To be fair, you don't have to go to Hogwarts. There are other schools.

Except muggleborns don't know that, and by the time they're in Hogwarts, there's not much point changing. And ones in other countries won't speak English, or at least not well.

There iiiissss a school in America. I forget the name though.

Altogether there are 12 wizarding schools. The one in North America is Ilvermorny, there's Hogwarts in Scotland, Beauxbatons in France, Durmstrang in Northern Europe, Uagadou in Uganda, one in Japan, one in Brazil, and I've forgotten the rest.
