And besides the badgers, rabbits, and stoats, they're kinda big.

Actually stoats are mustilids and badgers are related to dogs and bears. But rabbits are rodents yes.

However if you don't want a monkey that's fine, I'll leave.

You can be a lemur if you want. Just not a full-blown ape or chimpanzee. We're not trying to drive you away, we just would like to keep the creatures' sizes at a consistent size.

"M'lady Nightfire we spotted some vermin over yonder thought ye should know they've been spying on us ma'am" Piper panted the last words as Maybelle came to conform the sighting
"They're south M'lady did not see us watching them I'm pretty sure!"
