, and leaped down from her tree, and started walking. After a bit, she came upon an open wallgate. Peering out, she saw some cats. "Um, hi?" She said, although it sounded like a question.
OOC: Their quite a way into the woods. Jett's characters are just outside the gate.
OOC: Maybe I need to take a break. This is bad.
OOC: Trying breathing in, and out. In, and out, In, and out, In, and out, In, and out. Then eating very chocolaty. ;) (((( :P))))

The otter shrugged as he started to walk back to Redwall, retracing his steps from the snow. "Well, suit yourself, I won't help ya if you don't need it." The otter didn't really want to leave the two alone, he slowed his pace, enough to be in earshot if they actually wanted the help instead.
Arnath got to her feet taking the otters paw and thanking him "Thank you sir, My name is Arnath," She said then Tolk snapped at the otter as if he was about to bite his paw off and the make him eat it.
"Touch, and you loose the hand. I'm not going back to be tortured by those stupid Abbey fools again."
Arnath wanted to call Toka any number of names at the moment but instead she said "Allow me to apologize for my friend. He may not appreciate your help but I certainly would and as he has already made it painfully clear the he is not going to come quietly I may just have to drag him back to the abbey myself." Then turning to Toka she said "Really your worse than a dibbun when it comes to common sense." She knew that this probably wouldn't help things but really she was no angel and even angels loss their temper but Toka would be enough to make even the best of the best loos their temper.
Toka didn't listen to either of them. He didn't need them, he'd always managed alone. "Just go the ******** away already!" Toka growled, struggling to his feet, "I can look after myself, I don't need either of you! I don't need anybody!"
And with that, he rushed off into the woodlands, as fast as he could.
Lagg turned and watched as the tempered squirrel ran off into the woods, and he shook his head sadly. "Arnath is it? I can go after him if you want me too, but I would hate to leave you here. Although he does seem terribly injured and it seems you care for him rather deeply." explained Lagg. He then looked in the mouse maids direction as he held her paw firmly in his grasp, not wanting someone blind running...well, blindly into the woods. "It's your decision marm."
"Thank you, Sir Oh please do I could follow him rightly enough, but can't keep up. Please be careful. You might have to knock him out again," Arnath said. It was true she could make her way threw the forest quite well but keeping up with the angry squirrel was the part she could not do. "Don't worry about me I can handle myself,"
The otter nodded and turned the blind mouse in the direction towards Redwall. "Ok Arnath, just head this way towards Redwall Abbey and you'll be near the main gate. A group of Redwallers are on the battlements so they'll notice you as soon as you come out of the woods. I know your blind, but I"m sure if Martin the Warrior is watching over you, he'll make sure you reach there safely." And with that the otter turned back, picking up the trail the stubborn squirrel left in the snow. "I'll bring him back for you marm, don't worry." And soon the otter was off, chasing after the maddened squirrel, wishing this could have been avoided.
"Sir! It's me Lagg! Where did you run off too! I would like to bring you back to the Abbey! Arnath is truly worried about your state of being!" explained the otter, almost losing the trail the squirrel had made. "I don't mean to offend you but vermin could be out here and well...wouldn't want anything else bad to happen to you." Of course at this moment Lagg just noticed he hadn't brought a weapon in case something like that were to happen. "Please, show yourself. I promise, as soon as your taken care of back at the Abbey you will be free to go!" Of course Lagg knew calling for the squirrel wouldn't be the best choice in case vermin were around, but he didn't have a choice considering he didn't want Arnath to worry about either of them any longer than needed be.

BIC: Toka, had with great difficulty, climbed into a tree nearby. He heard every word the otter said, from his hiding place among the branches. He snorted at the mention of vermin, he could handle himself, and had for seasons. Who was it who got him out of that ****** prison cell? Him. Who had killed the warlord of the place, many of his guards, and set fire to the place all without getting injured? Him. He could look after himself.
In fact, Toka was thinking about just tree jumping away, though that might be a little difficult in his present condition, but then he thought of why he came here in the first place. That riddle.
Toka remembered finding the riddle, on a dying searat. At the time he hadn't known what it was, but it had seemed important, so he had kept hold of it. Actually, although Toka had never told anyone ever, he couldn't read. The only way he'd found out what the riddle said, was when he ran into a group of travellers. They had told him what it said.
"Give me one good reason why I should go back!?!" Toka shouted down from the tree. He had already decided to go back, but he still wanted it to look like he wouldn't go back without a fight.
Lagg stopped moving when he finally heard the squirrel ask him why he should go back. The otter gave it some thought and having only met the squirrel and Arnath for only a minute or so, decided that would be the best course. "Well, like I said before, Arnath is worried about you Sir. She may not look but she sounds deeply concerned for you." answered the otter. "If you come back with me, like I said, I promise you that if you want to leave after your injuries have been taken care of..well, I'll personally make sure plenty of vittles are given to you for your journey..!"
The thought that first came to Arnaths mind was 'I know you know I'm blind, its not like you cant see either,' She wanted to add the this silent retort 'and I'm not deaf either,' but refrained though she never said any of it so it really didn't matter. The Otter if not rather chivalrous was treating Arnath like she was helpless and that was on thing that she hated. If she was any other creature he would have been quite right to have done what he had done but Arnath had never been one to let the rules of limitations tell a person what they can and can not do. All her life she had lived in the forest and threw hard work and perseverance she had learned its ways. She could make her way around the forest even better than some by the sound as it bounced off her surroundings and her cane. She was not about to let Him treat her as some one to be lead along. She turned around and followed the sound of the otters retreating foot steps and his voice. he made it rather easy in fact. When they reached the aria where Toka had hidden himself She knew his location be for he revealed it.
Part of the reason She had taken such a shin to the vicious tempered squirrel was how he treated her. Perhaps it was a little cold but he did not in anyway treat her like she needed to be lead about. He let her do her own thing.

Kaijo turned to look in the direction of the voice and saw a squirrel standing in the open wallgate "Hello there" he said "my name is Kaijo and this is my wife Misak, how might we address you?"
Toka eye rolled, was that seriously the best he could come up with? But then Toka spotted Arnath, "I do I know your not lying?" He shouted, watched Arnath closely. He was trying to work her out, why did she seem to like him so much? No one liked him, let alone helped him.

"People could just call me Kaijo, seeing as that's my name" Misak chuckled
"Coming up with nicknames is more fun kitten" Kaijo flushed
"Sila, tidak di hadapan orang lain"

