Title: Redwall Lego Creations
Post by: Coobreedan on September 13, 2011, 05:40:07 PM
I've never built a Redwall thing out of Lego, but this guy has!

His little set has Log-a-Log (in the corner) Matthias, Asmodeus and Martin's Sword.

hmmm, well not the finest piece of Lego work I've ever seen. But it's Redwall! It looks like he used clay for the heads, interesting. Perhaps we'll see more of these in the future.

He's used clay (Sculpey to be exact) for Matthias' habit as well.

Ohh! See if you can find more LEGO creations for Redwall! I like this!  ;D I shall borrow my brother's  Legos and build myself a model of Redwall Abbey!

I am DEFINATELY going to build a model of Redwall Abbey out of Legos now! I have all the right Lego pieces to do so, too!

Post by: Coobreedan on September 19, 2011, 04:21:34 PM
I need more bricks and I don't want to destroy my other creations! I'd love to make a Redwall thing...
Title: Re: Redwall Lego Creations
Post by: Nightfire on September 19, 2011, 09:52:52 PM
Hey, make a Lego Asmodeus!!! I think I'll start making Redwall Abbey tonight and then I'll take a picture of it and post it here. Might take a while, though. First I have to barter with my brother to get my hands on those Legos in the first place...
Okay, I made it! :) But how do you post pictures from a folder to this site? I can't post them online.
Title: Re: Redwall Lego Creations
Post by: Lily on September 24, 2011, 08:39:00 AM
You have to upload them first. Tinypic (http://tinypic.com/) is a good place to do this, you don't need to sign up to upload pictures.
Title: Re: Redwall Lego Creations
Post by: Coobreedan on September 24, 2011, 04:02:44 PM
This is gonna be good. I could build stuff with this thing I downloaded.
You build the stuff virtually on the PC, and you can save the pictures. You can order the set too.

UPDATE:
I just build an Asmodeus, but as soon as I built it, it crashed. :'(

Aww. That's terrible! :'(
Title: Re: Redwall Lego Creations
Post by: Nightfire on September 24, 2011, 08:36:10 PM
If you mean by uploading it, you want me to download it and post the pictures online where everybody can see them...I'm not allowed to. And I'm most certainly not going to do so without my parent's knowledge.
Title: Re: Redwall Lego Creations
Post by: Lily on September 25, 2011, 12:07:30 PM
You can't post pictures to this forum without uploading them somewhere first. That's why I suggested tinypic, you don't have to share the link with anyone you don't want to. I was in no way suggesting you do anything without your parents' permission.
Title: Re: Redwall Lego Creations
Post by: Nightfire on September 26, 2011, 05:47:07 PM
Okay, I got permission and tried the Tinypic thing. Tell me if you can see these. I think it worked. I can see them from my server. Okay, the little sword on the roof is the weathervane. I built it using the map from the book Redwall as a guide. The proportions and stuff is all right, but along the way, I ran out of red Lego bricks, so I had to compromise.

Awesome! I don't have enough bricks that are the same colour, seeing as I used them all for a mini Fire Temple. I'll ask for more bricks for my birthday.

Salamandastron would be great!

If you don't have the right LEGO's to do it with you can try LEGO Digital Designer, they have almost every brick in every color! then all you do is take a screenshot or something else.  :)
Plus it's a free software.  :)

hmm... Lego Redwall Sets... Sounds like a great project! I'll probably build mine in Lego Digital Designer as I don't want to run out of a particular kind or color of any bricks, especially when I'm not almost done with it.

Perhaps because animal minifigures look weird, maybe someone should try to make a big version of one of the characters, which would look cool.
Title: Re: Redwall Lego Creations
Post by: Coobreedan on January 28, 2012, 12:37:15 PM
A brick built character? I probably can do that.
Title: Re: Redwall Lego Creations
Post by: Nightfire on January 29, 2012, 11:58:35 PM
I may build Salamandastron, at least, the badger''s forge part of it, but I don't have enough of the right color bricks to do Marshank. And because they're my brother's Legos, I have to have his permission to borrow them. So it might take a little while.

Did you want criticism? Well, I think it's really good but one or two things.

1: Maybe the trunk is a little tooooo wide. Or there are not enough leaves.

2: I think you should have a couple more trees that are big but not so big you can't see Brockhall.

Nice, Leatho! I really like the little details you included in the Abbey like the sword on the weathervane, the fish in the pond and the apple in the tree. One thing, though: I always thought the gatehouse was at ground level. Did you put it on the wall because of space restrictions?

This is my first post here, but I have been a fan of Redwall for a while, I am making a minifigure scale model of Redwall in Lego Digital Designer, it is based on the Abbey from the TV series, I will probably do another abbey that is more in-line with the book's description later, I have a few pictures posted on Eurobricks Forums. Here is the web address:
http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=81599
I have to update the pictures on the forum I have been working on it recently and need to post the pics.
