This is just a discussion topic for probably one of my favorite book series of all time, the Malloreon. If he haven't read it and you're a fan of fantasy, you might want to check it out. It's by David Eddings.

Yeah, but you should probably read the Belgariad first. The Mallorean is the sequel series. Sorry I didn't mention it before.
