Curl up by the fire, share your thoughts on the season, and let Gonff know how much you appreciate his contributions over the past few months. :)
@Gonff: I already said this sort of thing privately, but I'll say it in public now. You had already made a name for yourself on the old forum, even before all this happened. But your actions during this crisis have made your selection a given. Congratulations, and keep up the good work.
What have his actions been? I haven't heard much of anything after they went down.
(I always love saying "After the Forums went down". Sounds like something happened that threatened the survival of the world. ;D)
He's played a key role in communicating with the Redwall Abbey company and the hosting company, both giving us a clue what's going on and a hope that we might be able to help do something about it.
Ah, I see. Thanks!
Gonff did a lot to attempt to restore the forum immediately after they went down, and he hasn't given up since. He was also one of the ones who kept those of us on Skype in contact. Jukka was instrumental in that case, too.
You've chosen a beautiful name for this winter, Gonff! Congratulations again, and thanks for everything.
Congratulations, my friend. You've earned it! :D
Congratulations Gonff, and wonderful name. ^ ^
I never knew how hard it was to respond to things like this. It's always been a dream of mine to name a season, but I never thought it would be like this. Thank you again James for choosing me.
As for the name itself, I chose it based on many things. Firstly, this is what happens in my fantasy world of Evon. At wintertime, the trees grow a shell of ice to protect themselves. I have always liked that idea. The other reason is because a forest is a group of trees that do not move. When you freeze something, it cools and is less likely to move since its particles are slowed down. We here on the forum are like trees in a forest, never moving. Sometimes a few of us are chopped down and sent off, but for a better purpose. With the old forum being shut down, it proved that we are a frosted forest, cooled down and let in stone.
I saw this coming! I really did! :D
Like the name and the meanings behind it. Kudos Gonff, and well deserved :)
Welcome Skye! ;D ;D
Thank you, Del :)
Congratulations, Gonff! Wonderful name! :)
Beautiful name Gonff. I love the way you put it. ;D

That's very poetic and beautiful. Congratulations.