"That's very aggravating you know"
"I do, I just don't care darling"
"Well aren't you considerate" Misak flashed a grin
"I like to think so" Kaijo groaned and slapped himself in the forehead
"Fine, whatever, I don't even care anymore"
"So I can call you kitten?" Kaijo's eyebrow twitched
"If you must" Misak laughed
"It would seem it bothers you more than you are attempting to lead us to believe"
"That's preposterous"
"Is it really kitten?"
"Yes"
"You're still blushing"
"Damnit"
Arya laughed. "Okay then, Kaijo, Misak. It's a pleasure to meet you."
Kaijo and Misak nodded "And yourself" said the former "would you help us drag these bodies out of sight? I do not think the people of Redwall will take kindly to seeing the corpses of vermin every time they look over their battlements"
"Gladly." Arya replied, stepping forwards and grabbing one of the bodies. "Any particular place you had in mind?"
"Not really" said Kaijo, grabbing the other "just somewhere out of sight" he began to drag the corpse over to the edge of the forest
Arya followed Kaijo, frowning as she heaved. The vermin was a bit heavy.
Lagg turned to noticed that Arnath had followed him. "Heh, kinda had a feeling you wouldn't leave." smiled the otter. He then knew he came a liking to Arnath. For she could probably make her way through anything than a "normal" beast could. Lagg turned back to the squirrel and pondered on the question he posed. After coming up with no answer to give him the otter shrugged saying, "Actually, I can't really think of anything that would make you believe me. It's your choice really, I offered you help, and it's only your sense of judgement if you think taking the offer is the right choice or not."
Arnath turned here head to cast her voice in Toka's Direction. "He may not have a Good answer but I do! You may be able to fight your way threw anything but your pride will get the better of you one day if you don't learn some common sense. You are still injured and if it is not taken care of it could get worse or infected then you wont even be able to fight. I'll make sure the abbey beast let you be and don't fuss, and that your not confined to the sickbay" She said.
"You make a compelling argument, Arnath!" Toka shouted down, a slight smile on his face, "Fine, but only if you keep your word."
Toka then began to slowly make his way out of the tree, swearing here, and there when he banged his side on a branch. When he was finally on the snowy, ground again, he walked up to the otter, and mouse. "Happy now?"
The otter nodded to the squirrel's question after he made it down from the tree. "I never did get your name Sir." said Lagg, wondering if that would be over stepping the boundaries. Hopefully not for wondering what his name.
Anath nodded, glad she had gotten Toka to see some sense.
"Toka, Son of Fire, and Darkness." Toka said, looking the otter straight in the face.
"Alright Toka, Arnath, let's get back to Redwall." the otter smiled, leading the way back to the red-stoned abbey. On the way, he wanted to know what had happened, but he was sure if the time was right the two would explain how they ended up near Redwall. "So! I was thinking, when we get back to the Abbey, I'm sure I can get a nice feast for the both you made for while ya'll get taken care of in the Infirmary." said Lagg, hoping that be something squirrel and mousemaid would look forward too.
Arnath could tell the otter was just trying to be nice but she could also tell that Toka did not like him one bit and his amiable attitude seemed to get on his nerves so before Toka could brake out in a fit of swearing at the offer she said "No thank you we just ate, and we wont be in the infirmary very long. I would love to take a little walk in the orchard if you would like to join me Lagg, I have so many questions about your lovely abbey,"
Toka had been about to make some sneering comment, but then Arnath polity refused the offer before he could say anything.
Can she read my mind or something?
"Well Marm, if you insist, I can show you both around the Abbey and the orchard. Although if it was in the spring or summer it would be, in my personal opinion, a way more beautiful sight to be had." explained Lagg, wishing Arnath wasn't blind to see it. He had a feeling though even without having the ability to see she would know what everything would look like. "So Toka, where did ya'll come from, if you don't mind me asking?"
"Not here." Toka grunted.
As they were walking, Toka suddenly didn't feel well. Images flashed before his eyes.
Water, not being able to breath, ice, the freezing water. Everywhere. Trying to fight to the surface, but only finding ice. Where was the hole? Where was it?
He screamed, but his mouth was only filled with water. Freezing, cold water. Water, water, water, such cold water, everywhere. No air, blackness creeping in.
Toka gasped, and fell to his knees, gasping for breath. He was shaking all over, and he had broken out into a cold sweat.
OOC: Cold sweats, never a good thing!
BIC:
Lagg turned around when he heard a something hit the ground. He then noticed that Toka had fallen to the ground and looked like he had trouble breathing and it almost look like he was sweating. Without a second thought the otter went by Toka's side, picking him up and throwing him over his shoulder. "Ok mate, we'll get you back to the Infirmary!" said Lagg, trying to keep his face from showing worry in front of Arnath. He then more hastily headed towards Redwall, making sure Arnath was still closely behind.
OOC: Huh?
BIC: Toka was breathing rapidly, he hadn't even noticed what was happen. All he could see was the water, everywhere. So much water!
Arnath was very worried, the fact that Toka didn't put up a fuss about being carried meant that this was bad, very bad. Even though Lag tied to keep it from her she could tell he was worried too, underneath his confidant tone she could hear it.
Finally arriving at the main gates of Redwall, he yelled for gate to be opened up again, lucky that they didn't have to wait long. "OK mates, get back, need to get this one to the Infirmary!" yelled Lagg, over a crowd of Abbey dwellers that came to see who the otter was carrying along with seeing who Arnath was. Eventually the herbalist managed to get the trio from the swarm of Redwallers into the Abbey. "Ok Toka, almost there." explained the otter to the almost unconscious squirrel. Eventually making it into the Infirmary, Lagg set Toka on the bed, letting the herbalist take over from there. He then turned to Arnath, hoping she was ok from all that's happened. "Arnath, if you want to wait in here with Toka I understand completely, but if not then we can take that orchard trip to keep our minds at ease."
Toka, through a haze, saw Arnath, that annoying otter, and someone else. But then everything went black again, then he was back in the water.
Toka thrashed about, he could feel himself falling unconscious. But then suddenly, the ice above him was broken, and he was pulled out. His father was there, speaking to him, telling him something important, but he couldn't make it out. Suddenly there was the sound of cracking ice. Toka's father threw him towards the snowy bank, and Toka landed in a pile of snow. He pulled himself out of the snow, shivering, just in time to the ice break, and his father fall into the icy depths. His father was now gone forever.
"I would prefer to stay here," She said remembering her promice to Toka. She knew that as soon as Toka was well enough to want to get up and walk around he would be well enough to do so. Just so long as he stayed long enough to be treated.
Toka seemed to be calming down, his breathing wasn't so laboured. And he wasn't shivering, or groaning anymore.
Lagg nodded and set a chair for Arnath. "Well here you go marm, this may take awhile and I'm sure you wouldn't mind relaxing a bit while you wait." explained the otter as he pulled another chair up for him. "So....Arnath? What exactly did happen to both of you?"
Arnath took the chair and sighed recalling everything that had happened the day before "Well I met Toka on the road, and we travailed here together arriving yesterday evening," She said not really ready to tell him about the mouse but she did remember the peace of mettle in her satchel which she then took out and showed it to the otter saying. "I found this but I don't know what it is, I have a feeling it's some how important though,"
OOC: Assuming the metal your speaking of is the one with the riddle on it?
BIC: Lagg listened to Arnath's rather short tale, which to him seemed there might have been more to it than the mouse maid was letting on. When handed the metal over, the otter looked it over and his eyes made contact with the riddle.
"Hmmm....'Stand where the night time dies....and look towards the blood red stones. In the claws of Death, and the eyes of Wisdom, that's where the next step of your journey lies'." The otter shrugged and handed the riddle back over to Arnath.
"Well, I remember when I was younger, our former recorder always told us riddles. Always said, 'if you ever find yourself stuck, start from the beginning or where it looks the easiest to solve'." explained Lagg, as he then started to ponder over the riddle. "The only line that I might know of is the first line. Usually night dies when the sun rises in the East. So it seems you'd have to stand facing towards some blood stone around the time the sun rises."
OOC: Ok, I better let you in on the plan I had.
I was planning that all the metal pieces fit together to make a map. Leading them to their destination. But, the characters don't have all the pieces, so most of this chapter will be spent probably looking for the rest of the pieces.
Now, the things in the riddle are bird statues on top of the Abbey. One is an owl, the eyes of Wisdom, the other a raven, In the claws of Death. The things that are in their eyes, and claws are white sapphires.
That's the plan I had, but if anyone else has any ideas, feel free to say so.
"What are you talking about?" She said completely confused. "Please start from the beginning, what is it?" She asked.
OOC: The best part is that Raxanna has one of the pieces meaning you will be perpetually missing one of them.
BIC:
Raxanna returned to the camp without the two vermin who she had left with. She got several looks but did not return them. She went strait to her tent and started to plan.
OOC: AHHH so confused lol! I was trying to go back in pages to see if the metal was the one with the riddle on it. Maybe it's best to ignore that former post I made.
OOC: No, it'll be fine. The riddle was found by Arya, and Perry carved into the Abbey rampart's walkway. Maybe some of the metal pieces could have riddles on them too.
OOC: Ok, well just to get back on track here's another random post by trying to figure out everything :P
BIC:
Lagg unintentionally half ignored Arnath's inquiry as he looked along the edges of the metal. "Hey Arnath.....there should be more to this metal...shouldn't there?" asked the otter, tracing a claw along a groove sketched into the edge of the metal. The line disappearing off the side of the edge before further down the side which seemed to curve back onto the metal. "I only ask, because this metal looks unfinished. Like there was more here but..." his voice trailed off, his inner thoughts taking over as he stared mindlessly at the metal.
"Yes but what is it," She said pleadingly "The mouse told me that it was important,"
Lagg stood up as he returned from his thoughts. "To be honest marm, I really don't know." confessed Lagg, who wasn't entirely sure what came over him a minute ago. "Maybe we're not supposed to know right away? I know your intrigued by it and you now have me wondering what it's all about, but somethings still need more time to reveal themselves to us." explained otter as he then headed for the door. "I don't mean to down your hopes marm, please believe me when I say this."
Lagg's stomach started to growl and he forgotten he hadn't eaten since breakfast. "Well, let me go get some food, it'll get our strength's back up and when Toka wakes up, he'll awake to a nice surprise: you, food and...well maybe not me!" chuckled the otter, hoping that would help cheer up Arnath.
Arnath sighed and smiled, taking back the piece of mettle she said "That would be nice, thankyou," She did not want to have to explain to the otter that she need a visual description of the mettle piece just as much as a purpose. As far as she could tell it was just a curved piece of mettle with something that might be letters carved into one side. However she could not read them, even if she was able to make out the letters she would not know what they meant.
"Alrighty, I'll be right back..!" said Lagg as he left the infirmary. He made his way to the kitchen where a meal was being made, but there was extra food for an appetizer. Thanking the friar the otter made his way back to the infirmary carrying a hot pile of scones on one arm and two pitchers drinks: one mint root tea and the other cordial.
"And food is served!" the otter announced as he set a small table in front of Arnath and the chair he was sitting in. he poured two cups of the mint root and two cups of the cordial; each set for Arnath and himself. There was another set of cups for Toka whenver he did awake from his slumber. Lagg sat down back in his former seat and moved the plate of scones closer to Arnath so she could reach it better. "Marm, I had forgotten that you were blind when you kept asking me about the mettle. The design of it is curved in away as you probably already know. But the riddle I mentioned earlier is written into it from what looks like from by gone seasons ago. If there was more to this mettle, for instance, other pieces. Someone with alot of force and brute strength would only be able to have cut it." explained Lagg from what he could tell about the mettle Arnath held. "And it was only that piece you found...correct?"
Toka was wandering around in the misty nowhere of his subconscious. He trudged on, and on, not knowing why he kept going. Suddenly he banged his foot on something. He bent down, and through the mist he saw it was a lump of ice. Then he heard the cracking sound.
"No, no, no." Toka groaned, holding his hands over his ears. "Not again, not again!"
Then the ice gave way, and he was in the water. Only, something was different this time. He wasn't his younger self, this wasn't like the memory.
Toka thrashed, and swam for the hole, but then it suddenly sealed up. Toka began to panic, he banged on the ice, desperate. He began to go unconscious, but where was his father? Whenever the memory replayed, his father always came at this point. But he was here! Toka was drowning, sinking down, down, down into the icy blackness. Toka screamed, and the water filled his mouth.
OOC: Toka is saying everything out loud, so Arnath, and Lagg can hear what he's been saying.
Arnath thanked the otter but then Toka started to yell out in his feverish sleep. She jumped up and rushed to the bed grabbing his paw. oddly enough instead of urging her to wake up she said "Don't worry I've got you," The words even surprised herself and she was not sure why she had said them.
Lagg took a cloth and soaked it in some cool water and rung it out, then after placing it on Toka's forehead. Lagg moved next to Arnath, placing a reassuring paw on her shoulder. "Hold fast there mate..!" said Lagg, hoping his encouragment could be heard by Toka. He was worried though that Toka's coma like sleep would be over soon. He didn't really know what to do and he knew the infirmary keeper did all he could for now. "It's just a dream mate, it's not real, if you can hear me. Don't fret, your fine...!"
As Toka slowly fell into the never ending blackness, he heard two voices. He couldn't quite make out what they were saying, but the pulled him out of his nightmare.
Toka sat bolt upright, he was breathing rapidly. He was wide-eyed, and a look of fear, and shock were on his handsome face. He tried to speak, but couldn't form the words correctly.
Arnath started at his sudden movement letting go of his paw. She could hear the panic in his breath. "Toka what happened?"
Toka's body shook as he tried to hold back the sobs of relief. He covered his welling eyes with his hands, and managed to stammer. "Nothing, I..i...I....I....I...I......it was....nothing."
"Well here, drink this Toka..!" said the otter as he handed over a cup of cordial. "So, what were you dreaming about? You seemed to be in a really bad fit. Do you want a scone?" As the otter said this he offered a scone over to Toka, glad the squirrel seemed to be a lot better now.
Lagg seemed unconcerned but Arnath was not, She knew that if Toka didn't snap at you yell curs words or try to insult you then there was something wrong. In fact he sounded terrified. Surprisingly she actually hoped that he would snap out of it and become put out by Lagg's offer. At least that would show he was fine.
Arya heaved the vermin behind a tree, out of sight of Redwall, and went back to the spot near the Abbey wallgate.
OOC: Corny, its great to see you back, but there were only two vermin, and Jett's characters took the other one away. ;D (By the way Jett, why are you not posting?)
BIC: Toka snatched the cordial, and downed it in one gulp. The cool drink seemed to bring him back almost, "Its none of your business!" Toka growled, his guard back up, and his eyes turning hard.

