1 Rose
2 Methuselah
3 Bragoon & Saro
4 Mother Mellus
5 All the guys killed in the wreck of the Sayna
6 Shogg
7 The Mask
8 Skarlath
9 Felldoh
10 Luke, or Ranguvar Foeseeker

The only two deaths that made me choke up were Finbarr Galedeep's and The Mask's (both otters, interesting) good thing Warthorn killed Cludd in a horrible way. Rose, Methusela and Mellus's  deaths were also sad. Is Slipp (the one who killed Mellus) the only rat to kill a badger in the series?

Nice job, i agree on most. My top 5 are
1. Rose-this was so sad, i thought she and martin would be together after the battle
2. The Mask-right after his entrance into the book he became my favorite character
3. Feldoh-the way he just died on the battlefield kind of...annoyed me. If he was going to die, i wanted him to die, by killing Badrang
4.Methuselah-i did not think he was going to die, so i was really surprised when Chickenhound killed him, he and Matthias were really close

I have now read many more books, here are all the saddest ones:
Finbarr Galedeep: I think I actually did have tears coming down for that one
Cregga: It was so nice, but so sad. I hope to die as peaceful as that
The Mask: I loved The Mask, so this one hurt
Rose: Obviously
Methusela: I liked him a lot
Abbot Mortimer: He was, and is one of my favorite redwall characters
The crew of they Sayna: To die just so disgustingly, smashed into a boat while sleeping by a disgusting stoat
Friar Skurpul: He WAS SO NICE!
