I am. My favorite character is Aragorn. Why? Because he's very skilled and adept with any weapon imaginable. Kinda like Matrin the Warrior, but without the whole Spirit-returning-to-warn-and-save-the-abbey stuff.

Great! Boromir's pretty cool... What about female characters? Galadriel and Eowyn for me. How 'bout y'all?

I like both Redwall and LOTR.  And as for my favorite character is Gimli and Legolas.  Those two always make me laugh when they are together.

Someone once said that Lord of the Rings was like Redwall.  I only saw part of the movie(creepy) but I found that it looks nothing like Redwall!

The only thing that connects is that it's fantasy.

"No man can kill me!"

"I am no man!"

Best. Part. Ever. (besides all the epic battle scenes)

I'm a fan (didn't notice this thread before)! I'd say "Redwall" and "LOTR" and "The Hobbit" are equal, but if I had to say one was better I'd go with "LOTR" and "The Hobbit". I'm still going through the Appendicies (I'm reading the ones I'm most interested about, the kings, language and something else I forgot!) and I'm also reading "The Silmarillion". As for favourite characters, I'd go with Treebeard and the Ringwraiths, but Gandalf, Merry and Pippin are also awesome (maybe equal?).

i definitely respect lord of the rings an enormous amount. it was the first of its kind, it is totally phenomenal (is that how you spell it) as for being a fan, i am not the biggest fan its ever had. but they are epicly great. and i respect it enourmously.
