Korath is not an evil beast, just... used to being hated. He would not chase kids into the mouth of a snake.

What could happen is, they escape because of Kunick and Korath tries to round them up and bring them back to the Abbey to show he is good. Howerver since the dibbuns fear him they run into Mossflower and one of them gets eaten. That would give Korath a great incentive to prove his worth/goodness.
