I think they would stink, but as soon as battle came, they would become instant sharp-shooters. ;)
Hey you! What? Expecting a great quote or some heart-warming poem? Too bad, my signature is just boring. Stop reading it. Stop it. Why are you still reading it?

It's been quite a while since I read any of the LOTR books, but from what I remember, Legolas was great at archery, and other people- not so much. Leave the shooting to us elves, we've trained for it all our lives.

Rusvul, I thought you were a Marlfox!

They are quite accurate and pretty good shots.  Halflings/Hobbits within fantasy have had a niche of being good at throwing daggers, rocks, short bows, and using slings.  As for archery, they would have to use short bows.  In the One Ring RPG, Hobbits have a starting package that utilizes the bow.

i MAY of already said this, but in the books, in the books in the end when teh hobbits reclaim the Shire, there are a lot of archer-hobbits. OH! and Aragorn used a bow when he was a Ranger
I hate it when a package says 'easy open' and you need a scissors, a knife, a crowbar, a gun, and a light-saber to open it.