Perry had gone looking for Arya, since when he'd gone back to the Orchard looking for her, and not finding her, he had become concerned. So, he was wandering around the huge abbey grounds, and had successfully got himself lost.
Perry was in fact despairing that he would never find his way back to the Abbey let alone find Arya. He had tried following his footprints in the snow, but kept getting lost since others beasts had also been walking around here. It was then he saw a young otter, probably in his late teens, ice skating on a frozen pond. Perry called out to him, "Um, excuse me!"

Magnus heard some calling to him, but afraid it was someone who had found out that he had knocked out that squirrel, he pretended not to hear.

Kaijo finished stowing the vermin corpse in the forest and made his way back to the abbey "Thanks for the help" he said to Arya who had already finished with her vermin
Arnath sighed and smiled, That was more like the Toka she knew. "I'm glad your back," She said cheerfully.
"And now your back!" chuckled Lagg, removing his paw from Arnath's shoulder which became more of a unintentional grip since Toka was still in the coma and that the the squirrel wasn't acting as himself when he awoke. "Well, Toka, Arnath and I were discussing about this mettle Arnath has. Seems more pieces of it look like it was connected to it." explained the otter, catching Toka up to what was going on while he was unconscious.
In the meantime the Infirmary keeper came back in to notice Toka was awake, he checked to make sure that everything was alright on Toka. He was glad to mention that the everything seemed better and he would just need to rest until the next day before he went out venturing.
OOC: If your ok with that Rachel? I mean, knowing Toka, he'll probably just sneak out if he doesn't like that, lol.

"Sir could I speak with you in the hall?" Arnath said to the herbalist "Sure no problem," he said and she followed him out. After he closed the door she began to speak her piece. "Sir you see I promised Toka that he would not be confined to the infirmary. He is going to leave weather you want him to or not. I know a thing or two about medicine. I also know a thing or two about Toka. He is a very capable best. I'll make sure he dose not have a relapse." He thought it over before agreeing. She then requested that she be the one to tell him.
Toka glared at the infirmary keeper guy, but didn't shout at him. Although he wasn't gonna let it show, he still didn't feel very well.
Arnath returned and said You are free to go as soon as you feel up to it, "Meanwhile you should drink something, no arguing that's an order, You need to stay hydrated," She said poring and handing him a glass.
"Fine, and I don't want a drink." Toka growled, turning his back on Arnath, and Lagg. "I just want to be left alone."
Arnath grinned there was the old Toka again. "Fine, whatever you say," She said. Signaling for Lagg to fallow her out of the room.
OOC: Grinned.
BIC: Toka snorted, and lay down on his none wounded side, and stared angrily at the wall.
Arya had been wandering around, then noticed Perry. Actually Perry's back, but minor detail. She walked over quietly, and said loudly, "BOO!" Then she dropped into a crouch, trying to stifle giggles. She'd found that beasts most often looked at head height, not down or up.
Lagg followed Arnath out of the infirmary, closing the door behind him. "You really must have the patience of a saint marm!" exclaimed the otter, sighing a bit. He was wondering if Toka was going to be ok, it seemed the squirrel would do something rash if not attended too. "Well, what do you suppose we do now? i did promise vittles for when ya'll would leave."
Perry jumped so much that he fell over. He then jumped up out of the snow, looking around for who had scared him.

Magus saw a squirrelmaid sneak up on the squirrel shouting at him. But then the squirrelmaid scared the other squirrel, and Magnus decided to skate over, and hear what would be said.

When Toka was finally alone, he sat up, and bolted down the scones, and the drink Arnath had offered him. Along with an entire bottle of cordial. After that, he lay back down again, curled up, and trying to control his breathing. He hadn't be that afraid in years, but he wouldn't let it show. He couldn't, fear was a sign of weakness, and he was not weak!
Arya burst out laughing, standing up. "Oh, heeheehee, you should have, hahahahaha, seen your face! Hohohoho! Priceless!" She laughed, bending over and clutching her stomach.
"Don't worry he'll take care of him self. He is just to proud to show any weakness. I am sorry for him really. I am sure when we come back the scones and cordial will be gone." Arnath said with a grin.
"I bet your right marm!" smiled Lagg, heading off towards the kitchen. "If you would like Arnath, you can stay with Toka or come with me. I was going to get ya'lls vittles ready."
"Ha, ha, very funny." Perry said sarcastically, as he brushed snow off of himself.
"Well, at least you should have learned something: Look up and down, as well as left and right." She said cheerfully, recovering herself somewhat. Until she saw Perry's grumpy face, then she started laughing again.
"I'll come with you, I think that Toka would like to be alone for a bit, besides the kitchen is the best smelling place I have ever smelled," Arnath said cheerily.
Lagg nodded as he held Arnath's paw, leading her nose back to the kitchen which they had previously passed on the way to the infirmary when Toka was still in his coma. "So Arnath, what else can you tell me about yourself?" asked Lagg, as he could smell the food in the kitchen slowly getting stronger.
Perry huffed, and was about to shout at Arya, when suddenly he saw the funny side. Anyway, it didn't really matter.

Magnus had heard the whole conversation, if you could call it that. He simply eye rolled, and continued skating around the pond, muttering to himself.

Toka lay, curled up on the infirmary bed. Alone, with his thoughts, trying to keep himself calm. But he was defiantly failing.
The walls kept closing in on him, so did the ceiling. They kept trying to trap him, imprison him, lock him away. Toka found himself sitting up, covering his ears, and shutting his eyes tightly, and roking backwards, and forwards moaning all the time. Somewhere in the abbey a door was slammed, it made Toka jump so much he fell off the bed. Then all the noise began filling his sensitive ears. Creatures walking, footsteps, doors opening, and closing. Little ones running around, and screaming, the sound of someone dropping something. All the sounds of daily life in a community filled Toka's head, and it was overwhelming him.
Sister Anise came to the Infirmary to see if there was anything she could use on her head, which was aching dreadfully, and saw Toka on the floor. She walked over quietly and knelt. "Are you alright?"
OOC: oooh Toka's gonna bite her head off!
BIC:
"Well I lived in the forest all my life I have a little house in the woods not to far from a nice vole family. I would often go over and visit them. some times Me and miss Vole would have some tea together. Mr. Vole Would some times come over and help me trim the vines that grew up the north face of my house when they threatened to take over. In the spring it would grow the most sweet smelling flowers. There was a pare of crows that lived near us. They would keep the vermin away. Oh they could be cranky but they where quite nice once you got to know them. The old crows wife died one winter and he was never the same. His eye sight was going and he was getting aches and pains in the wings and claws. He stayed at home mostly then and was more cranky then ever but who's to blame him. That was when the foxes came. There was a small band of foxes that decided that me and the vole family and one or two others in that aria there about where good targets. They would come around every so often talking whatever they wished. There where only five of them but none of use where ever a match for them. That was when Toka came along. He got rid of the foxes though he was severely wounded in the process. I bound him up as best I could under the circumstances and we them made our way here. It did't feel right to just leave him in the state he was in at the time... and now, well, lets just say I have taken a liking to the squirrel," By the time she had finished the smell of the kitchen was all around. she took in a deep whiff of the different aromas. Some where familiar yet many where not.
Toka's eyes snapped open, and he lunged at the Sister, knocking her to the ground. His amber eyes were blazing, and there was a slight madness in them.
"AGGG! STOP! JUST STOP!" Toka screamed, curling back up on the floor, almost sobbing, desperately trying to block all the noise out.
Anise flung her paws out, stopping herself from cracking the floor. She winced, as noise was a small painful for her, too. Then she had an idea. She slipped over to the cupboards, opened one, and drew out two tufts of cotton. Going back over, she held them out. "Here, this will help." She whispered, then she put them on the floor and left the Infirmary, without getting what she had come for.
Toka peeked out from between his hands, and saw the two cotton buds. He had no idea what they were, or what he was supposed to do with them.
Arya brushed a little snow off Perry, which he'd missed, and sighed.
"So.....now what?" Perry asked, straightening his jacket.
"I don't know." Arya said, shrugging almost listlessly. "I suppose we could go back. . . " She said slowly, almost wincing at tghe thought of the throng of eager Redwallers.
"Ok, then." Perry smiled.

