The Million Dollar Gambit, Chapter Four (Part One.)
(I could really come up with a more relevant name.)

   Three goons were watching me 'n the girl: two of em side by side, and another closer to the front. He looked like just a kid. I herded Maribelle alongside me as we rushed to the cabins behind the bagman. After he left I handed her one of the pistols I had... picked up.
"In case ya need to protect yourself, angel."
"What's your plan now that we've changed course?"
"I gotta get back in touch with your pa, let 'im know you're alive. There's a trolley near the old apartments that'll take us to the next train station."
"Why don't we go back?"
I shook my head. "Cops'll be all over the place. Too dangerous."
"I'd rather be caught by them. Anyway, nobody caught a glimpse of your face, so they won't be lookng for you."
"I'm kinda noticeable."
"Call Dad when we reach the station; we're going back, Anders."


As the time that the router gets shut off nears, I will leave this piece of  chapter four here.

I might rewrite some of the dialogue for this; it felt stiff.
