I started Martin the Warrior, but never finished it, so Mossflower. I eventually went back, and read Martin the Warrior, but only after I'd read loads of the others.   ::)

Cornflower MM

The first one I read was Mossflower, and now I have it nearly memorized.

Sorry if I've already typed here (don't want to scroll back through at the mo) - the first book I read I believe was The Long Patrol. That or Lord Brocktree as they are the first books I bought together from a carboot sale. They were certainly a good introduction to the series for me. :D

My first Redwall book was Marlfox back in fourth grade. It's still in my top three with the two above it being Martin the Warrior and Mossflower. When I read it, I thought it was probably the most amazing book I ever read. I finished reading it and tried to convince anyone I could to read the books. I still am.

I mostly bungled it, but I tried to read them in chronological order. I know people say to read them in publication order, but I've always preferred chronological order. I think the order I read them in was:

Marlfox
Redwall
Mattimeo
Martin the Warrior
Mossflower
Lord Brocktree
The Legend of Luke
Outcast of Redwall
Mariel of Redwall
The Bellmaker
Salamandastron
Pearls of Lutra
The Long Patrol
Taggerung
Triss
Loamhedge
Rakkety Tam
Eulalia!
The Sable Quean
Doomwyte
High Rhulain
The Rogue Crew

The Skarzs

I read them all the order from the lists in the book fronts. I think I got more of it that way.