Toka lay there glaring at the cotton buds curiously. But then a little on down the hall began to scream, and cry, and Toka couldn't take it anymore.
He grabbed his sword, dagger, and belt from under the bed, (he had no idea how any of it had gotten there) and quickly put the belt on as he strode determinedly towards the window.
"How do you stand it, being so close to so many people? People who could turn on you, force you to spill your secrets?" Arya asked, turning to go back to the Abbey.
"Um, Arya? These creatures aren't gonna hang you from the ceiling, and threaten to burn you, unless you tell them every single thing about yourself." Perry said very slowly.

Toka reached the window, and flung it open, then climbed onto the windowsill. He needed to get somewhere quiet, somewhere no one would, or could bother him. The roof would do, no one else could get up there.
"I know that much. But, still. . . . " Arya said, slightly miffed. Then she sighed again, and murmured, "I guess I've just got far too many secrets."
The otter listened intently to Arnath's rather tragic tale. "I'm sorry that happened to you marm. I don't know what it must have been like, I mean, I never knew my parents or family so that's about as much as I can think of how it must have felt." explained Lagg, he then had a strange thought run through his mind a quick second. Something didn't feel right, which the otter had no idea what it could be. "Excuse me Arnath, I don't mean to shorten our visit to the kitchen, but I think we need to head back to the Infirmary, I just have this strange feeling we shouldn't have left Toka." He kind of wondered if the blind mouse maiden had the same feeling or not.
"aye! your right," She said. she had felt the same way. A wave of unease and then her sharp ears had picked out the voice of the mouse sanding behind her at the end of the hall. He was not shouting yet his voice carried clearly. "Remember, take care of Toka," Then like that he was gone. She tuned and started back the way they had come not needing Lagg's help.
Perry smiled, "We all have secrets, and we all seem to keep them."

Toka made sure he had a firm paw grip, then began climbing up the outside of the Abbey wall.
The freezing wind buffeted him, trying to make him fall, but Toka kept going. It was icy cold, but somehow he felt better for being outside. He felt free, like he could do anything he wanted, whenever he wanted. As he climbed he lost his footing for a moment, and almost fell. But he quickly recovered, and continued upwards, he was doing quite well.
"I suppose that's true." Arya murmured, tipping her head back, her eyes closed. But if they were open, then she would be staring at the sky.
Arnath entered the infirmary ahead of Lagg. She herded the quiet of the room and felt a ice cold breeze hit her face from the open window. Lose paper slipped across the floor brushing against her footpaw and the shutters hung open tapping against the wall. "He's gone!"
Lagg followed Arnath back into the Infirmary and peered out the window after the mousemaid mentioned he was gone. He looked down and then back up slamming his fist on the windowpane. "He's way up top marm!" the otter said angrily, unsure why he was so mad. "Toka! Get down from there!"yelled Lagg, hoping the squirrel heard his call. Even though he wasn't a squirrel he had to have known the walls of the Abbey would be slick with ice on some parts of it.
Toka heard that ******* otter yelling at him, but the wind was blowing in his ears, so he didn't hear what he said. Really, it only made him climb faster.

"Are you alright?" Perry asked Arya, looking up also, to see what she was looking at. Not noticing her eyes her closed, but he saw a tiny figure, climbing the outside of the Abbey. "What the hell?!?" Perry said rather loudly.
"That's not gonna work Lagg. He is just going to climb higher that way." She said shaking her head and going over to the window. It was true Arnath could do many thing that a sighted person could do some things even better but when It came to climbing she was useless. Instead she shouted up after him "Toka, please come down, its to dangerous. Your finger will go numb with cold and you'll lose your grip! Not even a healthy squirrel could scale the walls in this weather let alone one in your condition,"
This time Toka faintly heard a voice, Arnath's. But he didn't hear all of it, and it didn't make much sense, so he kept climbing. Then the mouse appeared.
"Toka stop!" He shouted.
Toka was taken aback to say the least, how had a mouse in armour come to be climbing the wall as well? And how did he know his name?
"Toka," the mouse commanded, "Go back immediately! This is not your day to die, and if you continue you will certainly die."
Toka was dumbstruck, but then the mouse gave him the kind of look his father had given him years ago, after he had cut the ears off of some other kid. So, even surprising himself, Toka began to climb back down towards the window.
Lagg was thankful that Toka decided to finally come back down, and quickly went to get a some warm water ready for him when he came back through. "I'm glad Toka has someone like you to keep a watch on him marm..!" praised the otter, setting the warm water on a table nearby. He went by Arnath's side to watch Toka's climb back down hoping the squirrel makes it back down safely.
Arnath sighed relieved "So that means hes coming back down then?" She said revealed. She had been unable to tell where the squirrel was because of the wind but she stayed by the window just the same waiting for him to come back down to her.
Toka reached the window, and climbed back in. He was very pale, and his paws were shaking. He turned, and looked at Arnath with fearful eyes. "I'm going insane."
Arnath could hear the waver in his voice. She took his paw and said " You should sit down and tell me what happened?" hopefully he had had enough of a shock to make him comply. She wished that Lag would leave, Toka was more open when there where less people in the room, so she said "Lagg can you go back down to the kitchen and get us some hot tea," She said if Toka didn't want it then she would drink it.

BIC: Arya was immediately startled out of her thoughts. "Wha-?" She started to say, then she noticed Toka. "It's that crazy squirrel." She said, started to jog over. But before she'd gone far, he turned around and started back. She breathed a sigh of relief.
Lagg nodded and understood why Arnath wanted him to step out for now. "I'll be back in a few marm." said the otter, leaving the mousemaid and squirrel behind. He closed the door and headed down to the kitchen, taking a slight detour to the tapestry of Martin. "Oh Martin, if you were here now...." at that moment, he became light headed. He put a paw to his forehead, bracing himself on the long table that stood in front of the tapestry.
"Lagg....! ...Go with them...!" a soft whisper flooded his mind, which Lagg tried to make out the voice. He tried his best to think of who the voice belonged to, but the nausea-like state of his mind made it difficult to think. And as quickly as it happened, the lightness in his head went away and he was left with confusion as no other beast was near him. The otter went grim faced as he made his way back to the kitchen, pouring a hot cup of tea and heading back to the Infirmary.
Toka did sit, but his face was changing from being scared, to confused. "I keep seeing things." He almost whispered, looking at the floor. "Just........crazy things."
"Well if you are going crazy then I must be too. I keep hearing an impossible mouse," She said smiling.
Toka's head snapped up, and he looked directly at Arnath. "A mouse? did you say you keep seeing a mouse?"
Arnath started at Tokas startled abruptness and tone "Why yes he is a mouse, The fact that I am seeing him I another matter all together. I do hear him and hes held my paw before but he always sounds somewhat wrong, Like he is not real in the same place as you are, if you know what I mean." She said.
"Does standing on the wall above you in full armour count as wrong?" Toka said sarcastically, running his hand through his head fur.

"What was he doing up there?" Perry gasped, as he saw Toka go back in.
"Yes I would say so! But your not going mad least If you are then I am too. He would come into my room in the middle of the night all dressed in armour like you said sometimes he would tell me things then he would just disappear" She said her voice growing soft.
OOC: Too, and armour.
BIC: Toka sighed deeply, but then suddenly the walls began closing in on him again. He gripped the chair arm tightly, almost breaking it. "I have to get out of this room, this building. There's just too much noise." He gasped, noise filling his ears.
"Right Come on lets go, but this time down the stairs," Arnath said. She of all people understood what the squirrel meant. Sometimes there where so many noises she had trouble making them all out. It was very disorienting. She took his paw and started for the door.
Toka pulled his paw out of her grasp, and walked to the door himself, his arms crossed.
She sighed and shook her head before following him out the door. Lagg would probably be able to figure out by himself what happened. She hoped.
As soon as Toka was in the hall, he just about starting screaming. The noise was terrible out here, a group of yelling Dibbuns came running past, and Toka covered his ears, and began swearing.
"Shhh!" She chided his language but understood his agony and dragged him back into the infirmary. "I'll go get you a rope so you can climb out the window," She said and then left him alone hoping he would not do anything foolish in her absence.
OOC: There was a bit of PP there I can change it if you have a problem.
OOC: Its fine.
BIC: Toka however, even back in the infirmary did not stop swearing. In fact he got worse, and began kicking, and punching the walls.
Arnath went as fast as she could the first able bodied beast she came to she asked where she could find some rope. The mouse pointed her in the direction of the cellars but then realizing his mistake he explained it to her. She then went as fast as she could to the kitchen where she was slowed down quite a bit by the stairs to the cellar. She mad it however and with some help of the cellerhog She found a suitable rope. giving the excuse that they needed it to get somethings from the infirmary out side without taking trips. He was glad to help and soon she was on her way back to the infirmary, but was it soon enough.
Arya shrugged, "I have no idea. But he's back in now." She said, frowning, and not wztching where she was going. She fell down with a yelp, scratching her shin on a sharp rock. "Ow." She muttered, sitting up and examining the wound. She reached and grabbed the rock. "Who leaves rocks out here where the little ones could trip on it?" She grumbled.
During the time of making it back to the infirmary, Lagg bumped into Arnath carrying a rope. "Being adventurous marm?" smiled the otter. "Toka's escaping, eh?" The otter figured the squirrel was probably ready to leave by now, but thinking this it brought the thought of what the voice told him in his head again. Lagg's face went showed a look of empty space even though the otter was aware what he was saying and the like, "...Arnath? I think I have to go with you and Toka."
We won't be going anywhere. least not yet. Toka just needs to go somewhere quiet. You don't mind if we bunk out in the gatehouse for the time being?" she said
"I don't see that being a problem, but it might be a bit colder out there though." explained Lagg. "Oh, I got the hot tea you asked for, I hope it'll be enough for Toka or you!"
As Toka kicked the living day lights out of the infirmary walls, he kept seeing things. Water, ships, walls, writing, and a ton of other stuff which was all blurred.
"WHAT'S HAPPENING!" He screamed, trying to block all the images.
Just then they where close enough to hear Toka and Arnath bolted off saying "Could you just leave that in the gatehouse please!" before she was gone. Arnath burst into the Infirmary and giving Toka a wide birth she dumped it on one of the beds. "Here you go. Now get out of here!" She said
Lagg could tell the urgency in Arneth's voice after hearing what was going on in the Infirmary. He nodded and headed towards the gatehouse to get things ready. He made it outside when he saw a squirrel was hurt by the pond, he rushed over to her and noticed her knee was scraped. "Are you ok marm?" asked Lagg, making sure no serious injury was needed immediate attention too.
Toka jumped round, as Arnath spoke. He saw the rope, and ran, and grabbed. Then he rushed over to the window, tied one end of the rope to the leg of one of the beds, and threw the rest of it out of the window. Without a word, he was out of the window, and climbing down.

