What happened during the time between Mattimeo and Pearls of Lutra?

I don't know if there is a topic for this, but I wonder what happened during the time in between. Because I don't think that characters like Matthias, Cornflower, Mattimeo, or SAM appear in Pearls of Lutra. Tell me what you think.

Everyone except Rolo, Auma and Martin II died, presumably (and hopefully) of old age/natural causes; and life in Mossflower went on relatively peaceful for several decades.

I actually started a fanfiction on this, but never started it. This is quite a good question.  I think there is a topic of this already, but I have no idea for sure. One plauseable explanation is everyone went about their lives, Matthias and Mattimeo telling the tales of their quests, and other happy things like that.
