i'm not sure if poems is the right word but oh well.

here is one that i just read in the book im reading, taggerung,

After spring's soft rain is done,
At waning of the moon,
four dry solid days of sun,
will bring forth growth and bloom.
i just thought that this sounded nice. ;D

One of my favorite is

Like the sun, High Rhulain will rise anew,
     to the downtrodden free.
A warriormaid with Wildlough blood
     must cross the Western Sea.
She who looks ever through windows
at the signs which feathers make,
seek the Green Isle through her knowledge,
       for all thy kin

One sang by Gonff (I always imagine this with one of the mary Poppins tunes)
"Pickalock pickalock, you'll regret the day,
When you took a mousethief and locked him away.
Sillycat, look at that, it's two for one,
The thief and the warrior
By dawn will be gone."

and my favourite Rollo one
"I wrestle a fish upon a dish,
Cut off 'is his 'ead while he's in bed,
An' take a rat an' make him dead,
For goooooooood oooooooooooold cideeeeeeeeerrrrrrrr!

ha that is a good one i like it

heres one from the taggerung:

who can outrun the wind
yet turn on a single leaf,
stand silent as an amberfly
or steal the breath from a thief,
the taggerung!
who can outswin a pike,
whose eyes are keen as a hawk's,
who brings death in his wake
yes leaves no mark where he walks?
zann juskarath taggerung!  :D

The one by Raventail's band is really cool, one of my favourite's.

Here's d'blade wot stop yore breath!
Kye arr rakkachakka whummwhummwhumm!

I enjoyed the song between Keyla and Rose in Martin the Warrior and Grath's song in Pearls of Lutra
"There's some good in this world, Mr.Frodo, and it's worth fighting for."-Samwise Gamgee from The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers

Graths song;

Run from me,
Hide from me,
Still my shafts will find you,
All you vermin of the sea,
I must bring swift death to.

Lutra's Holt has not yet gone,
By my bow I swear it so,
I alone will carry on,
Wreaking vengeance where I go.

Run from me,
Hide from me,
Hear my longbow singing,
Grath of Lutra's family,
Sleep to you is bringing.

Love this poem so bad.

I like the one at the very begining of the Sable Quean.
Never trust a smiling pirate.  :D

I can do that because I'm awesome.

"It really gets up my nose when publishers call my book another Lord of the Rings. It's my bloody book! I wrote it. And another thing, I didn't have to plunder Norse and European mythology to do it!" - Brian Jacques.

OH There are soooo many good ones!!!! I absobalylutly love them all! :o

one o' my faves.

Fight lads fight!
Bite lads bite!
Gonff will dine on cheese and wine,
when 'e gets 'ome tonight! :D

I am the teller of tales, gaze into the fire with me,
for I know of the Badger lords, and their mountain by the sea.
Tis of a fearsome warrior, filled with fate and destiny,
who followed dreams, along strange paths,
unknown to such as we.
This badger was fearless, as all who folowed him knew,
and the haremaid he befriended, why she was as young as you!
But no less bold or courageous, full of valor and strong of heart,
Aye, young uns like you, good and true, may stand to take their part.
So here is my story, may it bring,
some smiles and a tear or so,
it happened once upon a time, far away and long ago.
Outside the night wind, keens and wails,
come listen to me, the teller of tales.
                         :)
Love it!!!!!!