Perry knelt down next to Arya. "Are you alright?" He asked, worried.
Arnath just stood there listening to his decent. She was tired. To much had just happens and all she wanted to do was sit down and have that cup of tea. She slowly turned and made her way back threw the abbey to meet with her squirrel friend down on the grounds.
Arya grabbed some snow. "I should be fine." The squirrelmaid said softly, clearly unused to having someone worry.
Lagg noted that the other good beast next to the slightly injured squirrelmaid would help her and he went on back to the gatehouse to get things ready for the Arnath and Toka. After arriving, he explained to the gatehouse keeper what was happening, whom was glad to have the company for awhile. The otter sat the cup of still hot tea down on a table near an extra bed that was used for extra abbey dwellers to sleep in.
Toka was nearly at the bottom of the rope. He could see two squirrels down on the lawns. Oh, no, it was those two squirrels.
Toka let go of the rope, and fell the rest of the way. As he hit the ground, he went into a roll, then ended up on one knee in the snow.

Perry wasn't so sure, "Are you sure your alright? It doesn't need stitches or anything, does it?"
Arya had put the snow on her leg, and pressed. Now, she moved it and examined the scratch. "Yes, I should fine if I'm careful." She decided, rightly. "I just need a bandage, or something."
Perry, without a thought, ripped a stripe of materiel from the hem of his cloak. "Will this do?" He asked, offering it to Arya.
"Yes, thank you." Arya said, surprised, as she took the strip and started wrapping it around her shin.
Arnath made her way threw the abbey building and out into the grounds.

Raxanna had gathered the men and they where making their way towards the abbey keeping a low profile. A young scrawny ferret named Skiltch marched along at the back of the troop watching Ringtale and Dragut. The two have been here before anyone else however think they where they might know something about where they where going and why.
Perry half smiled awkwardly, when suddenly he looked up, and saw Toka striding towards them. He looked half mad.

Toka had seen the two squirrels, and had begun going towards them. Really cus he was spoiling for a fight, and he knew one of these two would give it to him.
Arnath rounded the corner and stopped alarmed. it took her a few moments to correctly process what she was hearing but now she was sure. "Toka?" She called as if she didn't know exactly where he was and what he was doing and what he was thinking at this very moment.
Arya looked up, too, and frowned. This was not going to turn out well, she was sure of it.
Toka heard her, but ignored her. He had to let it all out, now. "Hey you ******* lovebirds. Do you want a moment alone or something?" Toka sneered.
Perry could feel his temper rising, couldn't this guy just leave them alone. "Just go away!"
"Make me, oh wait. You can't, your too scared." Toka was only a few paces away from them now.
"I'm not scared of you, or anything!!" Perry growled, gritting his teeth.
"Yeah, right." Toka said sarcastically.
Arnath Cringed visibly what Toka started to verbally attack the two. Then it started to get bad. The two would be at each others throats in a minute. She ran over and placed herself between the two. "STOP THIS AT ONCE!" she shouted.
Lagg could hear some argument coming from outside. He ventured outside to notice Toka arguing with the same good beast that was helping the squirrel maiden. He ran up to the group in hopes of dispersing the argument. "Hey! There'll be no fighting in the Abbey!" exclaimed Lagg. "If for some reason you two have it out for each other, have ya'll silly little fight outside of Redwall, but not in it." He was glad to see Arnath was there to help calm the two down.
"I don't follow rules otter." Toka spat.
"Well obviously!" Perry snarled, his paw straying towards his bow.
"Both of you!" Arnath shouted sill between them a weaver in her voice "Stop acting like vermin and start acting like civilized beasts!" She turned to Toka "If you need to let something out go fight the enemy not each other! and you!" She said turning on Perry "Don't let him get to you, he is manipulating you! This is exactly what he wants, a fight, don't give it to him!"
"Like vermin? Civilised? Enemy?" Toka shouted, "Ok, then I am a vermin. I'm ****** well not civilised. And everyone is my enemy. I've been living in a tiny cell for the last ****** season, and a half! When I got out, I killed as many of those ***** vermin as possible, then set the place alit. I'm not civilised. And don't you ever tell me what to do again!"
Perry couldn't hold it much longer, he wanted to listen to the mouse, but he wanted to take this Toka down a peg or two even more. When Toka began swearing his head off, Perry grabbed his bow, and an arrow, was going to fire it when TWANG! Toka had moved round Arnath, and had cut Perry's bow string with his dagger. Perry was furious, this bow was so precious to him, and that squirrel had just ruined it.
Perry ran at Toka shouting, Toka laughed, and put his dagger back in his belt, then punched Perry hard in the face. Perry was knocked to the ground, but he got back up, and went for Toka. Toka dodged, and kicked Perry in the back of the knee. Perry cried out in pain, and fell to the ground. Toka then kicked him the stomach, then the head. then he just began kicking the **** out of him.
Arnath had been about to do something completely unthinkable, Give Toka a sound punch in the nose when he made his first move. "Stop, stop, Please!" She shouted putting her paws on her ears and hugging her head, sobbing without tears.
Lagg watched as the two broke out into violence. For some reason he stood in disbelief as the two began attacking each other, until Perry was knocked to the ground again and Toka started wailing on him. "I'm glad your blind Arnath, I wouldn't want you to see what is happening. But I'm sorry, someone's got to help stop this..." said Lagg, alittle uneasy about what he was about to do. Going against what he just said about fighting in the Abbey, he wanted this quarrel to end. He dropped his sword on the ground and quickly made a tackle towards Toka in hopes to knock him down and give Perry a chance to get back up.
Perry screamed in agony, he was blacking out. Toka was cruelly kicking him hard. Perry's face was covered in blood, then Toka kicked him in the face again, and he saw stars, then everything went black.
Toka was enjoying Perry's pain, when he saw Lagg coming for him. He leapt back, out of the way of the otter.
"Toka! Stop! Look at yourself! Your not a vermin! We aren't your enemies! I think your just misunderstood, and your surrounded by good beasts who care for you! If you don't open up your eyes and see that, then I have declared you blinder than Arnath..!" Lagg didn't care to say that last bit, even though it seemed true to him.
Toka laughed, "Well, maybe I am blind then!" He swung a right hook at Lagg, and then an upper-cut, with his left paw.
Arnath still sobbing ran over to Perry and dropped down beside him. She felt his head and her paw came a way with blood. A sickening horrible feeling filled her heart. She lifted his head onto her lap.
OOC: PP a little if that is ok.
Lagg missed the first blow Toka dolled out, but the upper cut made contact with his jaw as it stumbled him back a feet or so. He shook his head alittle from the the blow, but was quickly back on the offensive. He knew the squirrel was fast on his feet and the otter knew his surroundings well. If he could find a way to get Toka near the frozen pond. That would help cool things down. Lagg quickly made a swing with his rudder tail at Toka's midsection in hopes to knock him closer to the frozen pond.
OOC: Also, Toka has a wounded side, and that's ok Faiy.
BIC: Toka tried to avoid Lagg's rudder, and almost did. But the end of it hit him, and it knocked him off balance momentarily. But then he was ok again, and kicked out at Lagg's stomach.

