I love this idea.  Unfortunately, it doesn't currently seem feasible for most members, not only because we're spread across the globe, but because most are minors who can't travel great distances alone, even domestically.  If ever we were to meet up, it would make the most sense to do so in Texas or a surrounding state.

A convention around anthropomorphic animals does exist; it's called Anthrocon and is held in (James' favourite city) Pittsburgh.  This year, it'll run from June 30 - July 3.  It does appear to be more about furries than about works of literature, though.
