I was trying to make a joke. :P

I saw it yesterday and it is AMAZING. The music and character development was great and I felt it kinda went off the usual Disney track, in a good way.

Try and guess my favorite character.

If it isn't obvious...  ;D

No, how dare you, what would make you think that?!

Yeah.

Did I cry in the theater? No one but me was there, so no one can make accusations or prove anything.

Did I buy the soundtrack the next day? Guilty as charged. I have "You're Welcome" memorized.
Was anyone else on the old DAB forum, circa 2009? I was recently reminded of it, lol.

Bitterly jittery, and not very glittery.

I actually started softly crying during 'How Far I'll Go'.

Hate to admit it, I started crying during the Grandmother scenes the second time I saw it.
Because She's pretty much a reflection of my own Grandmother. :(

((Luckily no one saw!))

I liked the visuals of the movies and appreciated what went into making it but I didn't like how fast paced the movie was. Something I've noticed is that in American animation there's not much time to take in how the character's feeling and to feel empathy towards them. A bit of that problem is with Disney making their movies as pretty much musicals when you would normally have a break from a fast paced action scene you get a song instead which is usually bouncy and quick in order to make it catchy.

I really like that with Moana they are broadening the body types that they use with main characters. Her hair is also close to the same texture as my own which is nice to have a Disney character that you can relate to visually. I just didn't empathize much with her.

I liked it. The music was great, the storyline intriguing, and the characters were entertaining. The ending had an unexpected twist, which is kind of a new thing to Disney ;D. Over all it was just fun and good entertainment. Better than Frozen, equal to Tangled, in my opinion.