Magnus who had just finished skating, was making his way back to the Abbey, when he saw Lagg, and some squirrel having a punch up. There was a mouse, and two other squirrels there too.
The Squirrel wasn't dead he was still breathing but unconscious. The worst part about all of this was that it was pointless. pointless violence. None of it needed to happen.
OOC: Ya forgot about that, lol.
BIC: Lagg didn't expect the blow to his stomach as he was knocked back, air leaving his lungs for a moment, as he tried to regain his breath."Toka....son fire and darkness or whatever. More like son of cowardness....! Can't even, face the truth when it's right in front of him..!" the otter smiled, he knew it would be hard to get Toka to the pond, so he tried to think of any other way to wear the squirrel out. He got back up, wiping some blood from the side of his mouth that had started to show from the earlier uppercut. He rushed towards the squirrel, hoping to land a few hits into Toka's wound.
It was at this point that Kaijo and Misak came upon the scene. Kaijo stared at the brawling creatures with a look of disbelief "What the actual ****?"
Misak pointed at the black and red squirrel "That one there is crazy, he was shouting loud enough to wake the dead while you were in the infirmary. He's probably the cause of this"
"Alright then, guess we'll have to do something about that" Kaijo ripped Misak's crossbow from her back, loaded up a bolt and leveled it at the squirrel "Stop right now or I'll put a bolt through your heart!" he yelled
Toka didn't hear the cats, he blood lust had taken him over. He lashed out at Lagg's face with his fist. "Coward? I'm no coward! When was the last time you stormed a castle all by yourself, and destroyed the place!"
"Blind killing is cowardice... When you can't face someone in peace when your given the choice... a true warrior is some on who know when not to fight!" Arnath shouted her voice betraying the pain which she felt in her heart.
Lagg took the beatings was more inclined to not give up, he could barely see two cats behind them, one looking like it was holding a bow and arrow. Without thinking, the otter put himself between the one holding the bow and arrow and Toka. After a spite moment of relief from the squirrel, he quickly used his rudder on Toka's wound, hoping to slow the squirrel down a bit. 'Your right! I haven't, but that doesn't mean I wouldn't know what it would feel like. But there is good in you! I saw it when we were in the Infirmary...!" At that moment, the otter figured out why Toka came down from the wall so easily. "It was Arnath that had you come down..was it...? Martin spoke to you.."
Toka screamed in pain was Lagg hit his wound side, and what Arnath, and him were saying just made him more angry. He drew his dagger, and stabbed at Lagg's shoulder blindly. Everything was going red, the blood lust was turning into bloodwrath.
The otter didn't expect the squirrel to draw a blade, the maddened squirrel made contact with his shoulder. He cursed under his breath at the pain coarsing through his arm. Blood slowly poured out of the wound, unable to barely move it. He was unable to battle the squirrel, but despite the pain, he still made his stand in front of the squirrel. He looked behind him and saw Arnath crying. "Toka! I can't fight you anymore! You won! But for what? Just to have Arnath in tears from the sheer fact that you can't have anyone help you? And from being to stubborn to see that?" asked Lagg, hoping the squirrel would soon snap out of his rage.
Toka was too far gone all sound was gone. He couldn't hear a thing, everything was going black, and white, except the brilliant sight of blood. The crimson blood showed through clearly, Toka could feel himself longing for more blood. There was a crazed, murderous look in his eyes. He gripped his dagger more tightly, ready to stab it into the otter's heart.
OOC: Someone knock him out please.
Arnath was scared she had never been truly scared by Toka before. She cried without tears and covered her ears. she couldn't listen any longer. She wished Perry would wake up his still noiseless body just made it worse. Arnath finally realized what Toka was capable of. This was only going to end in more bloodshed, Toka was going to kill some one if he wasn't stopped, and there was nothing she could do about it.
Kaijo hissed in frustration and fired the bolt into the ground "No point making threats you won't back up is there?" he spat bitterly "**** this, I'm out. I'll be up on the battlements when everyone's ready to be reasonable"
"There's no shame in not killing someone" said Misak softly
"There is if they're attempting to kill someone else"
"I doubt any of those gathered here would have gone through with it"

"Oh for crying out loud!" Misak picked up a rock from the ground and threw it as hard as she could at Toka "I may not want you dead, but if you're injured, that's fine by me!"
Toka was about to stab Lagg when the rock hit him slap bang in the forehead. He was knocked to the ground dazed.
Lagg sighed as the squirrel was knocked on the head by a rock. "...oh Toka...what are we going to do...?" asked the otter to the dazed Toka. He staggered over to Arnath and Perry. "...I can help carry the young squirrel up to the Infirmary if you wish. It seems we'll never be out of that room anytime soon."
Toka felt his eyes close, darkness surrounding him.

Magnus came running over, "What's been going on here?"
"Aye," was all that Arnath could manage at the moment she moved over to let Lagg take Perry. She didn't know what to do. Part of her wanted to go to Toka the other just wanted to get as far away from him as possible.
Perry groaned, and stirred slightly. His eyes flickered for a moment. "What happened?"
OOC: Gotta go, BYE!
OOC: Alrighty! Cya!
BIC: Lagg was glad to have noticed Perry waking up and waved over to Magnus. He explained to Perry what happened while the squirrel was unconcious. "That's about it, Toka's dazed for right now, hopefully when he wakes up, he'll be in a better mood. Lagg extended his arm out to help Perry up and take him to the Infirmary so they could both be looked at. "Come on mate, lets get these injuries looked at."
Arnath was about to answer Perry but found that she really didn't now how. It was all to much for her to put into words, and she was more afraid than ever that Toka would not be better when he came too. Locking him up would not help his mood at all and the only option that she could see was that the peaceful abbey beasts where going to kick him out, injured or not. He had physically assaulted another creature with out proper provocation and there could be very little forgiveness for that here. She then realized that if he was cast out there was the high likely hood that he would only return and climb the walls. She did not want to think of what he would do then. The only other option was to lock him up. Another thing she realized as well was that he had not hurt her. She had stood between the two and he had not even shoved her out of the way. He had steeped around her. Even if he did not realize it he had some feelings for her. There was some good in him somewhere.
Magnus came over, and heard Lagg tell Perry everything that had gone on. "I'll that guy up in a spare room in the Cellars. The Abbot, and the elders can then decide what to do with him." Magnus said firmly, walking over to Toka. He picked him up, and put him over his shoulder. Staggering a little, he headed off towards the Abbey.
Perry was still too dazed to say anything. He took Lagg's paw muttering something about Toka being evil under his breath though.
Arnat got to her feet and made her way along with the others back to the abbey and the infirmary.

Lagg wrapped his arm under Perry to give the squirrel support as they headed towards the Infirmary. "..It's obvious Toka can be more than a handful some times, but to be honest. I don't want to tie him like a vermin. We need to somehow show him that he can trust others. I think he would be more than willing to try considering how well he is with Arnath." explained Lagg. His shoulder that was stabbed was starting to become a numbed pain thanks the cold air outside.

BIC: Arya had curled up into a ball in the snow, internally screaming
"Make it stop!" in her head while all the craziness was going on. At the sound of Perry's screams, the squirrelmaid flinched, but stayed curled. Now, though, she stood up, numbly, and followed Lagg.
Lagg turned back to see Arya in pain following behind. "Hang on one second Perry..!" said Lagg, removing his support from around him. He went back to give support to Arya on his bad arm. He figured with her light form it wouldn't be as much strain on the wound as if Perry was on that side. "There you go marm, let's hurry up and get us all back inside. None of need to be in this cold any longer than we have been..!"
Arnath Who seemed to be the only one in good heath after the fight rushed on a head of the rest and got to the infirmary first. Once there she got to work right away and grabbed her satchel searching threw it to make sure everything was there. She then told the infirmary helper on duty that wounded would be coming up in a moment that need to be tended to. She also asked if she could have some extra bandages. She was given them and then left before the sister could ask any more questions. Arnath then started down the hall to the cellars.
"Who are you calling marm?" Arya asked, lightly leaning on Lagg. "Is Perry aalright-ish?" The squirrelmaid asked, quietly.
Perry almost fell over, but leaned on a nearby tree which helped keep him upright.

Magnus had reached the Cellars, and briefly told the Cellarkeeper what had happened. They then found an empty store room in the Cellar, put Toka in it, and locked the door. "He'll come round in not too long." The Cellarkeeper, and old hedgehog by the name of Gug Spikeback, mused.
Arnath came down to the kitchen and after asking a kitchen helper for a canteen of water and a bowl She made her way down the cellar stairs. At the bottom she could hear The cellar keeper and the other otter from the side gate talking. She made her way to them. "May I see Toka," She asked.
They both jumped, not hearing her come up behind them. "Um, missy." Gug said slowly, "You better leave that one alone until the Abbot, and the elders have decided what to do with him."
"He's injured and I need to tend to him," She said standing her ground "I know him, he wont hurt me,"
"He hurt Lagg, and that other squirrel." Magnus muttered.
"But he didn't hurt me. Now I would like to start before he comes too. he will be a lot more cooperative that way." Arnath said.
"Who to say he won't hurt you when he wakes up." Magnus argued.
"The fact is, is that some beasts got to tend to him and I'm the only one who he seems to somewhat tolerate. Now I would like to get most of this done before he wakes up," She said.
Magnus was about to argue, but Gug stopped him. "Fine, but only if Magnus is in there too. I'm not having you in there alone. Even though we've taken his weapons off him, it still doesn't mean he's not dangerous." Gug gestured to Toka's sword, and still bloodied dagger on a shelf behind him. Gug wasn't aware Arnath was blind.
" Alright but please stay out of the way and don't intervene or say anything unless it is absolutely necessary," She said. She had a bad feeling about this. She felt like having some one else there would just cause a problem but if that was the only way then it would have to do.
Magnus nodded, "Fine."
"Ok, then." Gug nodded solemnly, he took the key off his belt, and unlocked the door. Magnus strolled inside, "Gug will have to lock us in." He commented.
"That's To be expected," She said softly. she strained her ears but could not tell where Toka was "Wheres Toka?" she asked hating the question. She should be able to do it herself.
"In the middle of the floor." Magnus eye rolled. "If you want I can get a lantern."
Gug locked the door, and wandered off to find the Abbot, to tell him what had happened.
"Well stuff that idea." Magnus sighed, seeing the hedgehog leave.
"No need," Arnath said "It would not make a difference," She knelt down beside Toka and got to work. Changing bandages and cleaning him up.
Lagg helped Arya up to the infirmary while on the way helping Perry up to the room too. "He's doing better. Things could have been alot worse though if the two cats hadn't come along." explained Lagg.
Perry mumbled something about that he could have handled it. And that he let Toka win.

Magnus didnt know what she meant but just sigh, and sat down by the door.
After Arnath replaced his old dressings she began work on his head where the rock had hit him. This was the second time today he had been knocked out if he didn't have a concussion he would at least have a massive head ache which would not improve his mood.
Arya blinked, then shushed Perry. "Hush, Perry. Don't talk."
Lagg finally got them and himself to the Infirmary, setting both of them on two seperate beds. "Get them looked at first, I can wait..!" said Lagg. He sat down on a chair and looked at his wound which was starting to slowly stop bleeding.
Perry weakly sat down on the edge of a bed, and let the infirmary keeper fuss about him.

