He could be talking about the idea of foot massages, and that idea being singular. I mean, if it's multiple foot massages, why isn't it 'feet massages'?

If it was the idea of foot massages, it would have said so. As for the foot/feet issue, it's called foot massages because each foot gets done individually. It's multiple massages, not multiple feet.
