I found it enjoyable, with great characters (Martin, Gonff, Dinny, Folgrim and Vilu Daskar, to name a few), interesting plots and a bit different to the normal formula. Plus, it is one of Brian Jacques' older books in the series, of which I generally prefer.

Lack of character development, mostly. I think Tiria Wildough is sue-like. Also, I think she should have kills that main guy (forgot his name) in a better way then just killing him with a sling. Still, it isn't my least favourite book, and there were some pretty epic stuff in that book.