Toka began to wake slowly. He didn't move, but his eyes opened. He looked around the dark room, his head throbbing. He was aware of two beasts in the room too. He saw one was Arnath, the other Toka guessed was a young otter.
Arya waved away the Infirmary keeper when she came towards her, and patiently sat, watching.
Perry groaned slightly, and winced as the infirmary keeper washed his bloodied face. "Your gonna need some stitches, I'm afraid." the infirmary commented.
Arya made a small face at the mention of stitches, and was glad that she didn't need them. She hoped. But, she did feel sorry for Perry. . . Having yourself face being sewn up with a needle just didn't sound much fun. Or pain-free.
Perry groaned, but nodded, "Fine."
"Ok, I'll get my things." The infirmary keeper said, almost apologetically.
After the Infirmary keeper moved, Arya moved over and sat beside Perry. "Perry, I just wanted to say I'm sorry. I should have done something, but instead I just curl;ed up into a ball." She apologized.
Arnath noticed Tokas changed in breathing and a relieved smile crept across her face. "Your back," She said softly knowing that loud noises would make his head hurt even more than it did. Luckily it was quiet down in the cellars. "Here put this on you'r head, It will ease the swelling and make it so it wont hurt so much later," She said handing him a cool damp cloth. She hoped that by listing the benefits he would be more likely to cooperate.
Perry winced as the infirmary keeper began to sew. "Its ok, Arya. Ow! It was my fault. I shouldn't have given in to him. Ouch!"

Toka's breathing became faster, and deeper. He began looking around him as if he couldn't work out where he was, or what had happened. "Where...where...where am I?" He tried to sit up, he was beginning to panic.
"Don't blame yourseslf Perry, if anything the fault belongs to whatever fort Toka mentioned. Arnath knows Toka has goodness in him and I believe her." explained Lagg. He watched as the Infirmary mended to Perry's wound, knowing his time was coming up to have his stitches.
"Fort? What fort?" Perry asked. If Toka had said anything about a fort to him, he hadn't been listening.
Arnath's look of relief quickly changed to one of worry and pain. She didn't know how to brake it to him and she realized that lying would just make it worse. "They had to put you somewhere you couldn't hurt anyone else, I don't want em to, really," She said and it was evident in the blind mouses tone that she was truly distressed about the entire situation.
Arya let it go, but she still felt uilty. Then she just sat quietly and listened.
OOC: oops meant castle my bad :P
BIC: "Now that I think about it, I believe he said a castle actually." explained Lagg. He glanced over at Arya making sure she was still looking well. "So I'm guessing ya'll two know Toka and Arnath also?" asked Lagg, trying to understand the connection between everyone. He was wondering why Toka would all of a sudden start picking a fight with Perry.
"I don't." Arya said simply. That was all there was to say.
"I only met him the other night, ow!" Perry replied.

Toka could feel the walls closing in. "Why? What happened? What did I do?" He could only vaguely remember the fight, but it was all blurred, and disconnected.
"You attacked Perry, Their afraid that you would go berserk again," She said
"Who's Perry?" Toka looked around him, he could feel himself just wanting to run away, and get outside.
Magnus was watching the whole thing from his corner. He held his breath, ready to leap forward, and protect Arnath if necessary.
"It's Ok, maybe you should sit up against the wall. Drink this," She said handing him the canteen. "Perry was the other squirrel," She then said.
Toka sat up against the wall, and drank deeply from the canteen. "Why did I attack him?" Toka asked, his voice not sounding like it normally did. Usually it sounded confidant, and strong, now it sounded terrified.
"I don't know," Arnath said truly worried now. Toka had just done as she asked without arguing and by the tone in his voice she could tell he was was scared.
Toka didn't say anything, he just looked around worriedly. "Who's that?" He nodded towards Magnus.
"They wouldn't let me see you alone, I tried to reason with them but it was no use," Arnath said.
"Fine." Toka closed his eyes, and rested his head against the cold wall. Trying to calm himself down. "So....what's gonna be done to me?"
"I don't know," She whispered "I promise to try and get you out of here though,"

Raxanna halted her men not to far from the abbey they could see the Walls threw the trees. "We need entry to the fort. Someone on the inside. Now Listen carefully all I have a plan an if any beast messes up I'll have them gutted! Understand"
"So before all of this, Toka, Arnath and I were up in here too and Arnath showed me a piece of mettle. Do you two know anything about it or maybe know where there would be more like it? The one she had had some inscription on it with a design forged in it. And you could also tell there's more one piece to it." inquired the otter, he had almost forgotten about the piece of mettle from earlier.
"A piece of metal? With engraving or such on it?" Perry looked surprised, "I found a piece of it at home, along with a riddle. Which told me to come here. OUCH!"

Toka nodded, afraid to say anything else least he begin shouting or something.
"So did I." Arya said.
"Are you hungry, I can get you something to eat and then I'll have a talk with the abbot," Arnath said gently.
"That's wonderful news! We should find Arnath and Toka so we can have a better understanding of what it all means!" exclaimed Lagg, ready to find out what the metals mean. He knew though that Perry and his injuries needed to be still tended too.
Toka shook his head, but didn't say anything. He felt sick, and terrible inside.
He lay down on the floor, and curled up, covering his head with his bushy tail.

The infirmary keeper had finished stitching Perry's face up. She nodded, pleased with her work. "Now, mister otter." She said turning to Lagg, "Your turn."
Arya fidgeted with the hem of her tunic, not knowing what to say.
Arnath fet really bad about leaving him. She hoped he would be ok for the time being and that he didn't get violent again before she could get him out. She stood and turned back to the otter and the door. "I need to have a talk with you abbot and whoever else is in charge," She said.
"Thank you marm..!" smiled Lagg as the Infirmary keeper began working on his shoulder, thanking that his shoulder was still numb from the cold so the needle going in his arm wasn't as terrible of a pain. "But...you know...I was reading some of the inscription and without the other pieces, you wouldn't know where to start or end." explained Lagg. "When we get back with Toka and Arnath, we should put the two we have now together."
"Three." Arya corrected with a small smile.
Perry turned to her, "So, that's why you came to Redwall." He said with a slow smile.

Magnus nodded, then began banning on the door, and shouting. "GUG! Gug! Gug get back over here!"
"Three?! That's great! I definitely can't wait to find all the pieces now!" exclaimed Lagg. The Infirmary keeper had now finished stitching his shoulder and cleaned the dry blood up.
"Shhh!" Arnath shushed him as his shouts and banging disturbed the quiet room "Keep it down, Toka's got a lump the size of a spring strawberry and major head ache to boot. Every loud noise'll split threw his head like a chisels and hammer, so if you don't mind please keep it down if at all possible. Nurses orders," She said adding the last bit hoping the otter would understand the seriousness of the matter. Though She knew that his relation with Toka was not the bet as it was with everyone she hoped the young otter would have so sense to show some respect for her patient.
"Yeah, it is." Arya replied to Perry's remark, and smiling hesitantly at Lagg.
Magnus huffed, "Fine, but else are we meant to call that half deaf hedgehog back then? Hmm?"

"I thought as much." Perry sighed, leaning against a bedpost.
"Don't worry he heard you the first time," Arnath replied to his question and before Magnus could argue there could be heard a click in the lock and Gug opened the door. Arnath thanked him quietly and then left the room.
OOC: Please see the Front Lawns.
Magnus eye rolled, but followed after her.
After they had both exited the room Gug Closed and locked the room grumbling about how there was no need to shout he was't deaf. Arnath turned to Magus and said "I need to talk to the abbot or whoever is in charge here," She said resolutely. She needed to get Toka out of that room before he lost it again. She listened carefully noting where Gug put the keys though she doubted she would need them.
Toka heard the door shut, but it sounded like it had been slammed. He covered his ears, and groaning quietly. He had to get out of here.

Magnus nodded, "Fine, the Abbot will be coming down for lunch soon. You can talk to him then."
"Thankyou I'll Wait here for him then if it is not a problem," She said. Then using her walking stick to avoid hitting anything she went over to the wall and sat with her back to it crossing her legs and began piecing to gather a mental picture of the place.
"The Abbot won't come down here, love." Magnus argued.
(OOC: :P I thought You said That he would be coming down for lunch. I assumed that he was good friends with Gug and they would have lunch together in the cellar... My bad.))

"Well then you should say that," She said jumping up and starting for the stairs.
OOC: Oops, that was a bad choice of words on my part. Sorry. :P
BIC: Magnus sighed, eye rolled, and hurried after the speedy mouse. Why him? Why was it always him?
Her pace slowed down abruptly when she reached the stairs. The cellar stairs posed a bit of a problem and it took her a bit to mount them. Then once in the kitchen the hustle and bustle fore the noon day meal was almost overwhelming. She made it out however without to much of an incident.
Magnus followed Arnath all the way, when they came into Great Hall, Magnus noticed that people were already sitting down for lunch.
Skiltch and Dragut made their way threw the forest alone Skiltch supporting the heavy rats weight. He did not like this, not at all, but what could be done. Dragut was limping his footpaw slashed up and he was limping and tracking blood in the snow. It was Raxannas doing. It was clear that Dragut feared her and would do anything to avoid her wrath. They had a story and they where to keep to it. Skilch intended to do just that... least for the moment.

Arnath turned to face Magnus, she found it made people more comfortable if she "looked" at them when she talked to them and said "Why don't we let the good abbot have his meal then I can talk to him afterwards," The situation was tender and need tact to get what she wanted. He would be in a better mood after a meal then before one.
"Ok." Magnus shrugged, "Grab a seat."

