Last post by Dannflower Reguba - November 24, 2024, 08:21:41 PMGiven that the only two parties that would be potential catchers are those who eat meat and Southsward, it seems relatively safe as the first is a potential customer, and the second would need to know that birds are being used to carry messages before they could justify catching them.
Additionally, the messages themselves can be encoded, and/or the birds can be trained to only stop for deliveries.
They could also use sentient messenger birds, potentially even have them memorize the messages instead of carry them in some cases to yet further reduce any risks.
On top of all of this, risk is unavoidable for the Baldoshi, so the question becomes more about whether or not the payout is worth the risk. And when it comes to establishing communications, I'd personally say risk is more than justified.
