It's a look that not every guy can pull off, unfortunately.

Half of my brothers have their hair down to their shoulders or below. One of them has insanely curly blond hair, and the other has much straighter dark hair.
Infant Ebby is a smol, out-of-control firebending terror. It's a good thing she's also quite cute.

May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
And rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of His hand.

I don't object to long hair on boys, but I appreciate short hair on boys even more.
I have a shiny thing! See?

Let's just say that it's easier to pull off the younger you are.  My hair used to be a bit above my shoulders, but no longer (obviously, lol)  I could probably still pull it off, but it wouldn't look quite the same.

Of course, I have no idea how old your brothers are.

True. People managed it for hundreds of years in the past though.

I'm not sure how I would look in long hair...

...Now I'm curious...

I think I'll go for a "Stoic the Vast" kinda look.

True. People managed it for hundreds of years in the past though.

Some people, yes.  Just as some people do now.  Nowadays, though, it's far easier to keep and style short hair than it was a couple hundred years ago.

Male hair length has meant many things over the years, and much of the time it was a status symbol.  Nowadays, though, long hair on men tends to be viewed as "unprofessional", which could be due to a number of reasons.  I think a couple of those reasons are, one, it's far easier to keep short hair looking tidy, and two, long hair is generally attributed to youthfulness.  Since people tend to live longer nowadays, there's a much larger "older" population than there used to be, and they tend view youthfulness as a bad trait for adults to have, whereas in the past it was viewed as a good thing.  It's strange to think about, but during the middle ages, a male in his mid-twenties was middle aged, based on average adult life spans.  That being the case, it makes sense that men of that time considered youthfulness to be a sort of symbol of power.

I'm just speaking off the top of my head here, of course.  Don't take my words as fact

Okay, I won't.

That's a fairly long post, by the way. O_O Well done.