Up in the infirmary, a mouse popped up to tell everyone lunch was ready.

In the Cellar, Toka was slowly losing it. In his head, he was back in that cell, at the Castle. Toka stood up, and began running at the door, trying to break it down. Every time he ran into it, pain erupted all over his body, but he didn't stop.
Yelling, he ran at the door again. BANG! It burst open.
Toka found himself on the floor, he wondered how he had broken the sturdy door open. He looked closely, and saw he had broken the old, rusty lock on it. Well, that was that. Now, where were his weapons? Oh, there they were. Wonderful.
OOC: Oh no you didn't... Toka on the loose.
BIC: Arnath took an empty seat at the table and ran her paws along the table top and the bench to get a picture of what was there.
OOC: Loose. ;)
BIC: Toka had no idea which way to go, he didn't know where the door out of here was. He flipped a mental coin, and head left, which even though he didn't know, only lead further into the huge Cellar.
Skitch and Dragut had made it to he front abbey gate. Dragut leaned miserably against the wall while Skiltch banged on the gate to be let in.
The old gatekeeper heard the banging, and trundled out of the gatehouse, and began mounting the walltop steps.

Toka soon realized he was lost. The Cellar just went on forever.
He bit his lip, and looked around, he thought he saw something behind a pile of old caskets. He pushed the caskets over, and then fell with a loud bang, and rolled away. Aw, yes! He had been right, there was some sort of door. Toka tried to open it, but it was locked. Now, instead of running at it like last time, he took out his dagger, and tried to pick the lock.
Skilch stoped his bagning and waited while he did so he turned to Dragut and asked "Why'd ye let er do that ta yur?"
Dragut looked at him like he was insane "Yer ner' would av add any av meh left if'en a didn't," He said. "A darn't even think 'bout et, she knows what's in yer 'ead, she dose," It was clear to skiltch that The ermine had Dragut completely under her spell and that he could not be relied upon if things got ugly.
OOC: Um, what just happened?
OOC: What do you mean? Toka escaped and there are two vermin knocking on the front gate... S'about it.
OOC: Thanks. Couldn't quite make sense of it. *Starts twiddling thumbs, unneeded*
Toka smiled as the lock clicked open. He pulled the old door open, but was faced with some sort of wooden thing, that filled the entire doorway. Toka pushed it, but it was quite firm. He pushed again, and it wobbled a little.
OOC: Guys?
Skiltch banged on the door again just as the gatekeeper reached the top of the wall.

Arnath realized she should probably bring Toka some lunch. Even though he had said he was not hungry he might change his mind and he was to proud to say anything about it. She got up and made her way back to the kitchen and threw the noise and the bustle she managed to ask some one for a tray of food that she could take down. They obliged and for the third time that day she made her way down the cellar stairs.
OOC: I don't know what to do. Any thoughts?
OOC: @Corn....um...maybe Arya could come down to lunch I guess. Also, does anyone know where Lagg's gone?
BIC: Toka gave the thing one last big push, and it fell over with a loud crash. He had just broken into a store room, and what he had pushed over was some shelves. Broken jars and their contents covered the floor, along with loads of vegetables. Toka didn't care though, he just walked through the mess towards the door at the other end of the store room.
OOC: Nope, I don't.
BIC: Arya decided to go and get some lunch, and quietly slipped out of the Infirmary, giving Perry a smile, and a small wave.
OOC: Hmmmmm.
BIC: Perry saw Arya go, and got up and followed her.
Arya heard the Infirmary door shut a secoind time, and jumped, turning around with her paw on her sword hilt. When she saw it was Perry, she blushed and dropped her paw. "Ah. It's you." She said.
"Well who else would it be?" Perry joked.
Arya smiled, rather guiltily. "I was just going to go get some lunch." She said.
"Well, may I join you?" Perry asked.
"Sure, if you want." Arya said, blushing slightly, and wailking back wards theree steps to where Perry was.
"Ok, then." Perry said, taking on step forward, "Shall we go then, before its all gone?"
"Yes, let's." Arya replied, starting to walk forwards.
Perry began walking as well.
Arya started thinking, her eyes flicking here and there, automatically looking for places to escape.
When Arnath reached the bottom something felt wrong. she could not place it but something was not right. She placed the tray down on the floor and came forwarded one arm out and her walking stick sweeping the ground. She could not hear Gug anywhere and... it was to quiet. She stopped as her stick hit the door that hung open on its hinges. "Toka!" He was gone!
OOC: Could some one else play the gate house keeper I don't want to be the one accepting my vermin into the abbey. That would not be fare.
"Are you alright?" Perry asked Arya, noting her somewhat odd behaviour.

BIC: The old gatehouse keeper peered down at the two vermin, "What do you two be wanting, eh?"
"Hmm? Oh, yeah, I'nm fine. JMust thinking." Arya said, snapping out of her reverie.
"Ok.............." Perry licked his lips.
Arya fell silent again, thinking of what she could say. Just then, a few Dibbuns came around the corner ahead of them, laughing as they planned a DAB escape.
Perry watched them run past, but then they had reached the stairs leading down into Great Hall.
Arya had tensed slightly at the sight of the Dibbuns, but Perry didn't seem to have noticed. She uinwardly blew a sigh of relief, and started walking down the stairs.
Perry followed her. As he walked the smell of the good food filled his nostrils. He sighed happily, and his mouth began to water.
"Smells good, doesn't it?" Arya asked cheerfully.
Skiltch called backup to him cupping his paws to him mouth so his voice would carry. "We's come t'er warn the en'abitants of this 'ere fort! Ah wish ta speak with yer leader immediately!"

"Toka! Toka!" Arnath shouted but he was gone. She turned back, She need to find Lagg.
"Warn us of what?" The gatekeeper called down.

Toka had found the door out of the storeroom and he now stood outside in the Abbey grounds. It had begun to snow slowly, but steadily. Dark clouds filled the sky and a cold wind blew. Toka could almost feel something was about to happen. He then caught sight of the gatekeeper up on the walltop.
"We's come t'er warn the en'abitants of this 'ere fort! Ah wish ta speak with yer leader immediately!"
"Warn us of what?"
Toka heard the conversation and headed over, paw on sword hilt.
"There's a 'ord on tha way we's risked our life ta come an come ere and warn yer," Skiltch shouted up to him "Me companion es 'urt an ifen they catches up we'll be dead beasts. Let us in an we'll tell yer every thing,"
The little, old Gatekeeper gasped in shock, and began squeaking to himself in fright. "A horde? Coming to Redwall!? Oh dear! Oh dear!"
He was about to rush off to the Abbey, where he would have gone in screaming about a horde, when Toka put a restraining paw on his shoulder. "Shut up you old fool. Sit on the floor, I'll deal with this."
Toka then looked down at the two vermin, distain written all over his face. "How far away is this horde, then?"
Skiltch Looked up at the squirrel who had just come on the seen. He seemed to know what he was doing and it was obvious that he had very little love for vermin. He kept up the show anyway. He glanced around as if he was afraid that some one was watching or listening then "The main 'ord is a good two days march from 'ere more if'n they go slow, but there es a scout party not 'arf a days march from 'ere, I can tell yer more, leaders, captains, an plans, least what I know bout them. We's willin' ta 'elp defend the fort en any way we can. 'is Lordship don't take kindly ta deserters,"
Toka looked down at the vermin, his face blank. "Tell me, how many are in this horde, score wise?"

"Yeah." Perry nodded, as they reached the bottom of the stairs.
Arya didn't really know what top say, so she lapsed back into silence.
Perry chewed his lip, and looked around awkwardly as they approached Cavern Hole where lunch was almost finished.
"There's o'er 10 score, there used ta be more but a good many died en the long winter up north." said.
Toka's eyes narrowed, "So your seriously telling me that a horde of at least two hundred is headed here, and no one in the surrounding area has noticed. Is that it? And anyway, how'd you get here so quickly?"
Arya saw how few beasts were left, and sighed, relieved.
"We was with the scoutin' party," Skiltch explained "They are still 2 days from here it would take a bit even for a creature ruining none stop to reach here," The squirrel was trying to make him trip up but it wasn't going to work. Draggut stood watching the two in silence His head bobbing up and down from Skiltch to the squirrel as they passed information back and forth.
"Hmmmm." Toka wasn't believing a word they said, "So where did this horde come from then?"

Arnath Entered the Kitchen All her senses where slapped at once. The smell of food baking, the noise and constant chatter, and there was the bustle and creatures brushing up against her and bumping into her. It was more than a bit overwhelming. She was pushed out of the kitchen on feet that where not her own bustles out in a wave of helpers and carts off food. As soon as she was free and had reoriented herself she made her way back to the great hall.
"Where in the far north?" Toka asked, could they be any more vague? he thought.
OOC: I kinda can't do anything without Perry. . . . .
Perry looked around Cavern Hole until he saw two empty seats, "Um, Arya...there's two empty seats over there.........."
"Okay." Arya said, trying not to have a panic attack from sudden claustrophobia and and other creatures.
OOC: Hey guys sorry for being absent. Got busy with work and rl, I hope to be able to come back. Gonna post a IC if still possible.
IC: Lagg was listening to the intently to the conversation about the horde coming in Cavern Hole. He stood in the back until a time arose for an interjection. "If I may bring this up." said Lagg, walking up to the main ones who were talking. "We know a horde is coming, but standing here talking about the inevitable won't change the fact that we need to prepare for it." explained the otter, hoping others would agree. He had his mind on protecting their home when the vermin got here.
OOC hey Lagg don't worry you haven't missed anything. This has kinda been abandoed sadly.
OOC: Yes, it has. *Coughs and looks at Rach hopefully* Can we get going again? I really can't do much without Perry.
OOC it does also depend if Faiy wants to continue. She has some of the important characters.
