Is anyone else in to Geocaching?

Basically, people hide things for people to find. These things can be boxes, small plastic containers, even tiny micro-sized magnets. They all have a log sheet to write down on when you find it and may even have some things to reward you with (just put something else in its place!). Chances are there are caches really close to where you live, so give it a go!

I went out today on my first go to find a few, ended up finding three of the six I was going for. Funny, all the ones I found were in places I go to quite often! :)

I've never been by myself, but some of my friends are really into it and I've gone with them on a few of their searches. They came to visit me in Japan last year and we found a few near where I live, which was cool. I think it's a really great concept.

I've been on a few, but I'm not very good with finding things.  At least, not very good at finding the Geocache box!

Yes, I've put a few down myself, once I was looking for one in a bed of prickers, while it was really in a tree not far away. My GPS was off... :-\

I've really roughed it out by not using or owning a GPS but looking at government satellite images to pin-point the location of the cache (like a spy :)).

That's like what I do, I just take a really thorough look at the spot on the Internet and write down any clues at all to its location. It hasn't harmed me really because the caches I've gone for so far have been local, so just be reading through the description I've been able to figure out where I should be looking.
Although, once this stupid GPS app will install on to my phone, then I'll start using the GPS. Its a good one because it doesn't require ANY Internet acess. :)
