You know the thing with Thorn and Karina? He said at one point 'that ship has sailed', which has a different meaning among fans than what he was using it for. Perhaps a wedding to rival Halt and Pauline's. If most of the guests are Skandians, then lives will be saved. If some aren't invited, then the Herons will be sent halfway across the world to save an Araluen. (I haven't read past The Ghostfaces, btw).
