This is for those of you with the audiobooks or the 20 Years of Redwall Music CD. I haven't seen a topic about this, so I thought I'd ask myself. What's your favorite Redwall song. This includes both the audiobooks and TV series (just because I thought Lindsey Connell did such a good job as Rose's singing voice ;)). Let's go with top five.

My votes would go to:
"Rose's Noonvale Song" from Martin the Warrior
"The Ballad of Tammo" from The Long Patrol
"Martin" from Salamandastron
"Hop Hop Hop" from Doomwyte
"Diggs and Buck" from The Sable Quean

Rose's song is on top, regardless of which version of the song. The TV version gets bonus points for being deliberately used to get a second wave of tears. I always enjoy the opening poems/songs and "The Ballad of Tammo" was wonderfully sung. "Martin" is up because I enjoy ballads. Spingo's "Hop Hop Hop" is just so catchy you have to love it and the same goes for "Diggs and Buck." What do you think?

Here's this link for those of you that don't have access to audiobooks.

"In my books there is life and death. Goodies get killed as well as baddies. It's not like Walt Disney where there are singing teapots and we all go over the hill singing bobbidy-bobbidy-boo at the end so goodies get killed as well as baddies." -Brian Jacques

I absolutely love how they have all the songs sung and instrumentalized in the audio versions.  Here's my top five:

5. Bee Song from High Rhulain
4. Home Returning from Outcast of Redwall
3. Bryony's seasons song from Outcast of Redwall
2. Otterclans' War Song from High Rhulain
1. Kroova's Song from Triss

Those are some good ones. "Kroova's Songs" is definitely among my favorites, too. I have to say that I also like "The Tabura's Song" from Eulalia! and "The Ones I Love" from Martin the Warrior. Since it's a title I made up myself because it doesn't have one, "The Ones I Love" is the song Rose sings in the Marshwood Hill. Anybody else have some favorites?

Oh...let's see...

1. The Tabura's Song from Eulalia
2. Home Returning from Outcast of Redwall
3. Rose's Song(Don't know what it's called) from the TV series
4. Education from Triss
5. The Ballad of Tammo from The Long Patrol

Or at least those are the ones I remember loving.  :)

The Gulo Song from Rakkety Tam
The TV Show's version of the Rose's Noonvale Song
The first song from Outcast of Redwall
The Battle of Boiling Water from The Taggerung (though I have to use my imagination for that one)
Martin from Salamandaston
Romsca's Song from Pearls of Lutra (again, I use my imagination)

..And a BUNCH more.

Sometimes I wonder if Jacques had the Audiobooks in mind when he wrote those things (especially in the later books)...

It seems that "Rose's Noonvale Song" from the TV series is really popular.

I know that The Bellmaker audiobook is available on CD, but the problem is finding someone to isolate the song and upload it. I don't have The Bellmaker CD, but I do have the CDs for Martin the Warrior and Rakkety Tam. It would be interesting to have all the songs online in some form of database (Redwall Wiki?), but I don't know how legitimate that would be.

THE NOONVALE SONG!!!  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RWCFtWks32o

This is the saddest song I have ever heard :(

I was watching the cartoon and badrang ran rose through with martins sword ;( I bet when Tsarmina broke it, martin got sad because it had rose on it and in it
I want the world of Tolkien,
The message of Lewis;
The adventure of Jacques,
And the heart of Milne.
But I want the originality of me.

I like a lot of the songs. Hard to choose just one.

BlueRose

Tramp Tramp Tramp from Taggerung
Battle of the Boiling Water from Taggerung
That one from Eulalia... I can't for the life of me remember the name of the badger girl who sang it.
Around the Riverbend from Taggerung (I think...)

Also pretty much any of Nimbalo's songs.
Was anyone else on the old DAB forum, circa 2009? I was recently reminded of it, lol.

Bitterly jittery, and not very glittery.
