Can anyone recall any characters that didn't have the accent that their specific species should have?  Such as Martha Braebuck, who didn't speak like a hare, but spoke like a normal person.

In the Bellmaker, the mole who lived beneath the castle, I think he was the one mole who didn't have the typical mole accent. I can't remember his name and I don't have the book on me, but I think he was the one who spoke like any well-spoken beast.

Buckler from Sable Quean was a hare who didn't have an accent except for some little times.

It's so annoying when the main characters don't have an accent even though everyone around them does! Has anyone else noticed that?

Most Badger Lords, they have only a small hare accent sometimes.

Which makes sense, since they do live with an army of hares.

The only one I can think of know is Egburt. Yknow, that old mole that was a scholar.
