I'm thinking of getting one of the audiobooks so I can listen to and really get to understand how all the various accents work.  Should be very helpful for writing fanfiction!

Does anyone have any experience with any of them?  Does any particular one stand out in terms of casting and a healthy variety?

I have only listened to Redwall, Outcast, and Long Patrol. In my option they all shared the high quality of "casting and a healthy variety"

I've listened to a number of them. If you're looking for a variety of vocal performances, I'd recommend Rakkety Tam. It has great accents to listen to and good music as well.

Captain Tammo

Can't recommend them enough. They're great! I have a few of them through Audible and they're like listening to a radio play on the BBC with all the music and characters. It's easy to get into!
"Cowards die a thousand times, a warrior only dies once. The spirits of all you have slain are watching you, Vilu Daskar, and they will rest in peace now that your time has come. You must die as you have lived, a coward to the last!" -Luke the warrior

Thank you guys.  I'll give Rakkety Tam a look!

I will definitely second Rakkety Tam, great accents and a decent amount of songs. Triss and Mariel are also good ones to listen to, but I didn't enjoy Redwall or Mattimeo.
It matters not what you fight, but what you fight for.
