Dark Forest Gates

—is an experiment in combining the idyllic-yet-conflict-driven world of Brian Jacques' Redwall series, featuring anthropomorphized woodland animals of Britain, with the bleakness, dread and bizarreness of GSC Game World's S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series of games, known for their dense, other-worldly atmosphere.

For Redwall fans: Due to the mature nature of the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. elements, we recommend the forum for more experienced roleplayers—not necessarily adults, but if you're young and you've only been into RPs for a year or so, maybe give it a pass. (Mostly, we just don't want your parents getting angry at you for writing something a little more morbid than Redwall's usual swashbuckling battles.)

For S.T.A.L.K.E.R. fans: Don't be fooled by the setting. Redwall is full of violence, just instead of burly Ukrainian men and giant mutated farm animals, it's cute little mice and weasels. Only in DFG, not so cute anymore, and maybe not so little. If you ever wanted to see what the Zone would be like with more variety in the inhabitants, that's the itch we're here to scratch.

It may seem like a weird combination at first, and... it is. It really is. But that's what makes it work for us.

MOD EDIT: Sorry, this site is not appropriate for a majority of the registered users here based on their age.

Just a note to any members reading this, s.t.a.l.k.e.r is a first-person shooting game from the future with weaponry, swearing and all that.  Blending this and Redwall is an odd combination.

Given this from their site:
QuoteRedwall:
The outer walls have fallen; the bell tower and attics blown away. Only the main building stands. The ground level is empty, the upper floors only for the watchkeepers' use. Everyone else huddles below, in the much-expanded Cavern Hole and cellars. This is the base of operations for all who wish to stay in Mossflower, goodbeast and vermin alike. There are no dibbuns or jolly old abbots, not anymore.

This isn't something that even remotely relates to Redwall, and would not be appropriate for the majority of our members here.

Dear Mods:

Sorry! Yes, STALKER isn't remotely similar to Redwall, that's very true. But I'd say that STALKER + Redwall has the same feel as the Watership Down movie, which admittedly was very depressing and quite bloody.

But notwithstanding, deleting this thread probably would keep a clean line on this forum, so if you'd like to remove it, no worries! I won't mind at all. Thanks!
